How to make a Small Animal Hammock

Materials Needed for this tutorial:
- Sewing Machine
- Scissors
- Pen/pencil
- Ruler
- Pin or Clips
- Grommets
- Fleece (2 pieces, cut in a rectangle)
My fleece was cut 16” x 24” (for more than one ferret, I recommend increasing the size. This size did work for my ferrets, but after making it, I feel that it would be better if it was bigger.)

How would I make this with tabs?

I am going to do another tutorial to show that, but to make it with tabs you would have to not fold it in half and use a separate piece to make the top. Also by doing it that way you would not need to make the rectangle as long because you wouldn’t be folding it in half to create the top. I’m hoping to get the tutorial with tabs up this weekend.
My brain was working slow that day and for ferrets it’s probably best to have it with tabs because it hangs lower that way. For rats the grommets are great. They can climb in it differently than ferrets.
