How to Make a Cuddle Cup for Cats / DIY Tutorial

- After finding my 18 pound cat trying to squeeze himself into one of the ferrets tiny cuddle cups, I decided to make him his own and he absolutely loves it! The best part about this tutorial is you can adjust the size and make a cuddle cup for your small animals, cats and small dogs! There is a list of materials below, along with links to some of the materIals I used.

A thicker batting can be used in place of the fusible fleece to help the cuddle cup hold its shape. (Link below)

- Fusible Fleece Pellon Thermo 971
- Batting (type used in video)
Measurements of the bed in the video:
Finished: 16” round x 6.5” tall sides
Cut side pieces to: 7” (H) x 56” (L)
Bottom: 17.5” round

Love this idea for cats.i have cats and I sew for my guniea Pigs.the cat is always wanting to sleep on the bed.
My cat loved this way more than I thought he would. He is always trying to get in the ferret cuddle cups, but I wasn’t sure if it was because they smell like the ferrets or because he liked the bed. He has slept in it everyday since I made it 😂. So I think it’s safe to say he really liked it as a bed.
I have been trying to make one but use 1 inch upholstery foam which my sewing machine cannot get through so I can’t figure out how to get it in there without it floating around and I also can’t seem to size my pattern up correctly so they keep coming up wonky. Does anyone have anything that can help??
