      I came to say the same thing! In fact, I'm convinced that all the posts/videos I saw on fleece not working properly (wicking liquids through it) is due to them not properly preparing it 👍🏽

    Great video! Alternatively, if you don't have a rotary mat, ruler, and cutter you could use wrapping paper as a paper pattern. I buy the wrapping paper that has the 1" grid on the backside. Very easy to cut out the size you need and it is reusable! 🙂

    I know this is an old video, but I just had one question. I’ve watched other homemade fleece line or videos, and some use a waterproof mattress protector as the bottom layer. Have you noticed the bottom fleece layer getting wet in your liners? I am currently using Guinea dad, liners and Pee pads, but I’d also like to have back ups.

    • @TheTinyHerd
      @TheTinyHerd  Před rokem

      I don’t use the waterproof layers, I prefer having multiple fleece options. If you’re cleaning the cage often enough and using smaller pads in high traffic areas it shouldn’t get that wet. If the bottom and top layers are wet then there is a ton of liquid in the absorbent layer.

      Spot clean and change out smaller pads as they get wet daily. Full cage cleans once a week. I have a bunch of cage cleaning and spot cleaning videos on my channel!

      Depending on were you are located Joanne's or Walmart is a good local store to get your fleece or there are a lot of websites you can order different kinds of decorative fleece and even solid colors shipped right to you

      In this video I'm using a Juki TQ1000, but I do a significant amount of sewing other than fleece. I used to use a Singer Heavy Duty for my liners before I had my Juki and it worked great for fleece.

      @TheTinyHerd  Před rokem +1

      @@tennesseegirl5539 I don't recommend cages for rabbits. What type of cage/pen do you have? Most people litter train their rabbits so they don't really need bedding the way guinea pigs do. There are options like foam tiles or just fleece without the absorbent layer you can use. You just have to figure out what your rabbits will chew.
