    Buc-ees is well known to have the cleanest and most well stocked restroom you will find when traveling. They literally sparkle. The women's restroom has 30+ stalls. Jolly did not cover even half of what they carry. Hunting, fishing and camping supplies along with men's women's and children's clothing. They have a huge home decor section and a large area of kitchenware. Children's toys, candles and much much more. You saw a small section of the food and snacks they carry. They have freshly made brisket sandwichs along with other smoked meats. They have a HUGE coffee area and an ice cream station. It is an amusement park for adults. Ha Ha. Buc-ees also pays it's employees very well and is reportedly a fantastic company to work for. Great reaction guys. Blessing to you from Texas.

    Just fyi, mesquite (pronounced mess-KEET) is a hardwood tree native to Texas and the southwest. The wood is used to barbecue/smoke meat. It's drought tolerant, and Native Americans used to eat the seed pods (which look like long green beans) - they can be eaten fresh, or dried and ground into flour.

    I've been to Buc-ee's for the first time this year when I visited one in Alabama on my way to Florida. The Texas chain has been expanding rapidly recently. We have two in Kentucky now which are the ones furthest north but they are also in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee as well as Texas. They are also spreading further north and west with plans for stores in Colorado and Wisconsin as well as more in the southeast in Missouri, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Virginia. Odds are getting better and better that you'll be near one when you visit the states.

Buc ees is known for their smoked brisket sandwiches, as well as their smoked turkey sandwiches, pulled barbecue pork sandwiches; not to mention their fresh beaver chips (fried potato chips(crisps) ), and many other foods. Jolly also didn't show the enormous amount of clothing, camping gear, and general merchandise. There is so much more to Buc ees than reactors show.

  • @tvc1848

    Buc-ee’s is pure Texas in origin and has been around for 40 years. Even then it is not in every part of the state, being centered mostly around the big cities of Houston, San Antonio/Austin area and the Dallas/Fort Worth areas.
    About 4-5 years ago they started expanding regionally to the southern and southeastern part of the US. It is soon to open its first location west of Texas (but not by far) in Colorado.
    I think there are almost 50 of the super travel centers now with 12 outside of Texas but more to come both in and out of Texas. I believe that Alabama has 4 locations and the most outside of Texas.
    I have been to maybe 7 of their locations in and out of Texas.

A correct Czech Kolache is a sweet yeast roll baked with fruit, prune, apple, cherry, cream cheese, pineapple, lemon, and more in the middle of the roll and baked till just golden and then a egg white wash spread on the roll and baked till egg is shining clear. Then set to warm and have with your favorite coffee. Kolackes are with sausage cheese and add ham or jalapenos, or whatever you want.

    mesquite = _"mess-KEET"_ or sometimes _"meh-SKEET" or "m'SKEET"_
    it is a tree that grows in much of Texas. it's not accurate, but can be considered USA's answer to the African acacia tree. it is frequently used when grilling and/or barbequing to provide a unique smoky flavor to the meat.

    Never been to one but, the guys on the sports message board that I follow always talk about the Beaver Nuggets and the clean bathrooms. Always saying, “it’s so clean that you can take a nap in the bathroom.”
    Louisiana is finally getting one. The founder was born in Texas and, has roots in Louisiana (his dad and grandparents). The one they’re going to build here will be located in a city named Ruston, where I graduated from college 26 years ago. It’s a 3 hour drive from my location.

    "Mesquite" is a "tree". It's pronounced "mes-KEET". They are not actually a tree but an intrusive weed system that grows in Texas that is big enough to consider a bunch of shade trees. They look like trees. They provide shade like trees. But they are WEEDS. And their "wood" provides a unique, delicious flavor when used to create smoke.

    They really didn't show everything in Buc-ees there is so much more. They have cast iron skillets, outdoor smokers, shoes, blankets etc. My favorite beef jerky is the steakhouse and the bohemian garlic. 😋

    The Buc-ees that we stop at everytime we travel to Ft. Worth is amazing. They have the cleanest, best stocked bathrooms I've ever seen. Jolly didn't even show you half of what's in that store.
    They also have one of the BEST bbq sandwiches I've ever tasted and I worked at a bbq restaurant in high school. I don't care for jerky but the teriyaki tastes great. The cherry maple is disgusting imo.
    To me Beaver Nuggets taste similar to Corn Pops cereal.
    Never lay a cowboy hat like he did. You always set it down upside down so the curved brim doesn't flatten out otherwise you have to go get your hat reshaped too often.
