I just bought one a couple days ago. There are break in instructions on a little card hanging on the air hose hookup that say an extension cord is not recommended but the sticker on the front of the tank mentioned soft startup when using an extension cord and in the manual it has a chart showing what length extension cord to use in certain circumstances. I don't plan to use an extension cord but I did find it odd.
Extension cords..... Depending on your length of cord. Make sure it’s the proper gauge for the amps. If you use too small of a cord and if it’s too long you can damage the compressor or start an electrical fire. The guy in the video is right. Use a longer hose.

Manual wont show where the air hose pressure should be on the 30 minutes break in. It just point full air drain open .
Open relief valve and turn pressure knob to off. Run 30 minutes to break in.
