@@tfbtv Story of my life, I bought a Pork Sword .300blk bolt action customized pistol for THREE GRAND, I could’ve just bought a cheaper bolt action and got a decent night vision monocular. Everyone needs one, I will say the four grand for my ATN thermal was worth every penny tho.

I like the play on words of the name. Taurus is Latin word Bull and Toro is Bull in Spanish and probably Portuguese too, considering the Taurus gun company is Brazilian and they speak Portuguese. That makes sense in my mind.

Nobody would drive a cheap car if they could afford better but the difference in Trusting your life with aPOS handgun when a name brand 99.9% reliable is only a few hundred more escapes reason. That said the Bursa Thunder.380 is one of my favorites and has never failed to perform. Great vid, stay safe!

I had a bad experience with a Taurus Tracker revolver. I hope that they've stepped-up their game with the G3 quality control.

Go to Lakeline LLC’s website. They sell some pretty good plates for the G2C and G3C that will allow you to mount full size or micro red dots

Honestly, the safety on the Taurus is so perfect you can either use it, or easily ignore it.
I thought so too, but I have had at least one instance of the safety of my G2C flipping on to safe while I was carrying it. Don't know how it happened since it's so low profile, but it did.
@@MCgrease08 Train to bring your thumb down on the safety as you draw. It doesn't slow you down, but it guarantees the safety is off.

@@Megames2012 I only carry it very occasionally. My main EDC pistol does not have safety, so I am not willing to spend the time training with a safety when 98% of the time I won't have one.

I don’t care much for Taurus or videos about them but I must say Hop is the only exception. The way he carry’s himself just makes these videos pleasing. So in other words Hop is the only reason I ever watch videos about Taurus firearms hahaha

For a appendix carry holster, you can't go wrong with a Armordillo Concealment LUX. There's 2 models, 1 sized for the Surefire X300 pistol light, and the other is sized for the Streamlight TLR-1 family. I happen to have one, and I've been carrying my G19 nonstop since I got the holster. Im running a basic Streamlight TLR-1s and I plan on getting a TLR-1HL soon.

I’ve never been disappointed with any Taurus I’ve purchased. They’ve proved they can keep up with if not compete with the “Big Boys”, at half the price! I have a PT 24/7 Pro C DS in 45ACP. The subcompact prototype or precursor of the Millennium or G2. Its the smallest pistol I have and the standard mag holds 10 rounds! The extended holds 12, so that’s a total of 23 rounds of .45acp! It is double/single action with a decocker and an overall dimension of ~6””x4”Hx1”W. It’s absolutely my favorite carry pistol despite the extra heft of 23 rounds of 45 and the extra thickness of a double stack. It’s a Taurus, so it definitely had a break in period but after about 200-250 rounds, the trigger smoothed out and the double action settled in. It does have a lot of trigger, after that mile long take up before break it breaks very nice with a super short reset. I wish that Taurus would have continued the production of these subcompact 24/7 Pros, but Taurus didn’t have the name behind them yet when they produced them, otherwise I believe they would have had a flagship pistol with this one! I don’t know any other .45 subcompact, this size that holds 10 +1 with a 12 round extended mag. I also like to see the look on guys faces when I show them this pistol for the first time. Not to mention answering “no” every time I’m asked if I want to sell it! LOL

funny Taurus actually has a superior mounting system compared to most of the other manufactures. Others like GlocK, CZ and Springfield you mount the plate to the slide then the optic to the plate and there is lies the issue. a very small amount of threads to hold optic on. Taurus the screws for the OPTIC actually go through into the slide not mount to the plate. their slide has 2 sets of holes drilled in them for various optics and the plates just space the optics into proper position. one other company has a similar design and is patented. The Shadow Systems MR920s where the optic actually mounts direct to the slide with spacers in front or behind the optic depending on what optic you use and they have 2 sets of holes also.
Nice review, I'm glad they're putting on the G3C sights, not a fan of using any optics on any firearm platform, if I can't hit what I am aiming at with the iron sights, I don't need to be owning a gun!

Got both…… G3 & G3c, I’m in the same wheelhouses as you, I’m a fan, but in the minority at my local gun range. That’s ok with me…. I have 2 reliable guns and can afford to buy lots of ammo with the money Taurus has saved me! Thanks Hop!

I'd love to see him review one of these pistols with the new lakeline extended threaded barrels. I got one for my G2C which I also mounted lakeline micro-comp on. In addition I installed a red Galloway precision mounting plate and an ADE green dot, and it shoots beautifully!!! Oh...I also got G3 17 rounder magazine with a lakeline filler piece (so it doesn't wobble) for nightstand duty. Overall I'm exceptionally happy with what I refer to as "the race gun for the poor's". I think I'll definitely be moving up to the larger G3 in the near future. As good as the Millenium series shoots, I don't really feel any urge to buy a Glock or Sig when I can use that money to buy other quality budget guns. Recently I bought a Taurus 605 poly protector (tan model) and I'm likewise thrilled with its performance. Very solid and awesome-looking .357 magnum 2" revolver.
Ever since Taurus CEO changed they've been doing much better I have the PT111 G2 and I have 10000 + rounds through it
I also have a g2 with over 10k rounds through it. Vary reliable
I have the same one though not as many rounds through it yet. Great gun so far
I bought a PT111 G2 and then for good measure the PT140 G2. The last time I checked my range journal I had 11,000+ through the PT111 and just over 10,000 through the PT140. Nothing done to either. I retired the PT140 from EDC because of the pounding it takes from 40 S&W. If they would bring it the G3c in 40S&W I'd have to give it a look for carry.
Also own that same model. Absolutely love it and its been just as reliable as my other pricier handguns.
I HAVE 13 TAURAS FIREARMS. MY GO TO CARRY IS A 24/7 I GOT AT LEAST 25 YEARS AGO. IN THAT TIME WITH NO BULLSHIT , PUT 30,000 ROUNDS THREW IT . NO ISSUES ,A FEW JAMS FROM CHEAP ALUMINUM CASED ROUNDS ,BUT OVER ALL SOUND AND RELIABLE. ONE ISSUE ARE THE REVOLVERS MADE . IN THE LAST 4 OR 5 YEARS THEY'VE GOTTEN BETTER. BUT BEFORE THAT THEY HAD ISSUES .

Looks solid. With the red-dot, sight upgrade for dot, and a threaded barrel (when available), that should sell very well and raise the bar for budget consideration. That and G3c are a consideration imo.

I thought Taurus had a winner with the Millennium Pro G2, so I am glad they are sticking with a good gun. Been carrying it for several years now, and had a lot of ammo thru it, not one hiccup. I am sure the G3 is just as good. Thanks for going out and freezing for our amusement.

Taurus has gotten a lot better. I have the Pt111 G2 an the G3 in my collection an both run flawlessly about 1300 rounds threw my G2 not one hiccup

I really like your no B.S. style.. I love my G3, I've been looking and getting the G3C, I'm a little excited with this new one, I've never used a red dot before, but I can definitely see the advantage to one.
But to be honest, I've never been a gun guy, but the way the world is today, I really want to protect my family, I'm getting older, and a Cancer survivor, I can't defend myself, like I once did, I only have about 10 seconds of some killer shit, after that, I'm sucking wind.. Lol

For an AIWB that works with a Streamlight, take a look at Phlster Floodlight. Been using them for a few years, good holsters. It fits just about anything except the Steyr pistols.
Wow Hop, you were really worrying me there for a sec! From my perspective, it appeared as though you were pointing your weapon back toward your head/face when reloading at the beginning of the video. Then I realised it was just the camera angle!
I like the safety. Operationally, even consider it a little better than average. Not using a safety is probably why you consider leather holsters as inevitably leading to negligent discharges. I'm all for choice though, so hopefully they start offering a safety-less model at some point. Like the look of this, and the TX 22 competition. So weird liking Taurus as much as I do these days.

So has eaten everything that I have fed it .. including some horrible looking mystery steel-case that I purchased dirt cheap a few years ago and for some reason I had it in a plastic bag ..
probably 200rds of that stuff ..

FYI, you can take 15 round G3 mags and fit then with the Plus 2 adapter plate that Mec-Gar makes and they'll actually hold 18 rounds. So you can carry a G3 with 18+1
