- In this episode of TFBTV, Hop tests the new $100 Bushnell RXS-100 on a Taurus G3 TORO to find out if it can compete with pistol red dots costing up to five times as much. The RXS-100 and RXS-250 are two new pistol red dots from Bushnell that use the common Delta Point Pro mounting pattern. The RXS-250 has a surprising amount of features for the price, but the RXS-100 strips away the high end features in order to be the cheapest pistol red dot on the market. But how cheap is too cheap?

I Appreciate that Hop still doesn't bash Taurus, no matter how expensive his other guns have now become. Been watching since your review of the TH9, then Hop's Budget Blaster series.

I have an RXS-100 on a G-19. It runs reliably and the dot is clear and easily adjustable for brightness. The Deltapoiont Pro footprint is common plus strong with four posts plus the screws. I'm not concerned about the 12-hour auto-shutoff as it rarely would be an issue and it takes just a moment to press the button to power back up. Five year electronics warranty and lifetime for the rest is excellent for peace of mind purchasing this newer and inexpensive red dot sight.
Did you have a cut slide? And if so, what mounting plate did you use?

"I have to turn the sight on every 12 hours" is a pretty weak downside for a $100 red dot. I figured there would be something much more serious for $100...
I have a Bushnell Advance sight on a Mk IV pistol. As said, .22 isn't exactly hard on a sight, especially when the sight isn't on a moving slide, but it was on clearance when I bought it and it's great for semi-precision plinking.
I got one, and its perfect for range toy pistols. I think its an awesome product for people who are getting into a pistol red dot for the first time to practice with before breaking the bank on something worth carrying.
Whaaaaa!!! I was totally one of the guys that called out Hop for using a DPP on the G3 TORO, and said he should’ve been using this sight & a $30 Amazon weaponlight.

I just bought the taurus g3c and it came optic cut and with the bushnell red dot. Guy at the store said it wasn't bad, I haven't had the chance to take it to the range yet but it looks decent. Plenty bright and easy to pick up
Same gun and 12rnds and the red dot glass is broken!!! Got to send it to Bushnell Factory.

Swampfox arrowhead 1-10 LPVO is amazing and only about $500. Second focal plain (for anyone that is turned off to that). Not $1,500 but will complete with those for sure!

wonder how much cost the shake awake feature would add, especially since they already make it for the 250? I gotta agree with Hop, this'd be a great plinker or even hunting red dot, but I don't want to have to remember to turn my sight on under duress. Could it be trained into your manual of arms? Sure, eventually. Should one have to add that to their to do list? No. Not for a defensive piece.
Great review! But can you check the are where the red dot is projected from? I got one of these and mine doesnt have a glass that protects that inside. Mine doesnt have one and wonder if the design was intended.

Hop - sig226 mags work in the pt111 & the g3 uses same cuts. i'd bet $5 that 226 mags will work in this as well...

Hey Hop, you're crushing the whites and it's making you look like a Michael Jackson in personator.
I scored a fastfire3 new in the box for a buck fifty and very happy,used but new.
Stuck it on my 19 gen5 mos.
The funny thing is up here in Canuckistan the Holosun and RXS250 are about the same price. Granted it is ~400.... but hey at least our ammo is cheaper and relatively available
this didn't age well.
I'd be more interested in the 250. I could see that as being a worthwhile budget carry optic for budget carry guns like the Taurus TOROs. The 100 isn't built for carry (as you stated). It seem like you had a 250 and shot with it. If you have footage from that, please edit it up, narrate it, and post it. I'd like to see that.
I have the Holosun 510 c on my m and p 15 and love it. But I think the Holosun for pistols looks too bulky. I think I'll go with the trijicon.
The biggest issue with Bushnell is their warranty often times is worthless. I have sent many scopes back and they have sent them back broke without even touching them claiming they found no problems
Note I live near by their repair center so I took them back and at the store the employee looked it over and stated yes this is not working right this had to happen three times before they finally sent me a new scope
One other scope they refused to fix stating they didn’t make it yet I purchased it from them years before and the box states full lifetime warranty and they refuse to replace it when it failed. My $1,200 scope they did replace it when it stopped working
Anything electronic has no warranty basically

Now I do have other scopes that have had no issues with and none of these were dropped or abused just gave out after years of use and then trying to get them to repair or replace is a hassle.
i'm a grown man and Hop gives me the chills.. i think its the eyes.
So many reports of the including Bushnell optics breaking. OTOH, I'm still tempted to get the G3 TORO anyway and just put the Bushnell on one of my airguns for giggles. Get a good red dot later.

Hey Hop just wondering if this optics was like the trs-26 where you can turn off the auto shut off by turning it on hitting both button's at the same time wait a few seconds till you see the dot flash 3 or 4 times then the auto shut off is off same procedure to turn the feature back on
Picked one up and put it on my AK pistol, nice because I can co with my front sight.
