“Hopeful For Her Speedy Recovery” Princess Of Wales In Hospital After Undergoing Abdominal Surgery

- The monarchy has been hit by a double health scare with the Princess of Wales in hospital after abdominal surgery and the King facing treatment for an enlarged prostate.
Kate is expected to remain in hospital for 10 to 14 days and is set to be away from official duties for up to three months to give her time to recover.
The nature of the princess’s condition has not been revealed although Kensington Palace confirmed it was not cancerous.
It is serious enough, however, for the Prince of Wales to be stepping temporarily back from official duties while his wife is in hospital and in the immediate aftermath while she recuperates.
Buckingham Palace announced just an hour and a half after Kensington Palace’s shock news that Charles, 75, will be treated in hospital next week.
The Palace said Charles’s condition was benign and he would be having a corrective procedure.
His engagements will be postponed for a short period of recuperation.

@@KateWoodehouseBeing fit is very helpful in the recovery process as I have had several abdominal surgeries and because of my physical condition I did recover quicker than someone who has had no fitness your able to move and that is the key to speedy recovery.The most important thing is no infection from the surgery.I’m sure that they will take care of her. ❤🙏🇺🇸

This could also mean a Hysterectomy. Espec a complete hysterectomy is more serious and takes longer to heal. I had it yrs ago but wasn't in the hospital for 10 days to 2 wks. I couldn't work for 3 weeks. Yes I agree nowadays that's a lot for an abdominal surgery. I had 3 hernias, 1 was twisted very complicated procedure. I could walk after a couple of days. Work after 2 wks. Walk but no lifting, running, no streous activity. No vacuuming, that was hard to give up 😅😂
So whatever the reason which is private, this is something serious espec if she couldnt attend functions that she could avoid a lot of walking. Short walk then sit like at BAFTA Awards, Commonwealth Service etc the early year main events. So we lift Catherine up in prayers, best wishes for complete healing & speedy recovery. Absolutely William should be with her & the children. God Bless them all ❤.

Yes, there is precedent for a 'young' royal withdrawing for an extended period of time. Queen Victorua withdrew at the age of 42, the same age Princess Catherine is now, when Prince Albert, who was the same age as his wife, died. Queen Victoria relapsed into a deep depression and was out of the public eye, much to the consternation of her Prime Ministers and governments, for forty years. Let's hope Princess Catherine has a speedy recovery and recovers her good health and is back to work within that forty year time-frame!

I know someone who had suspicious ovarian cysts then underwent a full Hysterectomy and had an Oncologist on standby in case the cysts were cancerous. Thankfully they were benign. Because they cut fully into the abdominal wall, the hospital stay was about 4 days and the recovery was a full 8 weeks. I know we shouldn’t speculate, but I wonder if this situation is similar.

The Middletons are far from "young" at this point so it will be a great strain on them to "leap in" and help out. Fortunately they have enough money to hire aids to do this.
The phrase 'the Middletons' also includes the Princess of Wales' bother and sister and their spouses - all are younger than Catherine & William.

At least she did not have to go through the 3rd world nhs , where it is at least a 2 to 3 year waiting time , due to a backlog of millions . We pay our national insurance for nothing ., and if you can bot afford the sky high private insurance you are on a downward spiral .
