The enthusiasm that comes thru in your voice while doing this video is infectious and awesome. Keep up the great work.
Thank you.
Agreed. Love the enthusiasm and passion.
My favorite these days is a Dark/Willpower scrapper, where I have changed all the Dark attacks to various bright colors. It is like a concert scene with bright clouds of colorful smoke flying everywhere, and the endless energy from Willpower means I can just keep going without downtime. Plus Willpower resists psychic attacks, so I am the specialist against Madness Mages and that sort. (Brutes would be great too, but I've found that on teams my brutes are expected to tank, and that cramps my style.)
Oh, that sounds like fun seeing all those different colored smoke trails from your attacks.
Buddy, Masterminds. Just Masterminds. There's just a MOOD to just send your minions to do the dirty work for you. Each one just makes you feel like you're in control and don't HAVE to get your hands dirty, but are so dangerous that it's a nightmare when you do. I'm always caught between Robots and Zombies for my favourite. Who else has a favourite minion type?
For me, it depends now on what server I am playing on for what Mastermind I like. On Homecoming I like playing the robots and nacro. On Thunderspy I like playing the Demons and mercs. For all the others I like playing the beasts.
@@ControlledChaosGaming Does it really matter or is there differences depen ding on the server? I'm playing on Homecoming and is interested in eitehr demon or necro.
@@Tyrvana Yes it does I notice on Homecoming the pets work as originally designed. On Thunderspy they made it so that raged pets only do ranged attacks and melee pets only do melee attacks.
@@TyrvanaThunderspy has custom mastermind pets too. Huge dealbreaker that Homecoming lacks this.
its because of this channel i finally mad a mastermind. usually i play nothing but blasters, sentinels and dominators
I don't know if I should feel proud or sorry. I guess it really depends on how much of your life playing ,masterminds has taken over.
I just started playing a few months ago after a 15-year break. I enjoy defenders primarily and team support.
This past week I’ve been having a hilarious time with an elec/elec defender. Like your blaster build I can drain the baddies and enjoy watching them just standing there. The chain buffs/heals are visually a lot of fun to watch. Providing a resist shield for other squishies like me is great.
And having a big buff for a secondary effects? Oh how I love surprising con & dom teammates when I put their powers into overdrive, since usually it’s the damage dealers getting all the boosts.
Yeah, I love the shaking animation that happens with electric abilities on the target. Also it is always fun to surprise your teammates with nice buff that make them more powerful.
I really enjoy ranged types. Like blaster Corruptor War Shade and Peace Bringers. My main blaster power set is Ice /fire Ice for slow movement and fire for holds and AOE damage. Now i am trying to make a nice Corruptor using ether Fire /dark or Dark/Fire
Love my electric/electric blaster, great tanker as well. Wicked toon. The 1 thing I don't like with the MM is when I'm on a team. You're summoning away and trying to buff pets/group and there all halfway down the 2nd hall...
Yeah, it can be a bit hard playing an MM in a team.
Was that an Elecman costume in your first example? Also, Storm Blast/Storm Summoning on a Corruptor is just (chef's kiss)
yes, it was, that was the first character I ever made in CoH.
@@ControlledChaosGaming And as always, I felt legally obligated to make her look like Storm from the X-Men.
@@solblackguy LoL
@@ControlledChaosGaming My favorite thing to do when I make a character is fit them in the game's lore, but make alt costumes that make them look like characters from other media. I have a peacemaker who's story is a kheldian merged with a clockwork and they're basically The Vision. Most of their costumes are different variations of Vision throughout Marvel's history.
@@solblackguy Oh I am going to have to try making characters like that sometime. That is a cool way to come up with character ideas.
Thanks for another great video. I liked the diversity of chars you showed.
My main is an Earth/Pain controller and my favorite ATM is a Rad/Nature. Both are great fun, but the rad shines because she can solo.
Thank you, yeah life is so much easyer when you can solo easily.
Your 3, 4, and 5 picks are my favorites!
Those are actually my top three that I enjoy playing.
Spines/Fire Brutes are a BEAST! You absolutely destroy mobs of even high level VERY quickly.
Yes they do.
Your guides are helpful for someone just getting into CoH. I appreciate your work and information. I have been searching for things on sets and enhancements but I can't seem to find any good videos explaining them or which ones I should use for certain archtypes or powersets any chance you would be interested in doing a guide on that stuff?
Thanks and that is my goal is to help out new player. As for guides about archetypes and power sets. I do have my archetype guides, they do go over the different classes in the game. They cover how to best play the archetype, some of the powersets, and how to best use enhancements for them. I have even created an archetype playlist. So far it has all the archetypes from the main game and a few from city of villains. More are being added as I get them done.
Honestly, the one i'm having the most fun playing is a Savage/Fire Scrapper that i've dumped ALL the recharge enhancements into.
i just wanted to see what would happen if i went with a full recharge build, and i've never had so much fun with how fast i can attack.
That is a good build and I will have to try it with many recharges in it.
@@ControlledChaosGaming i'm also considering testing other builds based around quick recharge. one of the ones on the top of my list is claws, since they already have short cooldowns. just imagine constant instant attacks over and over.
@@ShackleYT That is a good idea and you might think about taking it to other AT's like Blasters or Corrupters.
Mind if I do a build video on your first concept of savagery, fire recharge build?
@@ControlledChaosGaming please do! i hope you enjoy the speed of your attacks! it works best as a scrapper or a brute i'd say.
I love Brute, Titan Weapon/ Electric. Espically higher up. The end drain ability and the heal really ramps up survivability. Then the giant weapons that knock back and lower def is just icing on the cake.
That is a cool build, I love electric for the end drain. personally, I am not much for knockbacks on my melee builds as I just feel like I am chasing the enemy.
Honestly, it doesn't happen a lot. Just enough to help when needed. A lot of the time, they just get knocked down, not back.
@@chickennachosupreme3195 that is good and usefull.
Tank. Dark/Stone. It stunned everything. With proper slotting you can manage the Endurance.
I will have to try that build out sounds interesting.
Gravity control is fun! Hitting an enemy with a tiffany's lampshade and killing them is always laughs especially a fiery demon!
Oh man, I love Gravity Control just for the throwing of objects at enemies.
Savage bio Brute is fun
I will have to try that type of Brute build out.
I don't like Stalkers too much, I made one a lot time ago but she felt very squish. Maybe she could get better if I improved her build, but I dindi't have the patiente for it.
I know that feeling I feel that way with Controllers. It was really hard for me to get the Controller guide video done.
Is that your regular voice? It sounds like you're whispering. lol
Thank you for letting me know about this. It is odd as went back through the video to make sure everything sound good and it seemed fine to me. I will have to fix that issue and pay more attention to the sound meter when recording.
@@ControlledChaosGaming I was just kidding a little. You may have an accent from some part of the US that I don't know. And since English isn't my mother tongue it's not an accent I'm very used to hearing.😅
Ah ok thanks for letting me know, and I am from the U.S. and from the state of Oregon.
@@ControlledChaosGamingThisb guy's volume/speaker is probably just messed up. I have no idea what he is talking about. You werent quiet at all and your voice was fine and normal. Probably his setup had some audio issue that caused lower volume or something.
@@nowayjosedaniel That could be the case for that view of the video. As no one else has said anything about an issue with the volume.
