Decided to give stalker another try and wound up with savage/energy Black Panther style hero. Kind of impressed with the assassination mechanic now that I understand how the AOE fear works. The cone attack is surprisingly useful and overall isn't as rigid as the dual blade I tried before. I might make him a main, but I have an idea for an ice melee stalker I want to try once I figure out the costume and aesthetic I want to go with.

Considering City of Heroes started initially as a marvel game, there has to be a shield throw animation in the code.

Cake new Dawn has a shield AT where you can actually throw the shield,worth checkin out.

So far the people that I have spoken with have all said that Empyrion Galactic Survival was "No Man's Sky" before no man's sky was and, EGS was the better game. It had multiplayer way before NMS did. Better ship building as well.

Great. Another generic game with retina-scorching graphics. Smash rock, turn rock into laser beam so you can burn next rock. "More fun" for who? That's the problem with games. You can't change things to make it more fun for the fans because not all fans want the same thing. Make a plan, stick with the plan. Those who like it will like it, those who don't won't. Trying to make a game that pleases everyone will end up pleasing nobody. Unless you split it up with DLC so people can take the bits they want and leave the others. But then you'll make everybody mad because you're just a "greedy developer selling stuff that should have been in the basegame."

feels like they took everquest landmark, dusted it off and trying to expand on it. landmark was a dumpster fire. i dont expect much of it.

I don't see this "Star Reach" being much of a challenge to No Man's Sky.

I keep trying to make stalkers but the builds I make turn out to be better as scrappers. Maybe the archetype isn't for me since it's the only one I haven't had success with. The closest thing I have is a dual-blade/darkness scrapper with all the concealment abilities and teleport travel power. I teleport into an area and open up with the fear AOE and combat teleport to different targets. He's basically an archeologist that found the tomb of a "bandit Pharaoh" so amused to have someone rob his grave that he bestowed his powers on him. I roleplay him against the circle of thorns and other magical themed enemies.

electric blast is a very fun power set for blasters and corruptors. i have had people tell me to us electric blast on corruptors i guess cause they can do more end drain and damage with scourge also corruptors electric secondary gets the galvatronic sent which i think is the same as the voltic sent. you forgot to talk thunderous blast is the best end drain power

Where's the love for Teleport? Fastest travel power. Lets you move past mobs you want to avoid (or, you know, Lady Jane). Lets you move through small spaces: if you can see something you can teleport there. You can teleport round corners by just changing your camera angle. Even ignoring the other powers in the set it's the only way to travel (and don't forget you can take powers from Multiple Travel Power Pools). Also Superspeed: takes some getting used to but comes with stealth. That's worth having.

I love fire/rad trollers and storm/electric def and sonic/power blaster.

So which is the best server is it thunderspy or rebirth or homecoming? Which is most active?

Destroying it is infinitely worse than demanding tribute since you only get a message saying you got a big reward and nothing else

Hey, I know this is a year old but I wanna jump in...I'll ask you the same question as the rest: which server would you recommend? I'd love a server that allows me tk create an ice elemental hero with tons of customisation and jump into a very social world in which I'll eventually start teaming up with people, talking to them in English and doing dungeons or raids.

Day Jobs are pretty cool.

I tried elec/elec blaster but found defender more fun. Being able to short circuit a bunch of mobs at once until they couldn't do anything while bouncing buffs and heals off my pets made missions and farming a breeze. Stamina intensive archetypes like storm/storm corrupters loved me too because I was a battery for them. Wound up funding my more expensive builds like my street justice/fire brute which is an influence sink.

All well and good. Gonna take missions from outlaw station instead. Feel like it's like mordite. Hate killing animals who don't attack. Same with freighter. I.D.K, feel like it's wrong for me. Maybe later on when I don't care anymore. Anyway got my S class sentinel ship upgraded from A class. The hyperdrive compared to traditional starship is 8x better and the weapons damage is at least 4x better. Gonna work on getting a living ship now besides getting a better freighter capital ship than the current B class that I have. Having a hard time negotiating saving civilian fleet from attacking capital ship while missiles are being fired at said fleet. Not enough experience and or firepower yet.

I liked the idea of We Have Cake, (now New Dawn) because of all the character customization, but for the life of me can't understand why there's no way to create an account that I could find. The home page gives a link, but the link is dead. So, after several failed attempts at trying other servers, I stuck with Homecoming because it's never failed me..., yet.

NCSoft is basically England, The Stone of Scorn is City of Heroes and the fans are Scotland. England just wants to hold onto the Stone just because.

I'm glad Homecoming exists now. It's the only official licensed CoH server out there right now, and I think they do it service to a degree. I'm always on Reunion and I'm not hard to find. I'm always playing the Mervel Comics inspired heroes and villains.

I believe the <B> key will put you in 1st-person view, and to return to 3rd person, just hit the <B> key again.

Here's a neat one: <Ctrl> left click a fast power like Mutagen or Brawl, and as long as a targeted enemy is within range, it will autofire at that enemy.

I see a LOT of players hitting enemies with damage over time or stun attacks and they'll continue to attack that same enemy until they drop. Meanwhile, other enemies are beating on their toon and the player is just ignoring them. Here's the trick, as soon as you give an enemy a Condition, hit the <Tab> key to switch to the nearest enemy to your crosshair and attack them next. Just wash, rinse, repeat until all enemies lay broken at your feet.

Looks like an f zero car. Ome of my fav looking machines. Trying to mid max the thing rn. Currently rest with 24k dmg. I did sacrafise a lil bit of soeed so it rests at 1400 maneuver. But does have 1000+ hyperdrive distance.

Another good reason to try Rebirth... The Keld revamp. Kelds play VERY differently on Rebirth do to the changes. You arent slaved to picking and choosing what powers get slots as some of the powers are shared thru forms now. So slotting carries over. And as a warshade player, the added gravity mechanics really add fome more fun to the achetype.

Can I change my ships colour? Why is that so hard to find out about. I guess you can't, that's dumb.
