Thanks for this. These are all fine strategies, but kinda basic, and frankly they enable a playstyle that is interminably slow and, in my opinion, unfun. It's always good to control your number of targets, as you explain, but if you build to cap ranged defense and S/L Resistance, and then take Combat Jumping + Superspeed and use a Celerity +Stealth IO in Sprint, you can solo purple mobs, as long as you have a little room to run around. In my experience, that is more fun. It's a little riskier, for sure, but not much, and you kill so much more so much faster. Keep up the good work!

I will be doing a more aggressive version like you are talking about. I wanted to do this one first as it is something early players can do with out having to get certain pool powers.

He is giving tips for fragile toons, and demonstrating them on a fairly low level blaster on cheap SOs which is a good use case for these tactics.
I have IOed out high lvl squishies with good defence and I expect that Chaos does too, and you're right at that point these tactics are a waste of time, but they are not fragile toons any more, and are not the target audience.
