I loved this game so much. I never play MMOs and I played the hell out of this game back in the day. I would join up with random people or join groups for special battles. I joined up with a total stranger so that they could help me get my cape. Strangers would just run up on me and drop a bunch of stuff for me to have. I'm about as anti-social as it gets but when I was in this game, it was the exact opposite. I've tried other MMOs but I just couldn't do it. No other game like it. I still have my Prima game guide.
yeah, that is what I love about the CoH community is how helpful and friendly they are. The cool thing is it is still that way on the private servers.

Omg i LOVED this game! It had the BEST community ever! No bs with groups kicking you because you didnt have your character specced/armored up to run the raid. Everyone knew you had to carry someone for a bit so they could be of help later, and help you later they did!

If you’re playing on Rebirth server, make sure you check enhancements origin before selling. Matching origin type to the store will get you better influence value. Sell mutant enhancements at mutant store, science at science store. It may not be a lot; but by end game it’s huge difference. ;-)

That's good to know, it should sound even better in my next video coming out in 8 hours as I got a boom arm to get the mic closer to me. When I listen to the recording I could hear the improvements. But you let me know when you hear it as I am to close the the project's to be objective.
I originally played shortly after the launch of City of Villians. And played no other game till 2009 I believe. And haven't played any other PC games since. I know it's an dated game but I really want to play. The question I beg to ask now is. What PC set up would anyone recommend to run the game at max fidelity ( ultra setting ). I remember it really taxed my early 2000's build... 😢. Lay it on me!
You could get away with playing on the best graphics settings on any computer that is at least 10 years old.
So how do you move and change direction? Apparently STOR and WoW Neither does DCUO or ESOs. So how the heck do just move around the map???
On the right of the map when you open it up is a slider. When you slide it down it zooms in, and when you are zoomed in you can put your pointer on the map then click and hold wail moving the mouse around will move the map around.
Looking into getting a PC soon. What server are you using?
I play on three servers. Thunderspy for the pet customization, Homecoming for the bug fixes such as the mastermind pet bug fix, and Rebirth for not moving powers around of changing enhancements, plus they will be adding a lot more costume options soon.

@@bobbyjones-uv5cn Each of these have been around for atlest 2 years. Homecomming is the oldest of them all being around privatly for over 10 years.
what about earning in game money i have a level 40 ice/fire blaster. I dont have any enhancements at all I dont know how to get money and where to get the best enhancements . sadly ive never been good at making a good character costume and a good character power set build
Money in the game is called influence it is given to you in multiple ways. By taking out enemies, interacting with some objects, and completing missions. You can also get influence by selling enhancements, salvage, and recipes. As for enhancements by lvl 40 you should be overflowing with enhancements as they drop off of defeated enemies and some missions give them as rewards.
is their a special server or could i just download the game
Some servers have their own launchers. But most servers use one of their launchers where you put in the manifest for the server you want to play on.

Yes, thousands of people still play this, in fact, there are a couple of servers that are quite populated and sometimes overflowing with players.
