Dark is excellent on a stalker. Theft of Essence: Chance for +Endurance fills your endurance bar when dark regen is used. I also put my chance for crit in there. It is phenomenal. I love my Psi/Dark/Soul stalker
Always played the warrior in MMOs, a monk in EverQuest and my first character in City of Heroes was a Scrapper. So when City of Villains had its beta, I fell in love with the stalker. CoV was one of the very few MMOs who still held onto the perma-stealth concept where as others like ESO and GW2 only has you total invis for a few seconds.
Loved the balance of super reflexes too and while it came at a price, my kat/SR could tank so long as Elude was up.

Can you explain why Energy Melee isn't as good in PvP anymore? There's "counters" to it? Like it's Stuns and Knock backs? But the damage in PvP is still sick/top tier isn't it? Or am I wrong??

Because of the current meta, anything that isn’t Psi melee in PvP is at a disadvantage. Also melee is not in a great place. If you’re going EM keep in mind that more sets have def or res to energy now than they did on live.

I think that depends on your overall build. If you’re able to share your build from pines I’d be happy to take a look.
They nerfed Energy Transfer and unless I’m mistaken, Homecoming didn’t revert it. Which is really what made EM so brutal.

I recently fell in LOVE with Stalkers, and the two that I've spent the most INF and time on are my Kinetic/Invulnerability and Electric/Shield. Both are fun in similar, but vastly differing ways!
Shield bugged me tbh, I felt like it’s equivalent power that is similar to RTTC doesn’t have a big enough impact. And Shield Charge just feels like it is on such a long CD. Granted my X/ShieldD is a Brute but he’s decked in IOs
Anthony Tyger Kinetic is just all around fun. You get a PBAoE, a ranged attack, and a big smasher on top of a hardouken of an Assassin’s Strike. My KM/Nin was glorious.

At The Worktable you need to goto City of Heroes Homecoming forums and follow the links. Essentially you use a sort of bootlegged launcher that acquired the assets and everything.

You can use Katana or Claws. I think that they have some of the best costume pieces in game. But Street Justice is higher for Pylon damage as I understand. Anything would be fine in PvE tho.
Katana still does wonders. Claws loses its bread and butter PBAoE and if you can manage your endurance, Kinetic Melee is beautiful.
Also, STJ’s combo feature really made it shine even in fights with heavily physical resistance. It’s all about how you spec though, ToHit buffs and better accuracy will see you win fights in just about every bit of content but Incarnate Trials because those things are gnarly
