I think you guys should look into the Seismic Focus 97A wheels perhaps. Downside is definitely that these are freestyle wheels, so realistically your mileage may vary for tricks. But at least those wheels _can_ slide around, as that's common in the freestyle tricks too. Just not on ledges or rails lol.
I have a set a of Clouds in 78a, 56mm and these absolutely blow me away. I swear they are every bit as fast, if not faster than my STFs with the exception that I can ride the clouds on a much wider variety of surfaces. It seems to defy logic but these wheels really are fast, smooth and comfortable. I am going to try some 92a clouds next to allow for some slide on skatelite surfaces.

I got the 78a and they are my favorite wheel now. I don't think I am ever going to switch wheels again. I am in love. The streets here are so bad that I could not even skate on a 99a. I barely notice them with the clouds. I have heard some skaters complain that they don't like soft wheels for flip tricks, but I don't notice a difference. I love these wheels.
@@Strashky for anyone reading in the future, go with 56mm. 56 is the max you should buy if you want to be doing tricks etc. If you primarily want to cruise and you don't care, you can start buying bigger wheels and can use riser pads if necessary.

Soft wheels can also be a style thing, I like soft wheels for impact and shuvit to shifties or nocomply shifties. I don't know why hard wheels took off after the 80's cause back in my day a softer wheel was a nobrainer .
I agree dude if ricta made the slix version in a softer wheel version itd be sick....with the slix u dont have to think about grinding or worry about sticking....i bought spitfire wheels after experiencing the slix before this deck setup and i would go to try a bs smith ,bs suski or bs salad and i couldnt quite get em like i used to dude it was like learning how to walk again but with uncomfortable shoes plus if i hadnt bought the slix i wouldnt had tried to learn those tricks in the first place ;) good looks on the video though
Always been a bines guy. Recently started riding spitfire formula 4 because all the skaters and videos out there seem to promote them. To be honest I felt I locked in better with the bones. But maybe it is just in my head. Did you stick with Ricta or did you go back to bones. Crazy to watch this older video and see Riot skatepark in it after I just randomly skated it while traveling in that area.

I've been riding 54mm 92a Rictas for the last three months. Definitely suits my needs - rough ground but still wanting to do tricks. I've completely avoided reverts and power slides - so don't know what would happen if you did that. Great on smooth outdoor parks too. I recently swapped them out for three different types of harder wheels: 99a Rictas, 83b Fast Skateboard Wheel Company and 83b Wreck wheels - just to see if harder wheels were better for me. Definitely not - much prefer the 92a Rictas - faster, smoother ride, quieter, much better on rougher ground. Saves me knees too. So, basically they work for me under those conditions.

78a durometer is typical of longboards cruiser wheels. Won't 78a street wheels ware out faster in power sliding due to being soft ? Any recommendations for longboard sliding ?

Alix Croll Don't know if this is too late or not but 78a are bouncy, try get 86a or 92a, they will be better for flatground tricks and still smooth to ride on rough street.
Patt Kosit I ended up getting the 78as after all, they're a big improvement (I can actually get some momentum now on most streets) but I get what you mean about them being bouncy 😩 they'll do for now though, I'll just switch to hard wheels when I get to the park x
I skate on spitfire bigheads. There 54mm and 99a. I live where my roads are kind ruff and i would like to cruise and do tricks and even powerslide. My feet rumble to where its annoying and bothersome. Im not sure if i should skate get these wheels or more to get use to the rumble
PhantHam you know spitfire makes soft wheels right? Don't get these they suck I have them and I dont use them because they are garbage, get some o.j. keyframes or some bones ATF formula, trust me I have tried a lot of wheels and Rictas are the worst ones I've tried so far.
Just setup a board with Ricta clouds myself. Unsure how it will work. I usually skate pavement outdoors. The hard wheels are a no-go, too much slippage. But small wheels give control as well. We'll see.

Ed Garnham the plain Jains are very good I have them on my board right now only con I can find is they cone really quick so you will have to rotate them more often but other than that they are perfect the streets where I live are shit and I roll smoothly and fast with these wheels

I got the 92a and they are garbage I flatspotted all fpur wheels in one powerslide on concrete not asphalt and they are so fucking slow it's insane, I have some 80a bones that are fast as hell and smooth but these clouds are the worst wheels I have ever ridden hands down at least the 92a are.
Michael Adelaja I keep putting them back on my board and trying them but I take them off after 10 min every time and put my formula 4s back on, it just totally killed it for me when I flatspotted them right after I put them on and now they vibrate all weird when I ride it sucks because it was my first experience with Ricta and I'm scared to try any of their other wheels.

Should have got bones ATF, these will flatspot and are really slow compared to other soft wheels like the OJ mini juice or the bones ATF.
Thats true the homie used 86a wheels while used ricta slix 99a and he could cruise down the street a tad more comfortably than i did
