I've been riding .. what 53 , 54 for those 4-5 years I was skating between 12-17. I remember using spitfires but, I hated the dirty yellow color of it. And I remember borrowing a deck from a '' Pro '' at a park who had same size wheels as me but had bones, completely white and very slim and I remember it felt so easier to flip the board. Until now at 22 I now know that there's a width to wheels at skateboarding aswell.

something i noticed when going back and fort between wide and skinny wheels is that in order to be able to go from 7.5 up to 9 inch boards without having to fight getting back any lock-in and pinch type of trick all i have to do is sacrifice making the board heavier to keep the same grind clearance in my trucks, in other words, big boards use wide wheels and skinny boards use skinny wheels, unless i am feeling like wanting to flip absolutelly every gap, then i put skinny wheels on wide boards to get board stability and the easy flip.

Love the tag on the one transition from the first bit. Great to see some good street spots loved the direction of this video well done. My only gripe would be that i would have liked to see you compare the shapes between the brands instead of crossbrand either way it’s always good to get Vancouver skater content. Ronnie Creager i can throw a bit about spits f4 and bones stf spf. spits 99a have no grip on wood, while spf 104a stick like glue in comparsion, i use borh in diff set up’s. All types of ramps, bowls etc, 56 spf 104a 84b bones are the good ones, on stree ledges and tricks 52 f4 radial slim 99a and concrette skateparks bowls etc, 56 f4 conical full 99a. 🤘🤘

This is perfect cause I just switched to a wider set spitfire f1's are my favorite wheel I now ride oj's they seem to be alot better for more street style skating but they're pretty slick on smoother surfaces but I don't mind that since I mostly skate street anyway

  • @kristopherstegavik3741

Video was dope actually experienced this problem just now i got some figgy oj’s elite formula 101 a 54 mm and rode emm for a week on 144’s thought the same thing that it felt like a 139 on my ledge tricks switched emm out the other day for my spitfire tablets. Ill use the oj’s on a set of 169’s

52mm 101d, Radial slims. Skinny and square. Best of both worlds in flatground and locking in on coping. Don't have to worry about wheelbite with a medium/loose setup.

i’ve been skating bones v3s for like 3 months. and i got them a lot harder. i definitely noticed the weight difference and the ability to power slide or revert was wayyyyy better, made it much easier. pairing them with indy hollows and i was light as a feather

@zowee dude is it true that bones 99a has a plastic ride feel? ive tried most of the known brand except for bones hardline due to that feedback ive heard

@@jayteecollins1279I ride one board with bones v6 99a in 56mm and one with bones v2 103a 52mm, mostly at home in my concrete miniramp since I live quite rural, the 103a slides out easier than the 99a and if anything they are the ones to have a plastic feel, the 99a is what I prefer, grips when you need to and slides when you want to and feel harder and rolls better yet smoother than cheaper "off brand" 100s and 101a.

I've been watching so many videos on all the types of wheels to use for skate parks, looking for slight grip and enough to slide.. Agh!!
What are some of your recommendations?

You should review a MADNESS deck, they make (what looks like) really high quality decks with crazy unique graphics and also have a composite ply, not sure if they’re worth $60 though
