Homie bombed a hill with 3 wheels just to show us the wheels he was using
Dude 💀💀
Fuckin hell this shouldn’t have got me the way it did
😆
Lol dude
I love this type of humor 😂
These wheels are perfect when you need to go a mile or two to get somewhere and want to be comfortable on rough roads, but at the same time, want to be able to do tricks. They’re also good for filming.
It’s cuz there cruiser wheels u ain’t supposed to do tricks
So these wheels is okay to learn tricks? Like Ollie, Kickflip and Shove it?
@@faiz7180 Yes, just not power slides, reverts, etc… nice they’re really grippy.
@@jadonweissmann2153 I know your comment is 2 years old, but I just wanna clear some stuff up for viewers tuning into this video nowadays.
Cruiser wheels are indeed made for tricks, especially ones around this size. How else are you gonna ollie over a curb while cruising through the city? I should note that wheels this soft aren't made for some specific tricks like reverts (depends on if you let the wheels touch and slide on the ground while doing it, not much of a problem if your reverts are in the air) and powerslides, they will absolutely throw you and damage the wheels. Now, once you go over 60+ mm in size, they start becoming longboard wheels. Those are not recommended at all for tricks, unless you're doing longboard dancing stuff or something, but that's a completely different can of worms.
"Not a cloud in the sky, just in my hands." Epic. :)
I bought these wheels and they are the best wheels I’ve got
Do they still feel good with tricks?
Theman Dane yes they feel great with tricks 👍🏻
Question are they extremely loud
Ashleplays 1 i ride clouds, they sound the same as any other wheel really.
Are they bouncier than normal wheels?
I got the 78a 56mm and it’s so amazing at rough ground, I skated over really rough ground with pebbles everywhere and it rode perfectly fine. I also went over tree leaves and it still was ok
Is it ok for tricks? Sliding?
@@khoaidol I can do kickflips and other stuff just it is more difficult , But they are very grippy and you might just rip a chunk of your wheels if you powerslide with a 78a. I would recommend if you want to do tricks you should get a slightly harder wheel, like 86a or 92a
@@ryd.wav27 thanks mate. I will go with 86a
@@khoaidol but I still wouldn’t really recommend powerslides because the wheel might just go bye bye if you try to power slide of rougher ground
I got the 78a and I never knew skateboard wheels could feel so good to ride. The roads by me are a nightmare. I had 99a on before and I could not even skate because the streets were so bad. I legit don't even notice it riding the 78a clouds. They don't mess you up on flip tricks either. They are the best set of wheels I have ever owned. I cant overstate how good these wheels feel when you skate them. Well done Ricta you guys nailed it!
If you hit small rocks do you go flying or is it like a longboard / cruiser wheel and just rides over no problem? Thanks
@@kirangill0 I don’t know the size of the op’s wheels but I’ve got 78a 60mm and they ride literally over everything.
@@darkwriter_xx94 ty
ok u sold me on the wheels. Time to ordef 😂
ikr, yesterday i was riding and there was no other way to go besides this little drop down that went onto dirt for like 5 seconds and these wheels just rode straight through it like it was nothing haha
Dude! Ron Whaley! Been forever 🔥
This is hella comprehensive! Cool, thanks 🤙🏽👍🏽
great video! you answer all the right questions! thanks!
Just got 54mm 78a clouds and they are awesome!!! I don't know why I didn't have them years ago.
Is it okay to learn tricks like ollie, kickflip and shove it with the 54mm 78a?
@@faiz7180 when it comes to tricks, you can use virtually any wheel type from 50-55mm. you can do an ollie on 60mm but takes more effort. The softness of the wheels do allow you to give a nice push and ride for longer, which does help with doing tricks on the road while riding.
The best thing about the 78a wheels is that when you're on the street, you have a smooth ride which can make you ride longer with each push. Better than 98a wheels that go slow on a street, and makes you push more often.
Are they silent?
@@damargis They aren't as quiet as longboard wheels, but not nearly as loud as 98a wheels.
They do work. I'm really impressed with mine.
Best ad I’ve ever seen to be honest
got these yesterday and tried them out, i found that these held the speed for a much longer duration compared to my old ones and regret not getting them before !
just ordered a set, bless up🙏
this video was very helpful thankyou!
I skate everywhere on park rated wheels and just got 54 clouds because the older I've gotten it just feels like I make more noise and wanna cut that down plus everything I skate is haggard. Looking forward to putting them to the test
I loved these wheels. I got them back in 2010 out of the ccs local shop in GA. Paid like 29 for them I believe. Immediately slapped them on hit an indoor skate park 2 hours into my session hit a kicker when I landed the wheel completely split in half. lol
Really?
Man, now I want these
Just bought wheels today that weren’t these and I am now regretting that decision
Thank you so much I’m probably going to get some
Got the 92a 54mm the other day these wheels are legit the best all round wheels super good feel on my terrible ankles lol
I got an ad for shark wheels before this vid but anyways, I am gonna get the ricta chrome clouds but I can't decide between red and blue for the core
very helpful, thanks!
0:44 Yeah that def feels like the streets where i live, thanks for the review 🤘
anyone have any idea what size the hubs are with bearings in? like the depth from one end of a bearing to the other? anyone know if the 78a 52-56mm will work on quad roller skates?
Been riding the chrome clouds 78a 56mm for 2 months and they're faster than any hard wheel even on super smooth skateparks! Eveyone notices and ask "what kind of bearings you using"? Its the wheels man! You could have bearings called Dog Turds and still fly🐩💩
what bearings do you use tho?
@@niansxsa I think a brand called Dog Turds
@@winnermindset4960😆😆
So ima buy these but I can’t decide if I should buy the ones with chrome/silver cores or the blue cores
i ordered cored clouds 86a 54mm when i heard it’s good for rough environment like in my area. i can’t wait to use it!
How they feel? Bout to order some spitfire/orbs/ and those
Pls update
honestly guys i recommend that you buy too. it works as it’s intended. it’s really silent for cruising, and you can do tricks too. it’s the perfect wheels for me
Anybody know what the effect of the different cores that Ricta uses on their wheels? I've seen the speed ring, the cores, and the chrome cores. I was wondering what effect those cores have if any.
Great video 😀
I currently use use 60mm 83a Alva cruiser wheels. It feels more like a 78a or below. I tried many wheels, too many to list. I'm a heavy rider and tried a few variations of 60mm wheels but I had to go ultra soft. The ground here is textured (I'm assuming because of the winters here) and I can't 'lighten' myself for cracks or rocks (need muscle tone and lose weight) which means the wheel is going to be doing way more work than it would be for someone else. So, for down pressure, size if typical cracks and rocks and texture we have here, the slow gummy type wheels work for me until I can lower my weight and up the duro.
hi pretty cool vid! what wheel would you recommend for U ramp/vert ? would these soft wheels still be ok? (no tricks stuff just going up and down in a big vert)
i use the ricta cloud reds and i love fuckin around and cruising in bowls
Everybody rode ricta when i skated back in the day. And royal trucks lol
Very nice video. The rolls look very good. ´But one question: I need new rolls for my skateboard, and I skate at the skatepark and cruise with my friends on the streets. So which rolls should i take? Im thinking of 56mm, but how soft?
Wheels ?
Just ordered some 56mm 86a ! Can’t wait to slap em on my board !
how are they? have you tried them out yet?
i am not sure between 78a and 86a
@@felixstephanmusic I like the 86 they go over really rough roads easy and pebbles and rocks are nothing for them !
Can you do one of 60mm 78a?
Can you please help me, i baught ricta chrome clouds and they are amazing but i cant get the bearings out cos of the firm bit in the middle, and no i don't have any bearing removers
Very good explanation
So my 5 yr old is getting g into skateboarding. Keen to compile him a nice set up rather than just buy a complete. Figured a soft wheel would be good. Thoughts? Clouds 78A? 56 maybe? Thanks
i bite my wheel
Well I've been looking for air cores. I haven't skated in about 8 years now and I'm just getting back into it and those were my favorite wheels. But they don't make them anymore or at least I can't find them. I was considering these but not sure still. Going to have to hit the fun factory an ask I guess.
are you beeing able to ride on those wheels in parks and so on? and does the 78As have a big diffrence compared to regular street wheel(100+A) please asnwer
yes you can’t slide think of it like eraser material great for about everything else tho
I would say skating a park feels too sticky with a 78A. And nose/tailslides are almost impossible with such soft wheels. I prefer a hard wheel for parks. But you might enjoy a 92A if you're gonna skate park quite a bit. And yes, they feel very different compared to a 100A, riding on street ground feels so much smoother. Even rough ground is no problem.
The 86a 55mm Clouds FREAKING RULE!!! sooooo buttery smooth, and it just keeps going on all surfaces- and no problem for doing flatground- skates great. I love it! Definitely interested in getting the chrome core version at some point! Q: you said that the chromecore makes the wheel feel a bit more firm, does it also make the wheel a little lighter?
How's doing basic tricks on them? I have the 78a and they're pretty bouncy so i find ollies a little more difficult than on hard wheels?
@@JJ-el6qx same bro when I bought them I didn’t know shit about wheels . They are super fast comfy my Ollie are good but I can’t heel flip anymore and can’t learn any tricks, power slide are impossible and fs and bs are really difficult. But I still want to ride with ricta, next time I think I’m going to buy 54 or 52 92a wheels from ricta. But rn my experience is really bad
@@fahim7465 yeah i think going for a slightly harder wheel would be best. I wanted them for cruising originally so i got the 78a for a smoother rider but now I'm seeing that people have no problem with the 92s so i might look into that too. Cuz normally i ride 99a.(in a different brand) Powerslides are definitely harder in these, i haven't tried them myself on these wheels but I've seen plenty of comments stating so.
Do your feet feel nice when using them
@@notyouraverage1saiah660 like does it prevent vibrations you mean? Yeah it's not bad, i ride it on regular street and it feels ok, but once you get on badly paved really bumpy streets you definitely still feel it.
Going to get new Ricta clouds , I mainly use my board for cruising and little bits at parks , would you recommend 78a or 86a?
86a
I use 53mm 86a mainly for cruising and some ollies. If you're going to skate parks a bit I'd definitely go with 86a since 78a might feel too sticky in a park.
i liked his oj wheels reviews
good video
I bought the muska ones loved em except after a summer of skating the wheel would slide over the bearing
SOLD ☁️⚡️✔️
So I got the 56mm 92a Chrome Clouds and they are absolutely fantastic for the roads and sidewalks around my town. They have a nice carve to slide ratio that is great for grippy turns and perfect for smoother slides at a good speed. They just glide like butter. Absolutely love these wheels and highly recommend them for new riders and old ones like me. I'm 45 now and not looking to do stair sets anymore but i just cruise and flat ground tricks now but it's all I need and I so grateful to be riding now. Thank you for sharing your perspective on these wheels. I just wish i could have gotten the one I did with the blue center over the silver for the build i wanted.
If anyone is looking for a true "hybrid" wheel i can really recommend the 92a clouds (i got the old version, but im sure the ones with cores ride the same)
I can even get some emergency powerslides in on these and flips dont feel as weird as on the softer ones
I’m taking your word for it and buying the 92a
aaron names ??
@@jaycekastner4340 hes asking u how U been liking them my man
aaron names i couldn’t find them and ended up getting oj 92a but I love the 92a and they are prolly the same.
Hi is for anyone 92a clouds slow on grinds? Traction feels while grinding?
What would you say is better Ricta Clouds, OJ, or sector 9 balls
I wonder if I can put them on my quads
Something much people don’t ask is, how does nose/tail slide 86A clouds feel? 🤔🤔
Do they slide well or does it take a bit of effort and more wax to slide good?
I'd say nose/tailslides are almost unbearable. Maybe not impossible but they definitely need tons of wax. Would not reccoment for slide tricks.
Looking for these but not available anywhere.
1:12 wtf I didn't know they even made wheels that big
Yup longboard wheels i think
Bruh...what underground skatepark you been hiding in..?
They got 90mm and even 100mm wheels for boards...
@@BendApparatus I'm from Mexico bro, they're not common here unless they're off road wheels
@@BBdandarkness well yes, the 100mm are for all terrain (not quite off-road) the 90mm are standard size for electric longboard.
As far as for a true skateboard...I don't think anything above 58mm qualify for "street skating" more for cruisers...
This was such a cool way to shoot a vid
💜🇺🇸😎
Are these quiet on rough roads?
I cant find a transition video for these
Do you use risers for the 56mm? Considering some because the streets in my town are shit but don't want wheelbite lol
Yes for 56mm definitely risers needed 1/8 or 1/4 depending on how you feel about being higher balance stuff
Im using 1/4 for 54-56mm wheels
Its not necessary but i would highly recommend it. I skated the 56mm clouds 78a without risers and it did bite a little bit. I put some 1/8 risers and it feels great. Its all up to you but i would put risers on them for shit roads lol.
Cactus Jack ended up getting 1/8 and it’s running smoothly so far:)
E.N. Glad to hear it helped.
I love these wheels...The only problem I have with them is that one of my wheels came off of the core....These wheels are not meant to be taking very sharp corners at high speeds...But as far as cruising...Great Wheels..
... .... ... ... ..
actually they are meant for just that. these ones in particular the chromes are being used to try and beat the 100mph longboard speed record. thats a terrifying defect
I'm really looking into skateboarding and I'm a beginner. Would you recommend these to beginners?
im a beginner too so from what i've been seeing they're pretty good
Yes 92a good hybrid between two opposite worlds
Bro rly snatched a wheel from the board just to show how good they lookin 😭
Just picked the silver chrome clouds @ my local skate shop
They’re great
need to know if they work for heavy set people
I need some wheels with resistant cores but that are soft, does anyone know about one?
Was this filmed near lighthouse Santa cruz ca? Lol
Is Ricta still in business? It´s no longer possible to get a hold of Ricta Clouds here in Norway. :-(
yeah rictas still going but as they are an american based company like most popular skate companies they have been hit pretty hard by the covid shut downs especially in california where they are house. cali is one of the strictect most fascistly closed down states in america right now
i got the 52 mm and I've to change them in the 56 mm. Do I need a riser? (I already have a 3mm riser on)
Probably not
My clouds are coming in today. I ordered the 56mm 92a.
how are they on rough ground?
@@taylor3878 they're pretty good for rough ground. I got the 92a because of the variance of the streets around here. I had some spitfire 101a and those were like being electrocuted on rough ground.
Which cloud is the best compromise for commuting on rough alsphat, but can slide easy...
92a
86a to me. the ricta cloud reds feel like you are riding on basically nothing when combined with suspension trucks and have no trouble sliding even at slow speeds
Sdo you recommend the 54 or 56mm in this case
What’s best for skating street
52-53mm 101a
Would i need risers if i get the 56mm chrome clouds 78a?
Yeah probably just like 1/4 inch risers you should be good
charmander for sure just tested out some 1/8 risers for the 56mm and it worked out well. Thanks
it depends on if you have low medium or high profile trucks honestly
I skated as a kid , never serious I could olly and sometimes kick flip lol 🤣 I'm now 40 years old and really what the hell am I thinking about buying a board . ? I dunno midlife crisis anyone? Hahahaha anyways I really want a longboard and some big ole juicy wheels with some really good bearings to go cruise . When I was young I had some super hard spitfire wheels hardboiled eggs I think ? And some B-52 I believe they were for general cruising and I miss those wheels . All these years later I bet I will be shocked with how nice a ride one could get.
What's the difference between the chrome ones and the regular ones?
idk but my guess is the chrome one is lighter because it have chrome center
What are the biggest, widest, softest wheels for a standard (well 7.75) skateboard. My neighborhood roads are ultra rough. I currently ride spitfire 80hd. But I really want something to ride through my neighborhood with my daughter. Something that takes little effort to just ride. Also without looking ridiculous like longboard wheels.
Hi longboard looking wheels starting around 40mm width
But the wider wheels you get the smoother and faster you ride through rough surfaces. Same with size of wheels
Little effort riding in your case is buying longboard wheels 68-75mm 78-80a. Ricta has 73mm Wester Storm Clouds 78a for example
Im riding 75mm wheels with 2 1/4 risers with standard street boards. Also its possible with 1/4 risers
@@acgwestsidesb6410 I just found some Ricta Clouds that 60mm and bought them. I think they're discontinued so I really wanted them. Only 5 sets left.
I’ll be featured someday

Ye
would these fit bones red bearings?
Yes, all wheels should fit any bearings-they’re universally sized. Now go skate!
Would you recommend this wheels for peppled village streets?
yeah, i was surprised when i bought these (same size and duro, not chrome) becuase i wasn’t losing speed like on a 100a wheel.
Bought these. They are perfect for our streets. This is going to be a long relationship. Thx Ricta
What hardness did you guys get? Any cons to them? Thanks
@@chef0335 78a would be ideal for cruising, 92a more for skateparks and smoother terrain anything in the middle would be a hyrbid of those 2, 78a wheels allow for roughed terrain riding but aren't that great for tricks, and vice versa for 92a
NotDirk thanks!
Can you slide with these and do ollies and shuv its? Thank u
Generally with softer wheels you're going to have a harder time sliding, they're just more grippy. You're going to want to kick turn rather than revert. You can still trick for sure though.
Might consider getting something closer to 86a though, a bit of a better compromise, unless your roads are really rough!
@@kais2345 okay thank u so much☺ the ohio roads are pretty crappy lol😆
yes you can. clouds are a pretty nice special formula that allow for good proper slides while still being soft and gripp as you ride

Have you heard of clear grip tape?

Are 92a good for rough streets
They are pretty good. I ride on pretty rough streets and they are definitely alot smoother than like a 99A (obviously). I find that 86A are the real sweet spot for me though.
I got 101a
These, OJ mini super juice, or G-Slides. My road is asphalt and sucks bad. Need something to be big and able to run over everything.
mini super juice if its only about the cruise. I love riding on them more than anything else. While its possible and I did some kickflips on it before, you wont find me doing any tricks on those wheels.Apart from ollies ofc. Shuv its on these wheels is a mystery too me and im not willing to learn it lol
On clouds I will easily still have most of my flat tricks down, but they ride isnt as enjoyable. Still rides great on shitty ground. Obv these are tradionionally shaped so it helps, but OJs will get over bumpbs better
(i have both)
If you dont do tricks. Buy longboard wheels 70-80mm 78-82a duro with wider contact patch
where do u live?
