- This week, on Chasing Chrome Ep. 4, we take some of my friends from NJ salmon fishing!
These beautiful king and coho salmon were landed on size 3 blue fox spinners. Since I had so many people visiting me, I ran out of salmon rods, and had to fight these fish on my ultra light rod! What size spinner and what type is your favorite for coho salmon?
Size 3 usually, mepps hot fire tiger gets it done always for me no matter where it is. Blue foxes are good too any color pattern
Great video and some nice fish. Also great job showing kindness all around, part of fishing in this area is coexisting with those trying to get by and not demonizing them Do you find that area is best at high or low tide? I tend to fish higher up, not having as much luck but that's part of the learning curve!
JoshMendoza93 you’re totally right Josh, it’s all about kindness :) there’s a lot of toxic combat fishing going on around here and it’s great to stay above those vibes! But I tend to like this part of the river when it’s low tide! Fish are more stacked
@@BrianMonticello Awesome I will have to give it a shot! If you haven't been up towards 18 I would recommend checking it out when the silvers start getting up that way. Beautiful water that makes you feel you are outside the city!

Have you considered hitting the stilly or Skagit? A little more picturesque than the Duwamish, definitely cleaner, but I am not sure about the fish numbers
There's gonna be some different rivers coming in hot soon! I just recorded a blitz of videos from this river haha so the next few will probably be from it. Chehalis/Satsop videos to come soon too
