- Here is a video of me fishing the Green River using "Fisherman's Gold" Pink Squid Jig's from the River Bank. I Kept some fish for the Smoker and Harvested the eggs to make my own Cured Egg Baits!
I work 5 minutes from that hole and fish the pinks the exact same way. They hug that bank a lot. Most swim on by, but some want to play ;)
Heck yeah man that’s awesome I wanna go with sometime hopefully for kings
I have fished that exact bank of the Green that - exact spot - several times in last two month and caught some nice salmon. Thanks for a fun video!
Yes, its a hit and miss! can slay one day, and then dead for few days, I think all spots are the same, just a matter of when the schools of salmon keep moving or decide to stop in one place, that can happen in a lot of places in the green.
Man that looks like a ton of fun!🎣 🤘
Man it was while the bite was hot, of course later now in the season its slower and a lot of the fish are turning into boots (zombies)now
Great 👍🏿 video man
Thanks a lot, appreciate the comment!
I fish the green river 1975 alot
Yeeww 🎉
nice vid bro. keep up the good work
I appreciate the comment and support! Thanks a lot!!
Another banger. I think I ran into y again there 😂. I was out the 16th and I put 5 miles on the lambofeeties just trying find a hole to fish, there was people everywhere and so many kings, pink and some coho holding up the bridge right before.
Thanks man! This rain really helped push more fish in, even with the net's in I seen lots passing daily!
Smoke up them pinks huh? Pretty good. Thanks for the videos bro
yesiir! I shared most with family that smoked them in Oregon! feels good to not only catch the fish but nothing went to waste! I still have the guts stored in my freezer, hopefully I can do something with those, sounds like good stuff for the soil! and I the pinks eggs were cured and got me my first bobber down coho! what a step by step process with a successful end result.
@@cdro670 Awesome. I share your philosophy. Salmon carcasses make good crab bait as well as fertilizer. I bury lots of salmon guts/bones/heads in my garden. Thanks for posting these enjoyable videos
Please share your spot,I wanna try green river, never been..Thanks!love your videos
Respect others, this is his spot. Go on google maps and find them. More rewarding too.
The first couple of bites you tried to set the hook so hard I thought you were going to pull the lips right off those fish.
Good video. Entertaining.
Thanks for the comment! now that I watched the video I see what your saying with the lip ripping lol.. maybe it has something to do with my Bass fisherman side haha
That could be it. 😆Pinks aren't too bad but if you were to do that to a sockeye you might injure it. They are known to have very soft mouths. @@cdro670
Bro, i want to fish in the river. Can you send me this location please?
I want to know the exact location coz i am not familiar in the fishing spot here in Washington.I am from Saipan par. We just moved in recently and i wanted to fish with my daughter on the weekend.
This is behind Rainier Industries in Tukwila.
Reading through the comments, wish people would do the research and the work to find spots. Next time I go I envision 500 people lining the bank like the Puyallup lol. Sad. Don't share the spots guys, let people do just a little research.
You’re so selfish. You can have the whole river for yourself.
This spot looks awesome for floating eggs! Mind messaging me where it is? I need bobber downs!
below 212 bridge kent, walk down river on the green river trail, their are open entrances on the water side, so many more holes just like this one. still a lot of cohos pushing through. good luck !
Nice! I will be there next week. Will the salmon fishing still be good?
It's slowing down a little for Pink Salmon but still a lot of PINKS! A lot of Zombie Kings now but I heard people catching chrome kings until October, but the Coho bite has been good it's just starting. My brother just got a bobber down floating eggs yesterday and caught a nice coho, and I caught 2 other cohos days apart with the #4 blue fox spinner. I do good fishing for coho in October as well!
@@cdro670 thanks i appreciate the info! Where can i buy cured roe from? Sorry im asking questions, im from cali and it will be my 1st time fishing there.
Remember to mark a fish you intend on keeping before casting you can get a fat ticket
yes sir, ill keep that in mind! thanks for the info.
You can clearly see them angry strike his twitch. Chuckle heads are gonna say he’s snagging
lol let em hate while I appreciate!
Where is located this place ?🙏🏻
Too Easy !! Should I say, You make it look too easy. ✌️
Unprecedented Numbers this year! 4 million pinks ran through the sound into our rivers and Lots of Kings and Silvers too as well! I got my "first bobber down" using Pink Salmon eggs i've cured myself earlier in the season! Nice hearing from you again sir! A lot to catch up on! but at least you can see my fishing journeys through here, I enjoyed listening to all your fishing stories, now i'm making my own stories to tell 🎣fish on!
Always great to see you happy and hanging with your kids in your vid’s, makes me smile. Those cured salmon eggs we used to cut up in quarter size and wrap in small netting and use to catch steelhead. Drives em crazy and sand shrimp. As always keep ‘em coming and I’ll watch em. ✌️
Kewl. Where's that at? That river is calm
Green River..
@@cdro670can you give an exact address? Might try it with my son tomorrow
@@user-vu9xq9su3t sorry for late reply, below 212th bridge, if you follow the green river trail there are honey holes all along that area all the way to the Costco by Tukwila.
Hey Im in federal way and never fished salmon can me and my wife go. With you so we can learn how to I would like to know where that's at
its by Costco in Tukwila and feel free to ask em any questions regarding salmon fishing. 1st step-fishing license 2nd step-fishing rods 3rd step correct fishing line and fishing bait/lures 4th step-locations (along Tukwila in Costco is the green river trail) follow it along the river and you will see trail openings leading to the river. remember the fish are moving up river constantly and any part of the rive that has a bend or slow deep water fish it! thanks for the comment!
Thank you so much. I'll give it a try maybe I'll run into you
When was this filmed?
few weeks ago
Is it still hot there? It slowed down on Snohomish and I was thinking to try Green river.
yessir, tons of silver in as we speak a lot of people limiting out, and still a good number of pinks left, not as many as early in the season but still worth it to go try!
What’s the setup? I tried spoons yesterday n No luck. Can you help me out?
@@vonethug6395 for pink salmon I use Fishermans gold pink jigs they out fished other brands, even though there are many pink jig brands this one has the most UV color and flash! I tried using almost similar looking pink squid jig from another brand and didn't do as good as the Fishermans gold brand. For Coho Salmon I do best throwing # 4 blue fox spinner chartreuse body and chrome blade in the morning preferably shallow water for spinner fishing as well as floating eggs under a bobber with a possibility of hooking up on a big ol king as well. Morning bites have been the best for me. Good luck and let me know how it goes.
@@cdro670 thank you 🙏
Just subscribed and like. I've lost couple jigs on the rocks and have great success for me.
What is the daily limit? Cause I see you got 4 only. The WA wildlife website says daily is 6 n any 3 of mixed adults. Plus you are just before 212th st so that means we can keep the kings right?
From Tukwila International Blvd./Old Hwy. 99 to South 212th St. Bridge is where anglers must retain the first 2 Chinook caught. good question im not sure why I didn't limit out that day, I let a lot of male pink salmon go even off camera, I guess I was being picky keeping only the biggest, brightest, pink salmon hens to harvest the eggs for egg curing.
@@cdro670 even if chinooks are wild? Cause I wanna release the wilds but I know the stress they go through when caught but I’m confused with the retaining the first two part if that applies to wilds too?
@@cp.matautia4018 yes it applies to wilds too! and you are right, the more stress to the fish the less of a chance for it to survive, which is why I see why some people use strong braided line, I use 15-20 pound braided line, which is still over kill but I don't want to use light gear and tire the fish out(more stress) I try to bring them in as quick as I can, unhook, and release the fish back while never removing it completely out of the water! im working on better ways to properly release fish, but in the end of the day the fish have traveled a long ways and even with some good catch and release practices i'm sure there are some that still don't make it. ill have to do more research on this cause im still a noob at understanding the SALMON Life Cycle and behaviors . Thanks for bringing this up topic up, hopefully someone on here with an experienced background see's this post and give us more information on better catch and release methods and mortality rate when fish are actually caught and released back.
