- This week, on Chasing Chrome Ep. 6, we go back out to one of my favorite hidden Seattle creeks to do some Coho salmon fishing, and we end up finding hundreds of jumping salmon!
We ended up catching a nice little female I think? It was hard to identify looking back at the footage, and clearly I wasn't sure about it when filming. So drop me a comment if you can figure out how to identify if this coho was a jack or a jill. Anyways, sit back, relax, and don't forget to subscribe!

Dude bobber & eggs all the way in that water! 😂 Nice lil Coho on the spinner though!
Was that an official bullet spinner?
Awesome video man! Solid editing too. Tight lines! 🤙🏻
Thanks man!!!! Tight lines!!
Great video!
Just so you know, unless a creek is specifically open for salmon fishing in the regs, salmon are closed statewide. Also, unless mentioned in the regs, creeks and streams are closed. (Not trying to be the fun police, just don't want you in trouble)
This was a river, but I just colloquially called it a tiny creek in the title! 👍🏻
Thanks for looking out tho
Creeks and streams aren’t closed, they are no different than rivers, unless specified in the refs printed or emergency rules changes
@@gradynutt1315 Yeah, and rivers are all closed to salmon unless specifically mentioned in the regs
Humpy madness
Great video
Mike was hilarious I’m still laughing lmaooo
#imstillthenumberonefan ❤️
Definitely seems they like the outer seem when the water is like that and then hit the inner seem when the rivers get higher with rain. especially the more you get away from the mouth! Nice fish and nice video as always!
Thanks Josh!!
Mikey got stuck, great vdo guys
Is that the green river? Love your videos keep up the awesome work!!
😇🤔😂
thank you! :D
No, it's the green creek lol
Nice video man! Have a business trip coming up in august to Seattle. I want to try to fish for salmon. Will they be in the river systems?
Most rivers don’t open up til September but check the regulations there’s some that are!
Do you know if the green has anything running through it still?? Never fished for salmon this late in the year before and just looking for a few tips. Don’t need spots I can find my own but just trying to see if I’d have luck out there?
Probably have to go south and hit the cowlitz/ chehalis systems... these have B runs of BIG coho through December. Or the Olympic peninsula
@@BrianMonticello thank you very much! And keep up the great content. Glad to see more pnw youtubers coming around.
What bait do you use? I’ve tried to catch them and I can’t seem to catch them
Keep watching! You’ll find out :)
What are you using? There is a bunch of stuff you can do. Spinners, spoons, jigs are the simplest. Watch some videos on CZcams (Addicted Fishing is the best for learning imo) to see the more complicated techniques such as drift fishing and bobber fishing. Believe it or not, salmon eggs are a common salmon bait
Then again I have never caught a freshwater salmon so who am I to give advice lmao
@@BrianMonticello i did
Hey whats going on man, just wondering if you're going to be doing any steelhead videos
If you ever went on a fishing trip in Dallas Texas, what fish would u want to catch?
Basss all day baby!! I lived in Dallas for a few months actually!

Where is this? Me and my buddy want to fish this.
What part of the Green is this? Just moved up here and my goal is to catch a salmon this year. Care to help a brother out?
Welcome to the area! You can literally fish any part of the green when theyre running and catch fish. This in particular was the lower section closer to the mouth! Tight lines!
Damn that was sexual!!!
What creek is this?

At first I thought you were joking like no tell them creek, but I found it lol.
When is your next trip, can I follow you?

Theres a shop in Lake Steven's that services spinning reels. I'd take it there. Did you ever dunk it in saltwater? That may be whats wrong with it. I've done that before. 0/10
Haha yeah I’m pretty sure one of my buddies 2 videos ago dropped it in mud haha but that reel has long since been scrapped lmao
