As someone who has been fishkeeping for over 20 years, I think the information and care in the hobby has grown tremendously. And I think a lot of that is due to great channels like this one which show the pet side of fish, and how they're not disposable

I just love all the goldfish! I think the crown pearl scale is the prettiest. I wanna thank Jennie for showing all of us how to care for and love goldfish liek she does! If it weren’t for her, I’m sure 90% of use woulda till have a goldfish in a bowel feeding it flakes. It was because of her that I got a 55 with 2 goldfish. And thanks to her because she showed me how to humanity put a goldfish to sleep. She’s showed us all that you can loose everything and rebuild from your mistakes and uncontrollable problems. Thank you Jennie! For all your hard work, for sharing your knowledge with the rest of us, and shoo-in. Is what fun really is!

I think its really good that you do videos on how to care for goldfish, like some youtubers just put their fish in their overcrowded tanks without quarantining them and without medicating then because they think its boring, but you have loads of videos on how to care for them

I had a large Rag Doll cat named Meeko. He was 20 years old when he passed away a couple of years ago.
He was a true fighter. He got really sick with kidney failure with occasional seizures towards the end. But, No matter how bad he felt, even at the end, he always wanted to be close and would follow me around the house.
Before he got sick he'd always greet us at the door. He was never shy around other people and always wanted to be the center of the party. LOL
Along with his personality and weighing about 18 lbs he was kinda like a small dog. LOL
Anyway, if my Meeko was tough enough to overcome illness and pain, I believe your fish can too! ☺️

That's awesome! You can try Dandy Orandas or King Koi Goldfish if you're looking for imported goldfish. Lionchu are a little harder to find mostly because it's kind of a subjective mix between a ranchu and a lionhead. A lot of times different people define all three of these - ranchu, lionhead, and lionchu - somewhat differently.

I can personally vouch for King Koi, amazing people and business, great quarantine process. Lucky for me they are near me, but they do video shopping and let you pick out a specific fish from the store if you want.

As other people mentioned, I'd also very much like to see a video on goldfish medications as well, what they are for and where you can get them. I know everyone has their own opinions about what works best and all this info is somewhere on the internet, but to hear it from someone who has tried it and it works, and isn't trying to sell something that doesn't work. Love that you care so much about your babies, we do too!

I think “Percy” is a perfect name for him cause he’s been a little “high maintenance” (nothing you can’t handle obviously ;) ) but the dog Percy in Pocahontas is such a little king and this little guy has such a presence! Percy would be so fitting!! ❤️❤️ sending vibes that he heals well!

I recently got two butterfly telescopes (kirin and calico) and I love watching them eat! As soon as the food gets in the water they go crazy! I'm going to keep them with a calico ranchu but they are being quarantined right now... I got them around the same time as your new fish! My beautiful little Ranchu, Barbara passed away this morning and I have a feeling she may have been egg bound, she looked a lot like your fish, Toast. I love oranda goldfish, if I ever get another goldfish it'll be a pair of orandas. My first goldfish was a twin tail fancy goldfish who was red and white, his name was bracken and he lived 5 years. I loved him so much!

You should put tea tree oil on open wounds. Then hit the spots with slime coat to seal it on fish heal in two days. Put oak or almond leaves in water too will help calm him for healing to take place.
