  • My cats Sami, Roger, & Grimm have been using the Litter-Robot self cleaning litter box for a few weeks now and it's made my life easier so I figured I'd let you guys know what I thought of it. If you're not here for cute cat videos, don't worry because Friday's video will be back to the fish! ;)

      Solid Gold Aquatics u should get a crested gecko cause there so cool, awesome, and kinda easy to take care of. After 2021 (the year I graduate) and move out and live on my own I want to have 3 different types of cats (all shorthair) an American bobtail, an orange tabby, and a calico cat. Also all together I want 3 telescope goldfish (all black one, a calico one, and a white and orange one) and 4 oranda goldfish (all black one, all white one , a white and orange one, and an orange one).

    I've had my litter robot for one year. It has always worked flawless. Mechanically it's a very robust unit and should last many many years.
    I use 13 gallon kitchen bags and wrap the bag around the edge of the tray and use 2 small binder clips to hold it in place. This prevents litter from falling outside the bag and also increases the capacity a little.

    My family got the same litter box because we couldn’t keep up with our cats! We love it and found that you can buy a ramp/step stool that makes it a little easier for them to get in and out which helped our cats like it a lot. Our cats love it and it is SO much easier for us.

    I've had my litter robot close to 4 years and I couldn't be more pleasd. I got it before I got my sphynx kitten who is now a large sphynx cat and he has never had to use a dirty litter box. Every time he goes to use it, it's clean and fresh. I change bags once a week, take the full bag out and put a new bag in. And never a litter box smell.

    I had a tuxedo cat similar to Sammy. He would have been 19 in August, I had to have him put to sleep just last Monday, he was still really healthy, he played like a kitten and he loved to hide and jump out and grab my foot or leg when I walked by. They said he probably had a stroke, he was fine when I left for work but when I got home the poor guy wasn't able to walk or even stand up. The way you are taking care of your furbabies I don't see why they can't make it to 19 like Sox they look really healthy and happy. I would love to see a video of Sammy's birthday I always spoiled Sox, they give us so much unconditional love they deserve it.

  • @tuesdaylewin6183
    @tuesdaylewin6183 Před 6 lety +1

    Some people have probably already said this, and it may not apply depending on the preferences and personalities of your cats, but: you're supposed to have 1 more litter box than the number of cats you have so they have their own space and don't feel the need to guard their territory, closed top litterboxes can cause cats to feel cornered and stress them out, and because the robot rotates the side of the litter box gets covered in urine and feces so the cats get stressed because they can't clean it. So keep these things in mind if any of your cats start misbehaving or not using the litter box as these may be the problems you're encountering xxx

    Thank you thank you thank you! I have 3 cats as well and I have been trying to find a real video of someone who has multiple cats and how full it gets and how fast. Also I use the same litter so this was a great and worthwhile review!

    So I recommend getting the end table it goes under. I had the Litter Robot II and my cats would constantly try to get on top of it. They would also purposely set it off to watch it spin and were overall pretty hard on the unit. I found it's better to have it run at set times. Your cats may vary. I think it might be hardier now that the globe isn't a separate item that sits on top of the base. Anyway, I'd love to get a 6 month update. Every so often I think about getting a new one and whether or not it would be worth it. When the thing works it's great, but I couldn't justify replacing the base after the second failed circuit board.

      @CubingFox Před 6 lety +1

      Heather the Open Air is really the best of the options. I had the first one and I had the same issues as you. With the Open Air, they moved the motherboard to the side and moved the compression trigger to the back of the box to prevent unnecessary triggering of the cycling. The globe is actually a separate piece, it just has a shield over it which houses the blue LED night light. I'm very happy with the Open Air. The one Jenny has has the Bluetooth/wireless capabilities while mine is a Gen 1 open air.

    My childhood cat lived to 20 years and 7 months old :3 my sister's childhood cat lived to 19 (almost 20). The odds are probably that your boy will live a good while :D almost all the cats I've known that were well taken care of have lived for way more than 10 years (outside of freak problems like escaping and getting lost/dying, or developing a disease). My boy surprised me with his age, since he was older than me and hadn't seen a vet for most of his life. I think he fed off our love

  • @heidik1158
    @heidik1158 Před 6 lety

    My cats are currently 15 years old and it feels insane how old they are! They're brothers from the same litter from a farm close to us and they've both always been bigger than average "farm" cats (mixed breed/domestic shorthair). I love them so much and I'm also so worried about them, the other one already has some issues with his thyroid and has medication for it, but other than that they actually seem very healthy! They're clearly not as active as they used to be, but they love cuddles and usually go crazy every morning when people wake up. So don't worry about 10 years yet, your kitty can easily live for so much longer!

    Cool litter box. I used to have the CatGenie one when I had cats. Loved it cause it washed and dried the plastic litter pellets after every use. I never had to touch anything on the litter box after setting it up. The only downside was having to hook it up to the waterline under my bathroom sink.

    Heeeeey just a heads up, we use pine litter with our cats as well, but we use horse bedding pellets from our local feed store. Places like Tractor Supply carry it too, but it's basically the same thing. It'll be called "Equine Bedding" or something along those lines. You can get a whole 40lb bag of pine pellets for like 5 or 6 bucks. It's totally unscented and has just the natural woody pine smell, so there's literally nothing extra added to it that could cause issue. We usually buy up 2 or 3 bags at a time and lasts us a good while.

    I just switched to an automatic litter box about a month ago and it’s a game changer! I’m a very frugal person so always dismissed the idea in the past. However, I’m a single mom of 3 kids and have a house full of snakes, a cat and a dog. The worst chore used to be the damn litter box! And I only have 1 cat lol. I use the petsafe scoopfree box. You could probably get 3 of them for the price of yours. 1 for each cat. And it’s not as bulky. Thanks for sharing the giveaway. I will certainly take a free one!

    I stopped using that clumping clay litter because whenever I scooped, I would smell the perfume from it for hours, and I would always get a headache/sinus pain. Even the low dust formulas caused me this issue. I switched to World's Best Cat Litter, and I think that works out much better. It's also cheaper and at least to me seems to help with odor control a lot better. What I have heard about that litter is that you can sometimes end up getting some kind of corn eating beetles in it, so I just store my extra litter in an airtight container just in case.

The cats had a hard time being completely surrounded by the filth when using the litter box. and started peeing around the house. I dont personally think it will be that much of an issue, but its just something to keep an eye out for. Using a blacklight to look for marking by your cats is a good way to tell if they are spraying and having issues

    I don't know, these litter robots have never sat well with me. The way I have experienced it the litter box plays an important part in the social dynamics of cats when you have more than one. I have three cats and often catch them going into the litterbox after each other just to sniff what the other cat has left in there. I clean my litterboxes daily, but they still have more than enough time to investigate should they want to. I wouldn't change that just because it's more convenient to myself.

Best decision ever 😍😍❤️ I can't stop looking at them and their cutie faces and round bodies swimming around ❤️❤️ so thank you for all the information about fancy goldfish (this is all your fault hahahaha) and for showing me that goldfish are awesome! Greetings from Chile :)

    Where the litter rolls up and around to drop the poop becomes the 'roof' of the globe- does your cat ever get dust or stuck poop in their fur from rubbing against that part? I'm thinking a couple times when my kitty ate something she shouldn't and even with clumping cat litter it was kinda runny.... I'm imagining streaks of litter poo on the slide.

    I could totally use this !! Great thanks!!

    Great video (wow can’t believe I enjoyed a video on cat waste!) have been considering getting something like this for our two kitty cats Leo and Digit.
    My son Liam enjoys your videos and seeing all your animals he also likes your “funky hair”
    And loved how your cats were playing in the start of the video.

    My childhood cat died in April so I understand your nervousness. My old lady was 18. I hope that he has at least as much time left.

    My cat is 18 years old. She has never had a litter tray, from the time she was able to walk outside she has gone to the loo in the garden. As she has gotten older and we are in our winter (Australia) she has been hesitant to go outside and has taken to using my shower as her toilet. At least I can just pick up the poop and flush it and turn tap on to wash away the pee.

    I absolutely adore Jennie, she's such a wonderful person and I love this channel and all her fish. I think she's gorgeous, but does it bother anyone else the way shes been filling in her brows lately? I cannot stop noticing it, like her brows are already fabulous idk why shes over lining then so much.

    For $500 you'd REALLY need to hate scooping litter lol. Thanks for the review though. It's a pretty cool device.

    My cat has one ! Its a great investment 😻♥️ he was terrified of it the first day .... but my method was a little more cut throat ... I put his old litter box next to it and locked him in the bathroom with it during the night ... then day 2 I removed his old litter box and if he wanted to use the bathroom he was going to use it 😹 I also put some of his old poops in the litter robot 🤖 so he knew what it was 😹
