Honestly these videos have really opened my eyes to goldfish in general. Growing up my parents always had goldfish and I just wasn't as fascinated by them compared to tropical fish. I've heard they're messy, but easily fixable with a heavy duty filter. Stocking may not be bountiful but they're so active you don't necessarily need to stock much. I've learned lots so thanks for being both entertaining and educational!

Just saying, it won't just be two lol. This is a very expensive and very very very addictive hobby. Iv had all kinds of fish. After loosing my favorite goldfish when their tank crashed (Blue was my favorite but at one time i had 4 I lost all of them) i took a peek at the goldfish in petsmart. I was kinda upset and missing them, out of the blue (pun NOT intended) a little oranda with the most beautiful coloration swam up to me with the cutest tank. He/she put his/hers fin on the tank and i put my finger on the tank. Something clicked, and I almost cried. I didn't leave without that lil fish. I gave it a femal name, so i will refer to it as female till its older and i can tell better. I named her Aphrodite. I also got a betta who was the same color lol. I named him Phoenix. The bettas in my bedroom and the goldfish is in the living room.
Your love for Gold Fish, in general, is one of the sweetest things I have seen. I am an animal lover. ALL ANIMALS, no matter what they are, deserve love and respect. I've been watching your videos for a year now. You are super informational and very humble. Another reason why I love your channel.

My home too... the twin cities! Once you know the details, I'm so there. You have made me fall in love with goldfish. And like you said, there are so many different goldfish with unique personalities. They truly are amazing. Plus, I suffer from anxiety and alot of the things you struggle with as well so it's been so helpful to have someone who knows how I'm feeling, even if you have no clue who I am, it still helps. And your positive cheerful energy just makes me feel so much better. You have no idea the difference you make in my mental health and happiness.

I LOVE your channel. Nobody gives goldfish the credit they deserve. You said you want to represent all types of goldfish. I really hope you get Shubunkin those are my favorite and there aren't ANY serious youtubers that focus these. And please get a tank of feeder goldfish. Show people that these "feeders" are wonderful animals and pets like any other with their own unique personalities. Much love and respect.

maimee feeder goldfish are the big tanks full of like 19 cent goldfish you see at like petco or petsmart. People buy them in bulk to use as food for larger predatory fish.
I bought a feeder goldy a few months ago and he's gotten a lot bigger in such little time than I had expected! His name is Tom and I love him. He's a complete goofball, it's so fun watching him eat too

your videos always make me so happy and are so helpful in providing the best life for my goldfish! i have had a fantail and a black moor for two years that i bought from walmart with my freshman year roommate. They're absolutely massive now, easily over 5 inches each. everyone that comes into my room is so surprised when they see them for the first time. your videos have helped me explain the beauty of raising goldfish and i've been able to educate dozens of people on how to properly care for them. thank you so much for sharing your passion!!!

I love how you take such good care of these animals, You always make sure they have proper tank mates and proper care, tank size and proper food. I hate going into the fish section of my store (just looking) and seeing how they don’t take care of goldfish properly. (Some tanks are well taken care of). Keep up the great work!
Nets get caught on their fins and can rip or tear their fins, it happened to one of my goldfish that is why I don’t use nets anymore
That too. Goldfish have "spines" of sort to protect them from getting eaten by other fish. The leading ray of the dorsal fin and the leading rays of the pelvic fins are a little more pokey than the other fins and can easily get snagged on nets, leading to torn fins.

Maybe your net needs to be larger? I try placing the net nearby each one in ways to allow them to swim in themselves and carefully place my hand in support of the fish carried in the net as to not allow flailing or thrashing about inside it, making sure i move quickly to whatever container close by i am putting them in. And from the container, which for me it's usually a plastic kitchen wash dish basin or ones like you see used in the hospital, with some tank water in it, to another tank if it's not close by. I always feel fear of dropping them in my hands when/or if they are fluttering about.

I think keeping the focus on goldfish and other carp species for your gallery is a great idea. It all ties in with your branding. That's not to say you can't have other species but I love that your primary focus are goldfish and the educational information you share is above most goldfish keepers. Your dog is hilarious as well. German Sheperds are very intelligent and loyal dogs.

Your channel has really made me gain an appreciation for goldfish. I already thought they were adorable but wow. It makes me really want one. I'm decently experienced with freshwater community tanks, bettas, and freshwater inverts but I havent owned a goldfish since I was a kid. Maybe I can save up for a nice big tank to get one or two. I really appreciate the work you put into the videos and just the obvious care you put into taking care of yours.

You should have bubble eye goldfish with the pearlscales so they have similarities like the bubbly wen on the pearlscale and the bubble sac on the bubble eye

Actually, the common gold fish and the Wakin are my favorite varieties of goldfish. I think they are wasted as feeder goldfish! They look awesome in my garden pond, keep insect populations down and they are friendly.

I like goldfish. Comet goldfish. The "fancier" you get, the more they look like mistakes of nature, they even struggle with swimming because we've made their bodies so round...

As s newbie at the Goldfish hobby I have never been happier with my decision to get them. My only regret is not getting them sooner !!!! I have one orange oranda with black lips and a black Moore because of your videos. I've always had community tanks but never had gold fish until I started watching your videos. I had no idea how beautiful or how big they get. I love those 2. They are so different than my other fish. I'm so glad I found your channel. Thanks for the videos and the education about the fancy little fish.

It's a wen made up of thick jelly-like tissue (just like an oranda's wen but shaped differently) so it can't deflate.

Ever since getting goldfish, I move pretty much every fish I handle in my hands LOL! My bettas are now solely moved by cup or hand, and even at work I handle everything (even plecos!) I can by hand. Darn goldfish! They changed me!

Beautiful tanks! Beautiful fish! I just purchased my first fancy goldfish , 2 Ryukin. I have been looking for an Oranda Red Cap locally, for some time now, with no luck. I wanted to start with a smaller fish to watch it grow, so I figure I got lucky to find the Ryukin, I’ve named them Topper and Olivia. Thanks to CZcams’s like yours, I’ve learnt quite a lot about the care of these guys, so thanks for taking the time to make these CZcams’s! Maybe a 120 tank could be in my future!

I'm so happy to see you have a lot of fish again! One goldfish that I hope you get is a few fantails. They're so underrated in the fancy community to the point that I didn't even want one until I fell in love with my Po. She's is just the sweetest fish and is almost like a mom to my other fish. I have other fish, including a ryukin from Dandy Orandas, that cost way more, but this $5 fish is truly the queen of my heart.

I'm getting my first fancy goldfish tomorrow! I haven't had goldfish since I was a kid, which were just the couple I won at the carnival and we just didn't know how to care for them properly, like most people back in the day I think. We used to name our pet pigs after vacuum cleaners. After watching your goldfish eat, I think it would work for goldfish too. I can see a Hoover, Kirby, and Dyson swimming around one of your tanks. Lol
