Kinda sad how collegeboard has not put out any useful material to prepare for the dsat and how they just using us as guinea pigs for the American dsat which will roll out in 2024.
Four practice tests and some hidden bonus questions on non-adaptive PDFs, and a lot of misinformation. Not what I would consider sufficient. But we can overcome that working together!

Thanks for this great video, I want to ask if I mark 6 questions for review in module 1, would I be giving another 6minutes for the review?
Not necessarily. My "one minute per question" rule works out nicely because you'll have 5 minutes at the end of each English module. Ideally you should try to review everything in those 5 minutes. If you can save more time, then great you can take more time for review. Some reviews shouldn't take you long, especially if you've already eliminated some options.

Hey thank you so much for this video!! I just had a tiny question. I'm using my iPad on testing day so do you still recommend using a mouse?
Good question! So, I haven't tried using a tablet personally (don't have one to test) but I think in that situation since you can just tap on the screen you might not gain as much speed with a mouse. I would encourage you to test it out yourself, see what works faster for you. I did my comparison with the pad on my laptop and found that a mouse definitely helped, especially when hitting smaller buttons like the "flag for review" or the eliminator buttons.

English materials have a button that you can click (not in drive though, download and open somewhere else) and there are math answers in the math materials folder

i’ve tried openning the pdf in lumin docs and googledocs but couldn’t get those answer hyperlink boxes to work. if there’s another way this can work out, or in place a pdf of answer keys be shared, it’d help out a million! looking forward to the may sat
Yeah lumin docs or google docs won't work. You have to actually download the files and open them in an app on the computer, I usually open them in Adobe Acrobat Reader, but I've seen it also works in Chrome or Edge.
I haven't made a giant answer key yet because a lot of these files are still getting small changes and updates as I go through them. I intend to do that eventually but don't quite have the time at the moment.
@@score-yourcollegecounselor btw, if answer keys aren't possible for all topics, could they be made for some crucial ones like sentences, transitions and contextual text. Just the q. number and answer is enough even if it’s in a text file. Hope i don’t overburden you, but time crunch is digging deep in me. Would appreciate it a million!

That's a 3 period of expert green screen with low-res camera included in the video.
I tried a new technique actually, no green screen! I'm using a 1080p webcam hooked up to my Nvidia 3060 to remove the background with AI. I kind of messed up the encoding though and had to key out the black later. I've learned how to do it properly now, so maybe next time it'll be better.
is touchscreeen laptop allowed? i hv lenovo yoga 7i which is an touchscreen laptop
I haven't seen anything prohibiting touchscreens, they even allow tablets so I think it's fine.
Btw do you have answer sheet for the math workbook in the description below ?????
We just uploaded those to the folder! There's a version of the textbook with all the questions resolved and screenshots of exercises from the workbook completely resolved.

You have to download the PDFs and open them in another program, just viewing them in Google drive doesn't allow the button to work unfortunately.

I'm so glad it helped! And all the classes I do are in English! I only cover the English part though. I even live streamed two sessions here. We have uploaded recordings of all our classes for everyone to use for free.

Hey! Thank you for the kind words and I'm glad you liked it, you gotta download the PDFs though to see the answers. It does work, you just have to open the PDF in another program. If you just open them in Drive it doesn't enable the interactive features.

Are we even allowed to use bring our phones to the test center pls show some proof? Also what if someone has some helping material downloaded on their laptop
Yes, you can bring your phones for the Digital SAT but they will keep them out of the test room. And if you have material on your laptop, I don't think that'd be a problem. From what I understand, Bluebook closes everything else while you run the test
GUYS MY TEST IS TWMORROW AND I HAVE A QUESTION. i have a wireless mouse not a Bluetooth one bt a wireless one. i connect a USB thing to my laptop and the mouth connects to that. do you think that the SAT will allow this?\

All the English material has a button for each exercise that you can use. All you have to do is download the files, it won't work if you're trying to view them in Google Drive.

2nd practice exam i made 9 wrong , i got 740 in math. 3rd practice , i made 4 wrong , got 740. why same?
That's odd, double check. Right now, on every test there are 1-2 questions that don't count against your grade. There are also hard questions that they assume are more difficult and more likely for you to do wrong. But even if those were your only mistakes you'd still be under 700.
Your result from the 3rd practice is much more in line with my experiments.

in English section of Digital Sat , khan academy and college board bluebook test have different answer in some questions.
Seriously? I took the Bluebook ones and saw that KA was basically the same thing so I didn't bother doing those tests in full. It's a total mess I swear I am like legitimately outraged at the way this whole thing has been deployed with almost no support for students.

Yes the real test is adaptive so if you do really well on the first part you will get harder questions for the second part. The non-adaptive tests that you can download have a good variety of questions so that you can see more hard questions if you're having trouble getting through the first module in math.
Unfortunately I'm bad at math and that's why I mostly focus on the English part.
@@score-yourcollegecounselor yeah the adaptive feature is keeping us hanging because we don't know if we should mess with the first module on purpose to get easy questions for module 2 :/
On the test? Never do that. You NEED the hard module to get the best scores. So you NEED to get as many right as possible on the first module to unlock the hard module.
I only messed with it for experimentational purposes to see what would happen and to build my material.

Went through the English questions in the Google Drive you shared. They are nowhere close to the questions College Board has shared. Would not recommend anyone wasting time on those. Nevertheless, thanks for the tips in this video.
Hey! I'd love to hear if you have any specific examples of questions that you think don't fit what is on the Digital SAT. The questions were modeled after the 4 mocks in Bluebook and equate to each kind of question asked on the test. The length of the paragraphs is about the same and I would say the difficulty level is similar. I made over 300 questions and I doubt you looked at them all, but I would love to hear your feedback if you have anything specific to say.

for centuries. Both options A and B are doing the exact same thing. SAT does not test choosing between period and semicolon to separate two independent clauses. The next question tests use of single quotes. Again, something that's not tested on the Digital SAT.
Thanks for the response. That's a fair point. That's two whole questions. I included those for educational purposes to generate a conversation in classes, and if you watch my classes I actually mention that these kinds of questions probably won't be on the SAT but given that there's a new structure, it's possible they could add these and it wouldn't hurt to take 5 minutes to make sure you know the difference.
I don't think that justifies labeling all 300+ questions as a waste of time though.
