- Hi! My name is Parth, and I’m an 11th grader from India. I took the SAT 3 times and achieved a superscore of 1570 in my third attempt, wherein I got a 790 on the digital English section. This video breaks down how I prepared for the Digital SAT, mistakes I made that should be avoided as well as resources you can get completely for free and how you should use them.
Hopefully you find this video helpful! Please share it with others so they can benefit from it as well, and please make a video about your preparation if you score well too. Always great to pass on the knowledge :)

Hey Dude! I want to hear more from you about R&W and Math in seperate videos.
I think we cannot grasp your ideas in a video. If you have time then once consider to create videos for each section separately.
Thanks Bhai! ❤

Is there any resource for dsat practice tests beyond the 4 bluecook ones?
Could you create a thorough video explaining what to do after receiving the SAT score, including how to submit your sops, lors, and essays?

Hey! Where can I find the dsat practice tests? I heard they were on bluebook but I can’t seem to find them.
Hey Parth, really helpful video man. One question though, how can we improve the words in context/vocab question?
glad you found it helpful.
In terms of these questions, 1. Obviously, practice using Erica Meltzer. If you’re not naturally good at English, she explains some strategies you can use to do these questions more easily.
2. Reading more often. I think this helps because of a psychological phenomena: whilst reading, most people don’t want to pick up a dictionary and interrupt their flow. Therefore, they will automatically try to best make sense of a word even if they don’t know it. This subconscious practice might help you in the long run.
Thanks for the advice! Defo will put into practice.
pls make a vdo on when and how do we have to apply for SAT.....I
how can i prepre for the reading part because i alreadt did all the khan academy questions
Hi, thank you for the tips. If you don't mind, I have two more questions; would you recommend Khan Academy's small math practice tests even though they were made for the paper-based SAT I think it is more challenging than the ones on Bluebook? What's your point on that
Also, are actual Digital SAT tests (Verbal parts only) resembling the ones on Bluebook. Thank you in advance.
1. Yes, absolutely. Math is fairly the same so I would say go ahead.
2. Yes. The questions were pretty much the same format for the English section.
Don’t worry about the collegeboard giving you misleading material!
@@parthjain29 huge respect ❤ bro

Hey Parth,
Great video!
Was wondering if you could draw a comparison between the Bluebook Practice Tests and the actual Digital SAT Exam.
Was the question type and flow similar?
Taking my attempt in June :)
Thank you, and to answer your question- the Bluebook tests and actual exam were very similar in that regard.

Thank you so much for this video. I took the SAT on the 25th of March and I had a 1170, I plan to take it again on May 6th which is 2 weeks from now. I'll use your tips and I hope that it works, but do you have any tips for me? Especially because of the limited time that I have, what should I do differently?
:) glad you found the video helpful.
Unless you are already in the 1300-1400 range or improving steadily, I would advise you to push your test date.
Not because it’s not possible to achieve a 1500+ (which I assume your goal is, if not ignore what I’m saying) but because it may become too stressful.
However you prepare, just split you tests evenly and take ample time to work on your mistakes in between. THAT is where your score will be made, trust me.
Best of luck!
hey! i’ve taken a couple tests on the Bluebook app and i’m still at around 1460 all thanks to silly mistakes and my first attempt is in may. do you have any advice on how to not let the fear of not completing on time affect you?
1. you can try doing the test with the timer off (there's a toggle) so you won't see the time at all unless you want to.
2. think of why you're feeling nervous (and therefore making silly mistakes). Something is detracting from your focus. Once you figure out what that is, you won't stress about time anymore. One thing that may help is getting more confident with reading stuff, which might make you feel more calm during the english section, allowing you to understand stuff in one go and therefore not make silly mistakes/ worry about time.
3. Attempt the test in passes; don't spend excessive time on a question but at the same time if you do decide to solve it, read it through properly and make sure you're not missing any keywords (now you even highlight/annotate them digitally)
❤
ik this is a dumb question but how exactly do i identify the "topic" each question is from?
did u made notes for english rules??
can you help me with sat problem basically i want to study abroad but i have no clue what i should do after it?? can we talk??

Can you suggest me a course for English
hey! Do u rrecommed doing the reading tests from previous SAT's(paper ones)?
PLus, have you tried doing any of those? (Amazing video btw)
I would say that the old reading tests are still valuable as they help your critical reading skills. Since the digital SAT has few resources, I’d say that practising with the paper-based SAT is a good option.
I think you can. I did do a grammar one but was short on time, so I didn't do too many. However, the same principle stands: they're testing the same skills differently, so if one is good at the paper format, I would expect one to do well in the digital one as well. Hope this helps!

I didn’t do any other practice tests, though you can do past paper SAT QAS tests as well as some practice Digital sat questions. Links in description.
im just curious would you mind sharing the books that you have read for the preperation for the dsat?
I read Freakonomics by Steven Levitt
Are there any more challenging math resources, practices, tests that you can recommend? I've heard that DSAT math section was much more difficult than the Bluebook practice tests
Yep, like I mentioned- ACT math sections (excluding out of syllabus content) are tougher in terms of general thinking difficulty so you can look at those
Also look on google for “toughest SAT math problems” and try and solve those

Will the results of digital SAT be mailed to us since there is a section for mailing address in which we are supposed to give ZIP code and address?
Alternatively, can the online score reports be used in college application, are they legit and recognized by universities (online score reports)?
Does digital SAT give any weight to college application and being accepted?

1. 1 Passage per question (except paired passages)
2. Mostly reading and grammar deferred, math was slightly more challenging

Outstanding !! I have a couple of questions though:
I'm on my phone, so sorry for the scuffed English language :)
I am an international student, applying for the August SAT. I still have time till the exam, so i don't want to spend my DSAT practice tests too early. Would you suggest using past pen paper QAS as an alternative in the meantime ? And when do you suggest doing the practice tests?
What are your thoughts on Uworld ? Do you recommend it?
One last question. What type of books do you suggest for reading?
Thank you in advance!
No issues, I’ll try my best to answer each of the questions one by one.
If you’re preparing for the August SAT, I’d say yes, you can begin with QAS tests and Erica Meltzer’s books. You can use the same answer reviewal strategy I did for these.
Around July or so, mark out when you’ll do your digital practice tests and follow the same.
I’ve heard Uworld is pretty decent for the pen and paper SAT. I’d suggest sticking to QAS tests, however, if you REALLY want some skill based practice and can afford it sure, go for it. You could then do a test, fill the table, and practice and improve using Erica Metlzer and Uworld.
As for reading, read what you like! Literally. I read this book called Freakonomics during those 10 days, but it isn’t really about what you read; instead the quality of the book you read and the fact that you’re processing everything. Needless to say, don’t pick anything obscure that’s too difficult to read, or wimpy kid either. Choose a book on a subject you like and that you’ll enjoy, whether fiction or non fiction.
Hope that answers everything.

Hello Parth, thank you for making this video talking a little about your experience on the Dsat, as an international investor from Brazil, I feel that there is still little explanation about the digital SAT, and I have been a little lost in what I need to study. Would you mind answering a few questions about dsat? 1- What books did you use to study for the sat? 2- Does the content of the Khan Academy and the bluebook really help, and are the simulations good examples and practices for Dsat?

@@parthjain29 so there are a lot of vocab questions as compared the contextual quantitative and stuff questions, i mean when i was practising on KHAN the first 3-4 topics were a little harder but in the bluebook tests those are tested the least. Is that the real DSAT too?
i have been using khan academy to my best use and also wanted to ask you if should consider buying The Official SAT Study Guide or not can i get its pdf on the internet?
You can get the pdf pretty easily
you said that you did first the grammer ones in reading but why just in the first module ? if it is an effective way to solve questions why do you dont apply it to both of the modules
primarily because the flow is broken. Think about it- reading, being the tougher section, you wanna do when you're in peak flow and when you're warmed up- that's why I use grammar to warm up the first reading section, which in turn serves as warm up for the 2nd reading section. If you don't do that, you'll break your flow in the more difficult second module.
