Obviously they used a joint Rain Dance to increase ocean waves with teams of Wailords increasing the waves by charging towards Sootopolis with another team of Wailords at the base to use Water Spout to launch Surfing Pokemon carrying loads of material over into the opening.
      Or they had Machamps just shotput materials into the opening and Machamps inside to catch it

    Concrete mixed by Conkeldurr is much more durable than normal concrete, even when the compositions of the two materials are the same.

      and most of the places featured are ruins in one way or another (Spear Pillar got an honorable mention and all thats left of that is the floor and a few pillars)

      Honestly, it's probably just that, it's completely dependent on a singular person, meaning they control it, which could imply it was a normal island until this person or their bloodline started moving it using pokemon, which considering pokemon can create black holes, enough that it's a recognized pattern, probably means that island moving and fog creation is pretty unwealming. I mean, if I moved where Hawaii is, would it become a world wonder?

    18:30 Turnback Cave is more impressive because its another place that randomizes the rooms but also the conection between the pokemon world and the Distortion is weaker. There is even a Distortion world portal in Giratina's room (only in Platinum). And like Rayquaza with sky pillar Giratina found it cool enough to choose it as its resting place when it visits the pokemon world because it connects its two homes

      It's cool but it gets really boring, really fast. It's something that would seriously benefit form a proper 3D remake to bring out it's Intimidating interior atmosphere to the fullest (ironically, ''to life'' as they say) - but sadly BDSP,, just wasn't the one,, nope lol.

And I know who to trust by over on this one lol. Ok, it's not quite as Iconic as the College of Winterhold in Skyrim - but it's a darned Modern day school, not meant to be a remote and foreboding National centre for Mages and Wizards lol. The Academy yet has so much lore to give; so much potential.

    The biggest problem with Hammerlock Castle is the cantilevering on the “wings”. We already can see that some of the outcroppings have broken off. By all rights, every single one of them should have. It’s structurally unsound and poses a real threat to the citizens. The next piece that breaks off could kill someone.

      Warp panels don't seem to be that weird and uncommon in the Pokemon world, some gyms have them as a mere puzzle. Yeah the ones in the towers might be a lot older, but we don't really know how long that technology has existed so it isn't necessarily anything wondrous.

      Another possible culprit of turning the forest into a Labyrinth is Zoroark with its illusions. The anime shows that Zoroark's illusions can completely warp someone's perspective of reality. The many wild Zoroark living in the Winding Woods could easily work together, and turn the woods into one massive illusion.

    How did he forget N's castle like that thing is huge and probably the biggest feat of engineering in the Pokemon universe. This thing is some how lifted out of the ground, was built under the Pokemon league without anyone knowing, had bridges that were expelled from the castle into the Pokemon league, and then still survived years later after falling back into the ground as you can see in BW2.

    I would consider the glimwood tangle atleast an honorable mention for the natural wonders. It is one giant biolumenescent forest that has such a thick canopy it is black during the day

    I would definitely consider the Ruins of Alph a wonder since Unown rarely leave their own dimension, so something must be really special about those Ruins for them to all want to stay there for so long.     Love the shoutouts to the underrated designs of Unova btw and now I'm even more sad we never got to explore more of Kalos lore and design in the scrapped gen 6 sequel(s). Winding Woods and Reflecting Cave were some of the coolest maps that could have been made truly memorable by expanding on them in the follow-ups.

      There's also the spear pillar, which somehow has a direct link to a rift in space/time where the actual pokemon world god resides. It and the azure flute that you need to access said rift make no sense and I really hope that legends arceus goes more into the details of how it's actually possible. And some concrete details on what exactly the connection between the sinjoh ruins and ruins of alph is would also be nice. (And also the ruins of alph i would classify as another wonder that got snubbed)

    Sootopolos has always been my favorite city in Pokemon, so in my fan made region, there is a city that was formed by an earthquake between 2 volcanoes, that made a large crater like ditch, and ancient people built there city there. Its based off of ancient Assyrian cities( my region is based off Turkey)

    One of my favorite places has to be Spear Pillar, on the top of Mt Coronet. There are so many places in the SInnoh region that I'd love to explore in the remakes. Gen 4 is just beautiful.

    I get the impression that the Winding Woods and similar locations are so vast that the player character just gets lost when moving from location to location. So in the transition from one screen to another, the player might have just lost track of where they were and ended up back at the start. They are the"Winding" Woods after all, so maybe the player character ends up looping back on themself.

    I feel like places like Sootopolis are made BECAUSE of the bond people share with Pokemon. I'm betting Psychic Pokemon, Water Pokemon, and Fighting Pokemon lended a hand in the creation of the "city". Also I think a good one for the man made wonders that wasn't here, was Geosenge Town, based on Stonehenge, which is one of the wonders of the REAL world, and for natural wonders, Reflection Cave from Kalos as well. That cave is SO gorgeous, and it looks like it's man made, but no. It's all natural extremely reflective crystal. So reflective, that trainers can see you trying to walk behind them, and challenge you to battle. I like how it looks in the anime as well-the mirror world was super odd touch but kinda cool.

    Little fun fact about Giant Chasm. It is most likely a reference to the Tunguska event. A real life event where a bunch of trees were found felled overnight and looked a lot like the trees in the middle of the Giant Chasm.     I think for the Paldea region if HAVE to choose one or two
    Its the elevator of Porto Marinada or the Naranja or Uva academy building due to being a big nice old gothic looking building and that its the oldest school and maybe building in all of Paldea
    For natural wonders i would say the crater
    Idk y
    Or mayne the big af snow mountain

      Ikr? 👍 Scarlet/Violet simply aren't talked about enough for it's awesome locations!
      And Cities/Towns (yes, actual Towns unlike Legends ''I am ancient , no people existed apart form 5 or 6 and that's my 'excuse', go away'' Arceus.)

    i know these are side games but I was really impressed with the tower that was constructed in Rangers shadows of almia but also alot of the ancient buildings in rangers guardian signs.

      Regigigas temple isnt that big of a deal compared to other things in pomemon. It is "just" a big temple. So are the sinjo ruins.
      The burned tower might be a wonder in the pokemon universe but in reality it is just a big japanese tower that burnt down. Not really that special

      They died in the fire, a giant chicken flew down and revived them as legendaries. Nothing to do with the tower.
      Thaz has nothing to do with construction skills or natural wonders.
      Its a legemdary pokemon doing good things. So the legendary pokemom is the only one in this story that is somewhat of a wonder

    this video will help me a lot with my pokemon project a lot! i'll make a region indpired in ancient greece and rome, expanding throughout all of europe and north africa, this is perfect to know which landmarks i have to include, and how old will they be then :D
