Not only was it hilarious, but it also eased the audience into liking/agreeing with the main lead even though he's doing such fucked up things. It's because the actor has more of a Roadman accent, but they wanted him to try and sound more posh, like Harry
The actor has a cockney accent (which is english but doesnt sound anything like the stereotypical ‘posh’ british accent) and so the writers forced him to speak more poshly by getting him to pronounce his t’s but it really messes the whole thing up like i was cringing so hard
