Fun fact, the reason Tessa's not in this movie is because her actress, Josephine Langford, didn't want to continue the series lmao, she didn't think there was any more story to tell. All of her appearances in this movie are from footage cut from the fourth movie. I can't blame the woman, I would want to quit this movie too, but it definitely makes it a weird finale when the female lead isn't even in it lmfaoooo.

I think this film series exists to describe what dating a narcissist is like. Someone who only talks about themselves and expects everyone to talk about them only too. Unable to acknowledge anyone else's struggles for more than 5 seconds. Also the girls' responses, both by Tessa and Natalie, are unhealthy "fawn" responses. They ignore their own trama to try and comfort Harden which will not work. Because he needs to fix his trauma on his own. Nobody owes that to him. Unfortuently this is a common dynamic in many relationships.

I guess she didn't think this made sense. Everything of her in this film is either flashbacks or it was filmed during the 4th movie. I believe, to be a sort of epilogue but they instead stretched that into an entire movie.

He could meet some 19yearold kid who's at risk of ending up like he did and give him a reality check, SHOW the viewers what he's learned. They bond and Hardin becomes the father both of them never had. That's what ends up truly healing his soul. The end.

Not only was it incredibly disgusting how he violated her in that way, but then the fact that she forgives him when he’s done nothing to earn it because the plot can’t SHOW that Hardin deserves it (because he doesn’t), it has to TELL us. And while yes, this is a fanfic, the message is absolutely HORRENDOUS!!! He bet his friends he could sleep with Natalie, forced her into making a sex tape, sent it to his friend, it got out and fucked up her life, and then a few years later bet another friend he couldn’t sleep with this other girl, never really apologized to that other girl, and now five years later, he’s still not sorry for how he treated Natalie.

This entire series just reiterates the fact that some people cough cough, Hardin, only apologize or seek forgiveness so they can feel good about themselves. It also shows that some people just aren't capable of maturing or growing up.
I'm very grateful to Dylan for letting me watch this movie series without all the cringe, anger, and embarrassment that would have come watching it by myself.

One of the biggest reasons I hated the After movies is because they literally argue so badly all the time and are so toxic one minute and then the next they have sex and don’t talk or address anything and it’s just “oh we’re together again” “oh we’re just sleeping together but we’re basically together” like bro.. the fact that people watch these movies and think they’re ‘relationship goals’ is horrifying.
The fact that Tessa was literally only there to bang and then for the epilogue is funny because imagine being the actress, getting the script and know your longest scene is almost wordless and it’s just smex
Her actress wasn’t in this at all, which i think is funnier tbh. She straight up turned them down when they decided mid shooting movie four to turn it into five movies. Iirc that scene at the end was purposefully kept from the end of four and the other scenes she’s in are older deleted or reused scenes.
I think this is the closest to monday dylan will ever get.
