As well as a guy at the party standing next to dylan sprouse wearing a 'Fucking Trevor' shirt. Not to mention that Jesse and Benny are also actors from the After movies

Every time I hear about a fanfic movie being released I think humanity loses 10 years of lifespan, getting closer to its extinction, I hope so actually, we already have too many embarrassing mistakes in our species' background.
Answering Dylan at the end, the characters here are very different from the ones in the book. Abby is more stoic and committed to leaving her past behind, Travis is less goofy, Parker is more a jackass and Shepley is not a dumbass (that one pissed me off the most lol). Also, that scene where Abby meets Travis' family is def more meaningful and purposeful in the books. The set up for them discovering her she is a poker player is way better and more impactful due to her reluctance to play the game with them at first, not like in the movie where she practically jumps at the opportunity. And, she forms a meaningful connection with one of Travis' older brothers, Trent. I know the book has many red flags, but I still think that if they had kept the integrity of the characters and worked a little around the toxic stuff, this movie would've been better/less cringey. Like, I love terrible movies and chick-flicks, and I think everybody did a good job, but this movie was almost unbearable to me 😅

i still thought the book was better though in general like the story was better developed but this version of travis as a human overall is a better person lol.
And the thing is i love those kind of books. But this book is sold as a regular contemporary romance rather than dark romance. That's the problem with these kinda book adaptions. The stories which should be under the dark category, are being made into movies like they are romantic.

Answering Dylan at the end, the characters here are very different from the ones in the book. Abby is more stoic and committed to leaving her past behind, Travis is less goofy, Parker is more a jackass and Shepley is not a dumbass (that one pissed me off the most lol).
Also, that scene where Abby meets Travis' family is def more meaningful and purposeful in the books. The set up for them discovering her she is a poker player is way better and more impactful due to her reluctance to play the game with them at first, not like in the movie where she practically jumps at the opportunity. And, she forms a meaningful connection with one of Travis' older brothers, Trent.
I know the book has many red flags, but I still think that if they had kept the integrity of the characters and worked a little around the toxic stuff, this movie would've been better/less cringey. Like, I love terrible movies and chick-flicks, and I think everybody did a good job, but this movie was almost unbearable to me 😅

This is one of the scenarios where the book is worse. Travis may be bad in the movie, but he's fucking psychotic, abusive, an OBSESSIVE stalker, and incredibly emotionally manipulative. Honestly I have no doubt if pushed to it Travis could murder someone out of jealousy

And the thing is i love those kind of books. But this book is sold as a regular contemporary romance rather than dark romance. That's the problem with these kinda book adaptions. The stories which should be under the dark category, are being made into movies like they are romantic.

This felt like someone read the book 15 years ago and decided to make a movie about what they remembered.
The actress looks like if you took the actress of after and tried to recast her from memory. And the fact that Dylan is in this movie makes me think that this is an alternate universe where Trevor is basically harden and he gets tessa. This is now cannon and we’re living in the after multiverse
