Owning dogs, you have to train and socialize them properly, specially the bigger breeds.
Altough, in my experience, belgan malinois, while being smaller, also have a worse temperament than german sheperds. Vicious little things.
But for the average person that doesnt have the time to train their dogs properly and still wants a big one, just get a Retriever specially a golden. No brainer.

Yeah they’re an animal. You have to train them, especially the more aggressive breeds. They’re working dogs, it’s not that they’re inherently evil or something they have instincts for. Mules are this way. A mule is bred from an horse and donkey to work and to keep the herd safe so if it sees a dog it will kick it to death. You can socialize them and get them used to your dogs so they don’t murder your animal but that is an instinct they have for a reason to protect your livestock from coyotes, foxes, wild dogs and the like. It’s on the owner to train them. If you’re not good with animals maybe get a dog that is easier to train there is plenty about even in shelters. It’s why I have a small easy to train elderly dog 😂 if he doesn’t listen he has no teeth 😅 and is so goddamn friendly/socialized he probably try to make friends with someone attempting to eat him.

I was invited to a New Years Eve party a couple of years ago by a friend who was going to a couples house that had a fairly large night arranged. All was cool and when we got there we were shown and seated at their lounge area and given welcoming drinks - nice.
Things took a turn when the woman who lived there wanted us to meet her dog. A 80lb grey "hippo" as she called it. She goes to open a door and this fucking beast just jolts in nearly tipping her over. If she said that she had just given it methamphetamine I would've believed her. Runs around like it was participating on a racetrack tipping shit all over. Like an elephant in a porcelain shop.
Now, Im sitting down in a couch and this beast somehow thought I was interesting despite me trying my best to ignore it. It goes over to me and I lean back in the couch - trying to ignore it. The dog gets on its back legs and leans in over towards my face and just stares. "She doesnt bite, shes likes you!" she says as the dog is within licking distance from my face.
Ive been around dogs my entire life - this dog wasnt being playful. It was like it was just waiting for one TINY excuse to kill someone.
Worst NYE ever. Got shitfaced fairly early just after dinner and went home.

They behave like modern cultists when it comes to these breeds. I tried to point out to one of these people that XL Bullies were bred from Pitbulls which were bred to be the ultimate fighting dog, and as such they pose a danger to the public. He corrected me with the fact that Pitbulls were bred to fight other dogs and that the instinct to attack people comes from a different breed of dogs that were bred to attack humans, which XL Bullies have a small mix of. He thought that was a rebuttal of my argument that XL Bullies pose a danger to the public.

Bad owners tend to want a dog that looks menacing. They want to intimidate people with the size of their dog... Usually these people train their dog to be aggressive in certain situations... But dogs aren't that smart and sometimes they misread the situation... So basically you should never train a dog to be aggressive... And as far as labradors go, they just aren't often trained to be aggressive, because nobody views them as intimidating, they're instead known for their intelligence... Meaning more people train them to do useful things. That's why there is an imbalance... Because this dog LOOKS intimidating.

There were some police that came and they demonstrated how a police dog is trained. They did the thing where a guy wears a big padding thing around his arm and the dog attacks the arm on command and stops as soon as it's told to etc.
The dog attacked his arm then the policeman shouted and it walked back to him and then he turned to everyone and started talking whilst the dog sat next to him.
The other guy about 30 metres away from him walked past them and away by about 15-20 metres to do something or get something, and the dog suddenly, without warning, just started charging at him.
The guy ran away and the trainer cop had to shout about 4 times before the dog heard him and stopped. If people in the crowd didn't start shouting, the dog would have got him from behind and bit him hard.
Doesn't matter how well any dog is trained, shit can still go down. I think you're the first person online I've seen with a brain, because you're aware of this. People either put 100% of the blame on the owners or the dogs, but it can be either, or both.

@@vasilis23456 It's bad to let them get used to that, a responsible dog owner should have trained them not to do that, even if it's harmless on an adult/when they're young. It lets them develop the bad habit of being allowed to get their mouth around humans which can be disastrous against small children, people who panic and thrash around, or just as the dog gets larger and a stronger bite.

@@vasilis23456ah I often did that with my dogs.
The big german shepard could bite a hardwood beam in 2 within a day if he was bored too long.
Which is absolutely insane for a dog, not even a tennisbal ever lasted for more than 5 minutes with him.
But he was super friendly, derpy and careful withhis teeth.
These pitbulls are so violent that I understand people are often scared of dogs

@@jazzy4830This is why I hate pitbull owners so much. They will do shit like this, and then tell you with a straight face they "trained it properly." They think their dog biting someone is funny until it almost rips a child's arm off. "Oh he didn't mean it, he was just playing!" Is what these heartless $úb-humans would say too.
      DEATH TO ALL PITBULLS!

Golden retrievers have a genetic drive that makes them good retriever dogs.
Bloodhounds have a genetic drive that makes them good trackers.
But oh boy when you imply that a breed that's been bred to shred as many rats in a pit as possible or fight bulls, has a genetic drive to react quickly and aggressively to certain things.

    American Question:
1- What’s White/Black Storm? Is it a UK energy drink or something?
Also, I feel like these dogs were more trained for hunting than they are in a passive environment. Think of like the beagle breed, they were meant to horde sheep and be loud to alert the owners. With these XL Bullies, they’re most likely akin to pit bulls where they were bred for their aggression and power rather than being of help or such.
Not sure how similar XL Bullies are to American pit bulls, but they all the the same “it’s not the breed, it’s the owners” debate at the end of the day

It's cider. Really strong really cheap horrible white cider. There's loads of variants like white lightening, white storm, white star, 3 hammers, I forget the rest now. When I was a teenager 10 -15 years ago it would cost £3 for a big 3 liter bottle of like 12% volume cider. So you were totally smashed before you got to the end of your £3 bottle. Insanely cheap but a high chance you might puke :D

What's worse is that actually owners are most common victims of these dogs, iirc in US close to 60% of pitbull attacks are on their owners or his family members. So much for "but they're so loyal!". Imagine getting murdered by your own dog that you own, care for and feed for 8 years because you sneezed too loud one day.

I'm always terrifed of pitbulls when I'm forced to pass them and their owners on sidewalk. Owners give them enough room for them to do jump on you and they don't muzzle them ever. I saw every second German Shepherd having muzzle (and tbh. it's way more safer breed than pitbull, even if they are used as K9 dogs) while Pitbull owners "forget" their pretty fucking Princess was breed to fight in dog pits so no mercy included if something goes randomly off in their heads...

1:10 indeed, it's also a matter of breed, as tolerance to strangers, energy levels that need to be spent (otherwise they'll start literally tearing things apart) and aggression differ from breed to breed

In the Soviet Union, most got dogs without a breed, from the street, because to get a thoroughbred dog, you had to get a permit and this dog had to be registered, and a person had to be trained to handle a dangerous pet. At the same time, the culture of dog breeding was at a fairly high level, judging by some beautiful species of breeds like the Russian Black Terrier. I don't know how much fewer serious incidents there were as a percentage of the number of dogs at that time, but it seems to me that this is correct. Even my West Highland sometimes scares the shit out of people by grabbing their pants, and I understand how uncomfortable and stressful it is for many to experience this.
