Hey Arun, regarding Numberphile's 301 vid at 5:07, the host, Brady Haran, actually explained what was going on with this on his and CGP Grey's podcast "Hello Internet". It's not so much a mystery but rather CZcams playfully going along with the theme. He was manually contacted by CZcams asking permission if they could stop the counter at 301 to add to the experience of the video while he will have access to the real view count 🙂

At 7:00, CZcams stopped giving out the 50 million custom awards because there are way too many channels hitting 50 million these days. The MrBeast award as well as the Dude Perfect award you used in the video isn't from CZcams, they were 3D printed by Daniel Krafft and gifted to them.
The dude perfect one is also from the same guy

And for a while, you could just download videos.
Another fun fact: yt's age restrictions used to be a warning instead of not allowing underage accounts or others on indigo mode to watch them, they still use the warning, but only in a video that are extremely inappropriate offense according to their guidelines, and instead of using the same warning for videos of suicide or self harm like in the past, they gave them a special warning

4:27 I *REALLY* recommend a browser addon "Annotations Restored for CZcams" - it does one simple thing - re-add annotations to videos that originally had them (before youtube dropped them, there was a massive effort to back up all of the annotations, and a very very big majority, even on less popular videos is backed up)
This is a must when watching older videos, especially the interactive ones where you could make choices by clicking annotations in video. (and also corrections ppl added to their videos like he said in the video)

Speaking of the lofi hip hop stream, this isn't the first time this happened to them. The reason the stream was 2 years long and not longer was because this happened multiple times. One of those times happened before the 12 hour limit was set, so they had a video of the full stream, thousands of hours long, uploaded to youtube.
There were a couple of lofi stations I LOVED and they disappeared. 😢

CZcams's Max speed is 4. You need to be on pc or just mobile You gotta go to setting speed settings to the number 2 and then if your on pc click on the video screen if you are on mobile you just tap-holding on the screen

3:48 I agree with this, but i also miss the stars/dislike counter. It makes it way easier to sort out scams/misinformation without having to scroll through the comments. as far as i know, yts algorithm rewards any interaction, whether that is a like or a dislike, a positive or a negative comment. Even if hundreds of thousands of people dislike a video, yt will just see this as hundreds of thousands of interactions and view it as popular and promote it further. If we cant see a bad rating or dislike ratio, its way harder for consumers to tell if something is real
You’re right, and instead of CZcams getting rid of the bots, it got rid of the dislike button. Apparently they “did not see a meaningful difference in viewership”. It’s really stupid in my opinion.

I really miss the old rating system. You knew a video was worth watching even before clicking on it. Now, they don't even let us see the number of dislikes :(
If the video got plenty of views but few likes it usually means that is rather controversial or not liked yet viral...
Dislikes were killed during the pandemic, people happily disliked factually correct videos about lockdowns and mask requirements just because people were frustrated about what they learned in the video, in the same manner, gun control videos were notoriously disliked discouraging others to make videos about inconvenient facts like if people countering misinformation were anti-democracy or something. I would personally disable both the like and dislike buttons as they allow creating a profile about you which can be stolen if Google servers are hacked and used for targeted ads during the election as was already done by Cambridge Analytica. If you cannot provide constructive criticism about why you don't like watched video, your opinion in form of a like or dislike did not matter anyway...
Of course, companies wants all the sweet metadata customers are happily providing them for free despite being well known that metadata are being bought by the governments to avoid law restrictions on citizen spying and were used to decide against which person send a drone airstrike.
Trust me, you can live without a like/dislike button, just imagine the time saved on every youtube video in which CZcamsrs beg you to give them a like, as if begging for a free good rating in a TV show or movie using an actor with a sad puppy face would not be considered completely out of touch with the audience, not to mention that since CZcamsrs learned that more comments mean a better chance of video being promoted in CZcams video suggestions page, nowadays all CZcamsr are seriously interested about your opinion, because of course they are...
@@IonorRea Words. And, I agree with the disabling of both the like and dislike buttons. With just the dislike button disabled, CZcamsrs may think they got a high like/dislike ratio, meanwhile the dislikes are skyrocketing and none of their videos get on the front page. While disabling the dislike button in 2020 because people are stupid and believe in nonsense, neither should have existed in the first place. They serve no real purpose but to put videos on the front page. Do those people that liked get special recognition? No, because then the videos would be about a day long. Likes and dislikes combine together and make the CZcams society fall into shambles.
I've also noticed that people start begging for likes now. What if people don't like the video by the end? Are you gonna cry because you got 149,999 likes instead of the original 150,000? If you don't have a reason that actually exists for disliking a video, that one dislike really didn't make a difference anyway. I won't be nuked, killed, or have my IP leaked because I didn't like a crappy video with blasting audio and a seven year old voice that comes with it.
I agree don't know why CZcams did that that would be so helpful especially if you had your channel then you would be able to know what the vewiers like and dislike
Another thing about CZcams is the paid for feature that lets you continue to listen to videos after you lock your phone used to be standard, CZcams used to just do that before they had any kind of paid features

Actually, I still can do it, and it is because I have no Google services(huawei phone) and because I use Opera. The thing is that Opera has a bar that shows me what video I was watching and the play video buttons. It works nice

Hey, really cool video as usual, but I just wanted to precise, at 6:59, the play button displayed for 50M were not made by CZcams, except for the PewDiePie's one. They were actually made and sent by a CZcamsr named DanielKraft. He did that especially because CZcams decided not to make one anymore for the 50M sub mark.
Was looking to see if anyone had said this because I was about to comment the same thing.

4:48 people don't realize this but developers of websites, apps and games go through alot of work and its to much torturous. Heck even takes a long time to even fix the smallest bugs because when you write a pine of code another problem comes from somewhere else. Even bigger companies give up on fixing very small bugs. Normal people have to understand this.
Me I used to (and still do) make videos and code, and the smallest thing you have to go back and change. It's really annoying.
