I think it's worth noting that Quibi's major marketing angle was that it provided content for on the go, and it debuted during the height of the pandemic when people weren't exactly "going" a lot.
Aye, but even as an idea, its dumb. Its supposed to be bite sized content, but CZcams already does that. Even for TV shows, you could just use any streaming service you're already subscribed to and a majority of them save your place anyway. Not to mention, who the heck needs an entertainment service specifically for small moments in the day.
The final blow was having no way to watch it on a TV at home.

The biggest issue with Stadia was the decision to sell games again for Stadia as for yet another game console.
GFN proves that technical issues, like obvious response lag, are not deal breakers.

Stadia wasnt far from flawless for me….its was the best way play cyberpunk outside if a £2500 pc. The bonus everything was refunded when it went down…so 0 loss for the consumer.

Google Glass wasn't just ahead of its time. It was trying to do things and no one really wanted it to do. I've been working with variations on that to be put in hard hats, and it's constantly a solution looking for a problem and no one wants it for their own use. Our prototypes just sit in their boxes unused because after the demo is over, no one wants to actually use the things.
Can I please have one for my hard hat? Thank you.
@@AgnumMD you don't want it. It's heavy, the battery life is short, the voice commands are slow as all get out, and screen is simultaneously in the way yet too small to really use for anything. The only thing I've ever actually used it for productively has been a team's meeting where we did on the scene reporting to management. There is a reason no one wanted them
@@Benjamin1986980 Dang, I wanted to watch CZcams while I worked.
@@Benjamin1986980 there are a lot of applications for that technology if it can be achieved. There’s a company that offers 3D gps called NextNav. What they offer on the job site is 24/7 worker tracking with 3D modeling. This improves your worker safety when it’s important to know when an area is clear of people. The front of eye interface could display that in real time. Through either imagery or signals. Crane operators, forklift drivers, etc.
The display also could be used to display information to customers, supervisors, or anyone who might need a more detailed experience of the site. You would have to model the area in 3D, there’s cameras for it. You would also need location tracking. But if you were standing in a certain location and facing a certain way. You could create content that would appear for a specified object or area. Then, while the person is on-site, it could infer what they’re looking at. Then give more information through the eye ware. Or if you modeled an area you could insert caution notices/warnings when people approach a certain hazard they might not be aware of. Also requires location tracking.
It may not be wanted by the employee but if you could offer a product that makes work places safer every single crew and workplace will be filled with them regardless of the wearer’s opinion.
My first thought about google glass was: great! now I can have a real life add blocker. Would've paid for that.

Every time I see the cybertruck window breaking I feel deep sympathy towards the engineers that designed it. Bullet proof glass doesn’t mean unbreakable. Actually it is meant to break down and take the force of the impact and stop the bullet.
Yeah, that's what I thought as well. There was a promotiom years ago by 3M (the makers of everything adhesive related) where they shielded an actual $1M dollars between two panels of their new security glass at a bus stop terminal. People went ballistic on it with sledgehammers, rocks, trying to chip it off the bolts, and nothing made the glass give before the technicians went on to repair it. Yeah, the glass was cracked and splintered real nasty like the cybertruck, but it did as it advertised, _prevented people from taking the money._
I think the company should've just made several videos of them shooting at it like many weaponry channels nowadays do, and show the test dummies and the interior of the car being intact. Altho tbh, I thing the worst flaw of their truck was that ugly polygonal design. Looked like something the Army would bid money on, not your average consumer.
It would have worked, had Musk been smart and put in Black Metal panels. It was a "stage truck"(also a copy of a Chevrolet El Camino or Ford Ranchero style...so the car/truck>so this style has been done & not popular- not really a car and not really a truck)
so no one could not see that it was painted METAL instead of see through glass. So he could have tossed a 5 pound lead weight at the "window" and not break it. Use 1/2" steel plate.
Otherwise use a RUBBER BALL that doesn't bounce(cuz it is GLASS) Just paint the ball silver so it is the "illusion" it is made of metal.
@@glidershower The money was fake. Only the bills on top were real.
@@glidershower Great points, instead of throwing a large steel ball at it (of course that's going to break any glass), they should have shot it, maybe inside of a well armored enclosure, and showed the dummies inside still unharmed. And yes, it's hideous. I've seen memes with the truck that say, "This is when your 1st grade drawings of a truck come to life.". It reminds me of something from the 1st Robocop movie, or some low budget sci-fi movie from the 80s that's trying to showcase "futuristic" vehicles.
Exactly.

That doesn't sound accurate (Twitter does not have those leanings in general). What it does accurately reflect is the type of stuff that people will say to mess with it. It's obviously pretty funny to get an AI to say ridiculous stuff it was never intended to, think of the whole "Alexa, fart for me" thing.
Whenever multinationals crowdsource things like this, they always get messed with. Sites like 4chan will latch onto it and do their best to get a reaction by doing something that would obviously offend people, especially if it looks bad for a company that tries to pander and act woke normally.
Imagine having an editor pre order 2 😂
i was in hawaii during the missile text...my entire school went into underground bunkers and prayed for our lives.
Ah yes Tay. The real life Ultron that we almost made before Ultron was a thing. 🤣
Damn sjws kill anything that is remotely fun
It failed because they let it lose on the internet, it doesn’t reflect human norms and how would you expect the AI to learn human norms from it.
You realize Ultron was in comics waaaaaaaaaaay before 2010... right?

@@acegaming2892 not even that, the age of ultron movie was released in 2015, a year before tay was put on twitter
“hoverboards weren’t a fail! they were popular!” so was radiation in makeup and the entire existence of Radithor way back when.
Hoverboards didn’t rot hundreds of women’s lower jaws off.
Hoverboards aren’t dangerous for anyone that can walk and chew gum.
@@Heywoodthepeckerwood They are if you got a "note 7" and it burned your house down, also I'd like to remind you as was pointed out in the video, even a small distraction like say focusing on your job, such as this clip 11:57 resulted in two people failing over.
@@vgamesx1 two people fell over?!?!? Oh noooooooo!!!!!
@@Heywoodthepeckerwood I shouldn't need to explain it, but I was pointing out how just being near somebody else could get you hurt, not saying that two people falling over is a big deal...

NO WAY :O
The worst part about the Missile Alert was everyone's phones going off at once. Made your hair stand on end. 38 minutes is a long, long time. There was no where to go, no where to hide. It was very intense. Afterward, my brother was going to write a play about different people confessing secrets, "I've cheated on you", " I ate the last piece of chocolate", wish he had.
Well it beats sirens going off I suppose. At least we know the end of the world will be presaged by a text message
that actually sounds really interesting! i’m really sorry you had to go through that traumatic event but i would love to see the play that would have sprung from it if he ever changed his mind.
