Installing a VDO Continental Radio in a Porsche 944 Turbo

Just ordered one for my '84. What do you suggest I buy for the harness to connect into the vehicle? Or can I run with with comes with the radio? I purchased mine from amazon as well.

Yes the buttons should light up.

you need to connect the "illumination" wire going to the radio. Tap into the ash tray lamp wiring.
