Thanks for this video. I picked up a Chevy '55 210 with a 5.3 Vortec. It has the same LS1 manifold and throttle body. I'm still learning what I have on my hands, so walking through these differences helped.

Idle Air Control or IAC sensor is the name of that sensor

I just switched to drive by cable the drive by wire intake is different although the bolt pattern is the same there isnt a provision for the IAC air flow my motor idles at 3000rpm with throttle plate closed
Great info! I'm looking to a dbw to dbc conversion on a 2009 LY6 for my 95 c1500 truck. Do you know of a dbc bracket that will bolt up to the stock truck intake from the LY6? Will this one in the video work?
I'm not sure as I've never messed with Gen 4 intakes. I'd assume there isn't because none of those ever came with dbc as far as I know.
Could you put a stiff spring on your throttle body?

I’m doin a swap from the 5.3 to 6.0 n I have a air nipple on the intake n putting my cable wire throttle body on my new 6.0 that has another air nipple so can I cancel one or I have to go bk to my other intake

I’m trying to find more info on this, currently doing a 6.0 swap on my 01 5.3 Tahoe. My Tahoe has cable and the 6.0 is by wire (03 Escalade) and I want to keep the cable on the 6.0

what part number is your throttle cable?
Did you have to get the pig tails for the ait and tps sensors or how did you do that wiring part?
ACDelco sells connectors with generous length of wire. Note; new are white wires that work to correct terminal cavity. Then twist, solder and shrink tube. Best to get salvaged harness wire back to PCM and note the location in connector. Not hard as the connector comes apart and held in with plastic fingers. Use masking tape on the wires, write location like "Green 61" as PCM has two colors and terminals are marked.
Did you ever have a random idle drop? Down an up down then shut off coming to a stop it random ?

DBW? That sounds more like a MAF sensor issue, vacuum leak, or the throttle body isn't working correctly.

Yeah but if you switch to drive by cabel feom drive by wire will you have to change the reluctor wheel 24x 58× exc.
No... 24x is Gen 3 and 58x is Gen 4. There's a very rare few Gen 3 that are 58x.
