Just wanted to say thank you for your videos! I love the first time perspective as I am not a professional mechanic and seeing someone do it for the first time and the hiccups is educational. It also makes me not feel so dumb when I don’t do things right the first time. I’ve been watching for a while all the way from Michigan! Actually looking into getting my first trike and your videos make me feel more confident with no only riding but maintenance as well. Keep it up! 🤘🏻

I always change plugs on anything when they are slightly warm, (except lawn mowers) as its less likely to pull threads out and less likely to break the plugs.

In 55 years of cars and motorbikes , Series 1 Morris Mini to 2021 Toyota , BSA 125 Bantam to 2015 Yamaha 900 Tracer and 2013 BMW 1200 GS LC I have never heard of thermal paste used on spark plugs. I have it used on computer components C.P.U.
However, "Rotax say use a heat transfer paste, NGK say don't lubricate. Conceivably they could both be right?" Still love your videos. Paul.

You made me very nervous, not a good idea to leave the hold down bolt with the wire, it was bouncing around when pulling the coil. With the plug out it could find it's into the cylinder and be a real bugger to get out with a magnet. Keep up the good work, I am enjoying your videos. With electronic ignition, spark plugs should last at least 50k miles. I have a 1984 Chevy pickup that is recommended to get new plugs every 50k miles. I think Can-Am's service period recommendations are a little excessive.

thermal paste used on spark plugs is not for the threads. Its to put in the boot that goes on the spark plug to help keep water and fluids away from the tips of the spark plug top. You mikght have a problem taking out the plugs the next time. and it might ruin the spark plug holes. I would contact Can-am and ask.
