    Pro tip: if somebody doesn’t have the extra muscle to help them, a longer ratchet bar or even a pipe on the end to extend the length with reduce the amount of work required. “Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world.” -Archimedes. • @RykerRydes
      @RykerRydes  Před 2 lety

      The shock adjusters are really meant for heavy riders or those riding with a passenger. First thing, check your tire pressure. If they are correct, then you may want to invest in a Baja Ron (anti) Sway bar. I sell them on my etsy site if you are interested.

    • @RykerRydes
      @RykerRydes  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes and no. The red knob (damping) adjusts the shock (outside part) so you aren't bouncing around, whereas the spring adjustment that I did, adjusts the preload (the stiffness of the spring). They are 2 different things. But both are adjustable. Definitely consult with your manual.

    Retired automotive engineer here, Changing the spring seat cam only changes the ride height and the distance to bottoming. It should only be increased if you have enough weight on board to cause bottoming, then it is most helpful. If you never bottom the shock, you are only changing ride height. Changing the rear ride height also reduces the effective caster in the front suspension, making steering lighter, but also reducing steering feedback and that is maybe what so many are talking about when they use the word "feel".
