    This is the first Summer Transfer window for Newcastle United, Eddie Howe, and their new billionaire owners. So we should expect some significant signings. But if the January transfer window is anything to go by, they know they should be signing Stepping-Stone players. So who should Newcastle sign to upgrade their squad and take them to the next stage of their development?

    Pulisic is fast, tenacious and works hard. He’d fit in really well at Newcastle and I’d love to have him. However, with his injury record so bad we just can’t afford it. Wilson is incredibly injury prone and Saint-Maximin has missed a lot of games for us too. If we signed Pulisic we could quite easily lose our entire front 3 to injury, I’m not sure that’s wise.

    Good video again tifo cheers! NUFC fan here. I think Mousa Diaby would be awesome. But greedily I want a Brazilian trio adding Lyon’s Paquetta to the mix with Bruno and Joelinton. Shame about Ekitike but i think a quick cf 25 or younger who is not injury prone would be good to have. I think Wood can do a job without being prolific. He’s not going to bring goals but the midfield\wingers can grab goals from knock downs. Wilson quality when he plays but don’t know if he will manage more than 25 games. I’d be happy with Diaby and Paquetta in this transfer window on top of the brilliant target/pope/botman signings then go all out for a cultured cf in January/ next summer.

    As a Newcastle fan a striker and right winger are our priorities. We're okay at Centre Back.
    The problem we have is Wilson is our only proven goalscorer and is usually only fit half a season. Wood doesn't provide goals, so we need someone who does. We've been linked with Isak today, who would cost a bomb, but would appear to be a good long term option as striker and can compete with Wilson. Diaby/Pulisic would be amazing, but we won't splash money on both a striker and a right winger. I think we'll get a loan for one of the positions.

    So far, Newcastle did the quite improvement when it comes for transfers in both regards to stepping stones players and long term players from the winter transfer, but yes a player like Kehrer could be a good choice, but he would have to settle for a year with no champion's league. They could also try Pau Torres as he proved to be quite a defender in the left side where he provided an average of 3.1 clearances a match. Could you also maybe upload a serie A version let's say Juventus (my team yes). As the rumours are just too much and I would want an honest opinion even due to the fact of our problems in the defence area, or maybe an addition to the midfield area. Great content by the way :)

    Pulisic is on a weekly salary of £150k, way outside our existing wage structure and cost Chelsea £58m, a good chunk of which they would presumably want back - about the same as Diaby's asking price for much less attacking output. No mention of a striker given a clear need for goals and Wilson's fragile hammies either. Tifo and phoned in Newcastle content - an iconic duo.

  • @davidoliver3528

    I don't think we will be playing counter attacking football mostly next year. High intensity pressing high up pitch is most likely against better teams, check Chelsea performance last season for that blueprint. Think we will have a lot of the ball next season in most games

  • @wowski13
    @wowski13 Před rokem

    I found the Pulisic suggestion very interesting but can't imagine Chelsea letting him go, especially with new American owners. I definitely can't see any further investment in Newcastle's defence this season however. Schar and Lascelles are very capable in the RCB position and there's no reason why Botman couldn't play there also. There are plenty of teams that play two right footed CBs. With Botman's technical ability there's no reason Newcastle couldn't play two predominantly left footed CBs. I would argue that a Striker or a Central Midfielder with an eye for goal would have a far greater impact to the squad. Willock's form has been inconsistent and Wilson's fitness issues mean that both those roles could be strengthened in the squad.

    Kehrer and Pulisić? Damn, this time I don't agree at all with Tifo haha, I don't like neither of them.
    Kehrer, for starting, is seriously error prone, gets sent off quite a bit or at least gets constant yellow cards and there's a reason why they only showed his progressive passing stats and not defensive ones. He hasn't progressed at all since joining QSG.
    Then, Pulisić has been underwhelming with Chelsea and the USMNT, he might create a chance here and there but he's not clinical at all and quite injury prone.
