In this Sensible Transfers series, In this series, we will analyse teams, identify problem areas, and suggest solutions in the form of incoming players.
Arsenal are, still, a team in transition. This season they have made significant progress, and at times show real cohesion. They’ve excelled when playing the teams below them, but struggled against teams above them in the league. So who could Arsenal sign that will take them to the next level?
Alex Stewart suggests solutions for centre forward, winger, and centre midfielder. Illustrated by Marco Bevilacqua.

Odd that you said the central midfielder is the least important of the 3, I think I speak for all Arsenal fans when I say its definitely the most needed position right now.
Finding a new CF is most important, but I would put DM and RW as equally important since both are about finding new cover for our starters. Arteta seems to have no inclination of playing Pepe, and Saka can't afford to play every game. It'll tear on his body and make him prone to injury. And obviously we need a new DM to either start or cover for Xhaka/Partey/Lokonga
They also picked the wrong Lyon CM. We also already have cover on the right for Saka from Pepe. A strangely out of touch video by Tifo.
ya bc the midfield doesnt score goals now does it
@@TheAquaSolution see this is where I feel that Laca and Pepe could play as the front two, with Odegaard's work rate complimenting Sambi's holding role in the central areas.
Allow White and Gab to spray the passes from the back and O8 working with ESR/Tierney/Martinelli making quick 1-2s through the midfield if that option is limited. Pepe playing through the middle as a no 10 gives him the opportunity to showcase how he can hold the ball at the final third. He also has a good record of headers, winning almost all of his headers playing on the wing. His understanding with Laca will be much better and he can always drift to the wing to support the right side, as what O8 usually does.
Shahid Nyker Pepe is done. easy to see he’s not wanted.
Tomiyasu have not been "reliable" he has been outstanding. His two-footed qualities and eager to attack had allowed Arsenal to play a different football this season.
you shouldn't take being called reliable a slight, that's probably one of the best compliments a defender could be given, Tomiyasu gives us a real sense of comfort on the ball and when someone is attacking his flank, he is someone the team can lean and rely on.
Incredible signing
@@gugestein also TIFO being salty spurs fans
He is a sight for sore eyes after the likes of Bellerin.
We almost played Kolasinac in midfield the other day and you think that's the least important area to strengthen?
Once the players return from AFCON it won't be a priority
Well if Joelinton could have a second coming as a central midfielder, then Kola can surely reinvent himself as a midfield destroyer and potentially become our long sought after Viera replacement.
@@prayaaskochhar8783 Kolasinac reinvent himself to become the next Vieira? You joking right? Not that he's already 28 which is probably not the ideal age to reinvent yourself as a player but also he doesn't have the characteristics to make the transition into becoming a central midfield and Arsenal's midfield problems let alone becoming the next Vieira
Shows tifo knowldge to be fair , looks nice but no practical use
@@mdnurilaiman2126 Yeah, i was joking. But honestly tho, its not like impossible to do it, Kompany at RSC Anderlecht turned Sergio Gomes from an Attacking Midfielder to a Left Back having 15 goal contributions in 20 league games.
And as far as the age factor goes, Adel Taraabt was Flair Player winger with no end product at QPR and Tottenham but has been turned into a beast CDM for benfica and this happened at around 28 or 29 only.

they need goals to win
Tomiyasu has been much more than just reliable…
He’s disgusting slept on because he doesn’t play flashy. He puts out great performances weekly. So strong defensively, smart, two footed and looking dangerous moving forward
He has been consistently one of our best players
He’s been our best signing, don’t like how they don’t credit him enough
Until we move Pepe on, I don't think right forward is a position of priority. I'd like us to look into a RB to understudy Tomiyasu. This and next window CM and CF is the clear priority. In the summer Leno will likely leave so GK will be on the agenda as well.
they should have made mat ryan permanent last summer
So bad that Pepe is such a flop otherwise we wouldnt have to worry about another position
@@Justin-ml8id tbf to pepe he hasnt been given any chances this season
@@Justin-ml8id yeah if I think about it, I just get bummed out. We really need to move him on in the summer and cut our losses. But until then, it's folly to spend a huge amount on another RW
you dont know anything about soccer. If you did you would know they need a back up to Laca
I agree everything except for CM is actually the most wanted at the moment. Lokonga is not really an established player and can be error-prone. My sensible choice would be, Isak, and Bruno Guimarães. Bruno G is such a baller.
Lacazette leaving in summer and the current status of Auba and you think CM is more important than CF?
@CRISPNDRY Laca will stay at least untill the end of this season. Sad to say but Auba doesn't affect our performance anyway. Gabi can play as an interim striker, and there is Eddie. Whereas in midlefird, currently African players are all out , and Xhaka is recovering from Covid, we literally only have Patio and Lokonga in CM. We play Liverpool twice and Tottenham away this month. In terms of urgency CM is more important. I mean I am not denying the need for acquiring a new striker, but rather talking about which one comes first.
@@Ponzu310 making an emergency signing right now then mdifield would be most helpful. however, in 2 games time when African players return and hopefully Xhaka as well, there will be a starting cm for each position and a backup. whereas striker you have laca + 4 to fill the 3 positions behind. with Xhaka and Partey staying over summer and Laca leaving, I feel like CF is most important to sign considering there will not be a starting CF at the club come summer (unless Martinelli is converted to CF). Either way both positions are needed, as well as backups for both right sided positions.
Love this series but this was certainly one of the weaker sensible transfers. Not necessarily in the picks (though it needs a little more in depth stats like there used to be) but the actual knowledge of the situation at Arsenal.
For example: CM/CF is a clear priority ahead of wide players. Partey/Lokonga are not the midfield pair - Partey and Xhaka are and Tomiyasu has been so, so much better than just "reliable".
yeah this was the first one to really miss the mark
I kinda liked when they backed their statements (progressive passer, or strong tackler) with the stats. It feels more "robust"
@@elvernaranjo1773 agreed. I also just disagreed with their prioritisation. There's no way a RW is more important than a midfielder rn. Also, there's no chance of Kulusevksi being a bench warmer to Saka, nor of Saka shifting to the left. Complete lack of regard of realism in the transfer suggestion and understanding in how arteta's system functions
Also, why are they advocating signing Isak on the basis that he shouldn't play alongside Martinelli? Arsenal need both their new 9 and Martinelli to be on the pitch
Not gunner fan, just imho CM always plague your team, it's the top priority. You can do without a good CF temporarily with a striker-less tactic like Man C, or relying other positions to score like Chelsea, but without a good CM, your midfield always get bullied. Also playmaker like Odegaard needs a good consistent physical midfielder as support. Xhaka is more temperamental than reliable, Partey is the only best DM. Also try imagine if you have a steady pivot like Declan Rice.
Arsenal needs a good CM, so the pick for this position ofc is Ibrahim Sangaré!
Normally I would say yes. I think Tifo sees him too similar to Partey though. Although Sangare is more defensive.
Rumors here in the Netherlands are that Newcastle are going in big for him this winter. Which seems like a good transfer for them. Since he is on fire this season.
If Isak and Kulusevski are paired together it would do wonders in building the Swedish national team. They have played against and with each other for years in Stockholm, so it would be great to see them side by side progressing.
Add in Svanberg, and the Swedish national team is suddenly Arsenal.

As a Swede, how can I not like this video when you pick 2 swedes and one honorable mention? That made me happy.
I think Vlahovic might be better than Isak, but I think Isak fits better in arsenals playstyle. We'll see!
Isak's experience with Ödegaard along with his exceptional link-up play edges it for me.
@@lukas-mu3wq That's a very thin reason to like Isak. I haven't seen Isak much but as the video says Isak likes to start from the left and play in like Auba, yes, we don't need that! We have excellent players in Martinelli and Smith Rowe to play on left. Arsenal needs a tall, ball holding good with possession forward, Laca does the job only thing he isn't tall enough to get in more headers!
@@tyson2810 you just described isak? Vlahovic is good I’m not saying he’s bad but personally I prefer isak because of his link up play and connection with Ödegaard.

@@tyson2810 you have never seen him play have you…
This was so far off the mark it's unbelievable....usually you guys are spot on, but my god this was shocking. Literally no-one has said we need a wide player. We need a CM over a wide player, and we don't need Lyon's Xhaka copycat.
They are roleplaying as Arsenal board.
Agree with the wide player - as in we only need a wide player IF Pepe decides to leave in the summer (which is a possibility). But right now, Saka is clearly the main guy who will never be dropped.
As for "Xhaka's copycat" at Lyon, that's wide of the mark. Caqueret is nothing like Xhaka, he's pressure resistant, a very good dribbler for a CM, technically levels above Xhaka, but isn't physically strong.
I think I’m gonna trust tifo over a guy that thinks a guy in the mould of veratti is a Xhaka copy cat
Was gonna agree until that last statement.
I usually agree with a lot of choices regarding this series but this video just got it all wrong almost, Isak would be excellent for Arsenal but the reasoning and the reasoning for the other choices doesn't make sense att all
Maxence is a quality player. We need a player who can progress the ball, dribble and has a excellent pass. So they got two right.
You hit your head. you dont know what you're talking about
Juve won’t let Kulusevski go now that Chiesa is injured
True

Interesting take on signing a Cavani-lite but who is available in that mold?
RW is the least of our concerns currently… kulusevski would be nice to rotate in to RW/AM with ESR and Ode but with Pepe on the books and more pressing positions it just won’t happen.
Starting CM and CF are a must and RB cover should’ve been discussed
Fun fact: both of Tifo's reccomended attackers are Swedish

Spoiler alert
Damn, watching this after the transfer window shut and Kulusevski went to Spurs is tough. Scored on his first start in a win over Man City
How is central midfield the least important position? IMO, that position is probably where Arsenal need to strengthen the most. They need to upgrade on Xhaka and find someone who can control the middle and provide an elite passing range. The day they upgrade that position will be the day when Arsenal become top 4 favourites.
They’re massively overrating Lokonga. I agree he’s a solid prospect but no where near the level to be starting now, I’d even play Xhaka over him and I’m not a Xhaka fan
yes
Rightly said!
i still don't understand why they loaned out AMN when Partey and Elneny is going to AFCON, they only have Lokonga and Xhaka now.
@@homoerectus3355 on point we do need an upgrade on xhakha, but ge has been our best midfielder for sometime. Lokonga had a good game against Aston villa and a decent first half against Liverpool. He has a lot of developing to do. CM is an area of concern because of parteys inconsistency and the lack of numbers in CM. Elneny, guendouzi, AMN, Lucas will be gone come summer. We need at least two CM in the summer
caqueret is a very interesting option for arsenal seeing as he would suit a regista role well enough. personally though bruno guimaraes would be ideal as he can almost anchor the midfield - allowing partey to progress and performing that regista/destroyer role which emulates that of marcelo brozovic at inter.
Bruno could play box to box as well a bit like xhakha has been used off late. Caquerette has a very high ceiling but could be a risky signing. I think Yves bissouma would be a brilliant signing as he can both anchor and play as a box to box midfielder. Plus he wouldn't need to adapt to the league
Bruno's strength are his dribbling/conservation of the ball and his progressive passes into final 1/3 (see his magnificent assist to Paqueta on Sunday). He needs to be surrounded by bulkier / stronger players
@@DAFTnYOUNG he is also solid defensively. Decent at tackling as well averaging 2.3 per game in ligue 1. Reminds me of Pettit solid distribution, creative passing and decent defensively. But the transition to the prem would be challenging. Caqueret is fantastic presser
@@philipkuriachen5595 Arteta probably wants someone who can do xhaka can do but at much greater level and someone more agile. Don’t think Bissouma is that guy
@@micah0190 bissouma could be a potential replacement for partey...plus he has looked when playing the big boys. He does not give away the ball cheaply and pretty good with his duels. Partey has been suspect defensively. The one glaring error in bissoumas game is his tendency to over comit
Loving the badge designs, as they REALLY hit home the feeling and understanding of the players. Great work design artist!
Fun to watch this one as a Swede
“They really need help retaining possession in the midfield!”
“that’s why we recommend a forward and a wide attacker”
If anything I’d think CM is the most important position for us to address
How is Auba still here.
If they do actually get Isak. Damn. He'd be excellent. He's away from the 'hype' mainly because he's away from the PL, playing in England he's gonna get a lot of praise. Brilliant player.

@@adp2papablue oh he's got no reason mate.

I've heard he's just a taller version of nketiah
A rare video from tifo that lacks the insight we expect, due to afcon midfield is the priority then striker and then left wing if anything

Thank you, been waiting for this episode since the “sensible transfer” series had started
In fairness to Tifo, most teams’ defence starts with the attack - so it was reasonable to suggest that a CF is the most important position. A dual-fold purchase, someone who is good at attacking whilst also able to press and rotate with the wingers. It also provides cover for the central area of the pitch, which Tifo determined was an area of concern for Arsenal.
Love to see your take on West Ham, close to continuing our battle for back to back Europe qualification and this January window has got to be perfect
The video we've all been waiting for!
I love these videos but it feels like no one has really watched Arsenal for this video. I rate Lokonga highly but he's not there yet in terms of influence or ability and he's not pushing Xhaka or Partey for a starting spot. An immediate upgrade on Xhaka is our priority along with a Striker, and we need someone like Bruno Guimares who can progress and retain the ball while being defensively competent.
True true
Been waiting for this for ages..!!
6:26 That illustration was awesome!
I love that three swedes are talked about in this video and two considered to join the Arsenal side 🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪
As an Arsenal admirer, the "Midfield is the least important position" statement just blocks my mind .. the midfield IS the key area, now Partey is on AFCON and Lokanga still not fiding his feet. I'd say someone like Like an attacking minded DM will be greatly appreciated .. my pick is Franck Kessié .. since his contract is ending this summer, this might be the perfect setting for him to leave AC Milan and join EPL.
Attack minded dm? Does that exist? Also Kessie is a bbm or a free 8 when paired with bennacer
i badly want isak, possibly over vlahovic for price reasons and that odegaard connection, but both i would be ecstatic to have
Same, but I just want to see isak and saka on the same line. Might be a problem if you're dyslexic
Agree with you both, Vlahovic is so robotic and lacks the agility to excel in the Prem from watching him a few times. Also, remember that Lukakaku was a free-scoring forward in that league and look at him now. I'd go for Isak as there is a higher sealing, having said that we do need cover in the midfield area, Lokonga's error lead to that Nottm Forest goal.
Ask yourselves this, do you see Isak performing well against a low block team as the focal point and striker ? …Arsenal want to be a big club again, as our play progresses , more and more teams will set up defensively against us….if we sign Isak, are we signing another forward that will end up playing left wing because his game isn’t suited to be the main striker? Will we then have to sign yet another striker to compensate?
@@Iamcruddy1 totally agree with you, 100%. my heart wants isak but we would probably suffer the same problems we have with auba, he just doesn't fit with artetas desired style of play. we need a target, a poacher, a finisher. i can't help but prefer isak but vlahovic is probably the smarter choice
Same, Isak has worked great with odegaard before and Vlahovic is getting mighty expensive.
I don't think arsenal need another right winger I still think Pepe is still a strong back up for saka
Agreed 👍
I guess arsenal are planning to off load him...we have a couple of good kids coming from hale end, Omari Hutchinson, Tyler hart would like to see them get a chance. RW is not that problematic but saka seems to be playing quite alot of games at a young age
Pepe probably won't want to be a backup player for much longer though so someone younger would be better if Pepe will leave

I would love to see Swedens national team in Arsenal :) Isak, Kulusevski and Svanberg
Your missed RB cover. More important right now than 2 attacking options. Isaak, guimeres and a RB cover. That would be amaze balls Jan window!
Least important? Central midfield is the most important right now, we saw against Nottingham Forrest how weak they were, the two midfielders hid away, both seemed scared to play football against lets face it a much weaker team. With partey at afcon it makes the need for midfielders even more important than ever!
Imo, best series on CZcams
The problem with Alex isak is he has never scored or had combined goal contributions more than 20. Although he is good with link up play, dribbling and shots on goal, that doesn’t clarify he’s a good striker. The sole purpose of a striker is to receive and score. David was originally a cam/cf so has to link up play because that’s the job of a cam/cf. isak might be good in a cam/cf role but I don’t think that’s a risk they should take. Kulusevswi is good my bad. 😏😏

As an arsenal supporter, I'm pretty excited to see what Mikel and Edu plans to do over this and the coming summer transfer window!
Edu has done a terrible job, he hasn't been able to sell anyone
@@adzarsenal39 I meant to say in terms of incoming players. And yes, I agree, he hasn't been able to do a good job when it comes to selling unwanted players in the team.
No club has done a good job of selling unwanted players in the pandemic. It’s a foolish thing to knock Edu on. He smashed it with the incomings last summer. He’s growing into his role.
@@duaneswaby622 it's definitely not a foolish thing to judge him on, he's the Technical Director you melt. And it's rubbish to say that other clubs have struggled to sell players. Chelsea have sold the likes of Abraham, Giroud and Guehi and made good money. Meanwhile Edu's tactic has been either loan deadwood out with no option to buy, meaning they'll just end up back in a year (Guendouzi, Bellerin, Torreira, etc) or actually pay players to terminate their contract (Mustafi, Sokratis, Ozil, Willian). Meanwhile his failure to sell the likes of Laca and Nketiah in the summer means we're gonna lose 2 strikers for free that we could've easily made £40m from.
Also, his recruitment has gone well sure, but don't think he's handled negotiations particularly well. Remember how long he was haggling with Atletico for Partey, then on deadline day we just paid his release clause because he couldn't get them to lower the price. So yes I will judge him on all those things, his job is to handle the recruitment AND the sales of players. So for you to deliberately ignore half of his role is ridiculous pal
This guy wrote an essay. Big goof energy
Tifo's standards have fallen big time. Sensible transfers used to be the best but now they just go for the popular choices and don't even discuss stats properly! It's like not much effort is being put into this and it's rather sad because I was waiting for this Arsenal special but very disappointed!
Bro the 2019 ones are so goated they used to go so in depth
So Tifo just assumed that Nicolas Pepe doesn't exist when they said that a Saka backup was needed?
Scamacca is actually a pretty good choice imo. I follow Serie A a lot, and i say if Arsenal don’t buy Vlahovic they should go for Scamacca. Some of the goals he’s scored this season are unbelievable, he’s so good on the ball and he looks genuinely hungry for goals. Every time he hits the ball he hits it with a lot of power. Good choice Tifo
Isn’t Fiorentina getting Scamacca as a replacement for Vlahovic?
I was wrong. They’re signing Basel striker, Arthur Cabral.
Saka isn't leaving anytime soon and pepe is a reliable backup.
that is not what he meant. And for 72m he should be starting and not be on the bench
Saka needed elsewhere I think they mean on the left and not leaving the club. So a RW is needed for that
Pepe and saka have been linked with leaving
And we are overeliant on saka whether u like to admit it or not
reliable is a strong word.
That icon choice for combative at 2:45 reminds me of Costa and then seconds later Suarez comes in
Thank You Tifo I've been telling all my friends about Scamacca.
Really interesting. Thanks
Andrea belotti and ivan toney are also good shouts for cf role
Finally they make an Arsenal video after ages.
Would love to see a Brighton version of this!
I really rate Caqueret, hope this has some influence on proceedings
I think you really missed it with this one. Arsenal don't need a wide player at the moment, the most important area right now is probably a starting CM who is a creative passer and can defend, then a young CF who is prolific and can get involved in the build up play and a backup RB to cover for Tomiyasu. The only one I'd say you got right was Isak, but even then, you suggested he would start on the left when Martinelli is consistently playing there.
"Arsenal need goals against big sides"
Also "We'll recommend all the players who need to up their goal scoring"
Usually love this series but not sure about the picks, CM is priority, then ST, then probably an LW.
I'd go for Bruno Guimaraes, Dusan Vlahovic and someone like Allan Saint-Maximin (doubt we'd ever be able to sign him from Newcastle but it'd be a dream).
Central Midfield is actually very important for Arsenal and they need a carrier as much as they do a passer. They also need a wide attacker. All this was obvious in the summer. I wonder if they can do good deals in January, because depth can cost them and have them return to their pre-December creative rut.
We need one for AC Milan, they are resurging but they also need areas to strengthen
I think Milan need to strengthen Back up gk, future striker and a bit more depth
@@thescoutn2967 ALSO CAM
@@souvikdas9399 yeah but we have DÌAZ there. And Kessie has lately been playing there rotating. Daniel Maldini is also a cam so I hope he gets more minutes
Chiesa just got a big injury. So Kulusevsky seems impossible now. Anyway it's pretty obvious they need a CM. Will be hard to add true quality there without breaking the bank in January.
I think that the cm Tifo suggested was decent. Maxence is more of a destroyer but is a decent passer. For striker and winger I would pick Jonathan david and Antony resp. Because david is a versatile player who has shown in Belgium to be a good linkup player and a scorer in Lille. He could improve on his aerial duels, spg and key passes but overall he is a good player👍🏽 Antony is perfect for that right side. Good spg, dribbling per 90 and key passes all close or above 2 a game. He’s agile and can wiggle his way through players and he is decent finisher. He’s also a good presser and is comfortable with the ball (obviously he’s footballer) and occasionally knows when to dribble and when to pass. He’s also versatile and play on the left and as a striker. Him and david combined would cost close to £100 million but if arsenal want qualification to ucl I think these are better.
central midfield is the most important position we need to strengthen in lol we only have xhaka and elneny there while afcon is on. after that its strikers. but kudos for suggesting chucky lozano, id die of happiness if he joined arsenal
I'm agree about your opinion sensible transfer
isak & Dejan still young & versatile
Kulusevski and Isak have also played great as a perrnership in the national team
Chucky Lozano to Arsenal screams Carlos Vela flashbacks where he would shine but never get a chance
I would say Center Mid is probably more important than the wide forward since Arsenal have Pepe who isn't necessarily great but is good enough to give cover to Saka. Their midfield though is incredibly thin. Partey is in AFCON, Elneny is too and is not good enough, Lokonga is not ready to be a regular starter and Xhaka will be either sent off or give away a penalty because his brain only works in 15 minute increments with an hour break in between.
We really need to strenghten in the midfiel. And i really like Caqueret and would love it if we actually get him but it seems like the arsenal board is looking elsewhere unfortunatly
Feel like edus been watching these....good for us
Dude Bissouma is a must..in midfield
He's on bail. Until that gets cleared it's unlikely anyone would get him
As a Swedish Arsenal fan I would love to see Isak and Kulusevski at the club. They carried the Swedish national team with the help of Forsberg.
Well CM is probably their biggest area of concern.
Tolisso would be a perfect CM fit, he could start along side Partey, Lokanga / Xhaka In the rotation.
Laca is their Cavani at the moment but assuming they'll sell Abu, then yes Isak is probably the best long term replacement.
As for RW, Saka has that on lock down, so they would probably need to sell Pepe... I would go for Rebic from Milan, who can play across the line, rw/LW and st and on top of that Nelson comes back from loan
CM to complement partey is key, a striker can wait until the summer.
surprised to not see bruno guimaraes on this list. he's put up some very remarkable numbers this season and played very well in the olympics.
I think Tchouameni would be the perfect guy for Arsenal. Physical, hard working; but also has good technique and passing ability. For center forward, I'm really not sure about Vlahovic although he seems like the biggest candidate. He can be an excellent striker, but he isn't exactly a good fit for the Premier League. Serie A's low tempo helps pivot forwards like Lukaku and Vlahovic to shine while the Premier League requires more pace and/or technical skills. Isak looks like a better fit, even though his ceiling isn't as high as Vlahovic's.
Kulu sees himself as a central attacker more than he sees himself as a wide attacker. You will notice he always starts as one half of the 2 in Janne Anderssons 4-4-2, almost always alongside Isak. I doubt he would accept a move that would see him play out wide.
my thoughts:
CF: Splash on Isak, then gamble on another to compete for Balogunnnner
RW: Saka, rotate with Martinelli. Pepe can alleviate as well. Wait for Reiss to come back
CM: Splash on Bissouma, Ndidi, and steal Gallagher without anyone knowing
Although I would say midfield is more important that a winger, these were truly sensible transfers
Very surprised not to hear Vlahovic nor Bissouma mentioned
Tifo really pushing swedish players in this video had me laughing.
I kinda expected them to throw in a CB recommendation too and pick Granqvist or Lindelöf.
So Isak to Newcastle, Scamacca to west ham and Kulusevski to Spurs. All in the Premier League.
Scamacca is a great shout tbh
This is so crazy because last year i played arsenal on fm and literally did the same thing, dejan at the right and isak at centre forward, and they actually won the prem lol
caqueret is so good. been praying that arsenal get him. would walk into that starting lineup
@TifoFootball please do an Everton sensible transfers
The combative badge 👌🏾👌🏾
When they were talking about “an experienced, street-smart striker with strength and good link up play” all I could think was Giroud!
Should have binned Aubameyang and kept Olivier.
We wouldn't have got auba if giroud was not sold genius. At the time auba way 10x better than giroud
Isak, Kulu and Svanis! Swedish excellence!
I can get behind the Isak and Kulusevski picks, but I think they are off base with the midfield picks and comments. Sangare feels like the obvious player to try to snap up, Gravenberch is class too, but I don't know if they are willing to pay the crazy money required to get Ajax to consider moving him along giving it's not the only move for a regularly starting class player they really need to make. Personally I would love to woo Pellegrini or Milinkovic-Savic over from Serie A but those are both highly unlikely and exorbitantly priced dream signing type picks. That's part of the problem, there aren't many midfielders ~25 or younger that fit the bill for us that are looking to move and/or that clubs are willing to sell for anything less than insane money. The Midfield is definitely coming together steadily but they absolutely need more talent and depth there to compete at the level the fans expect!
3 swedes? Crazy 🤩
