    The situation at Barcelona is far from positive. Calling it a transitional period would be an understatement. There is lots of work to do in the backroom, and lots of work to do with the squad. Tifo takes a look at the areas of weakness, and suggests solutions in the form of players.

      Pique and Umtiti need to leave. We need a better left footed centerback than Lenglet. Conceding 8 goals automatically downgrades you to the bench. Alba is still doing his thing for now and since we don’t have a better replacement I think we should keep him for a couple more seasons. Messi (as much as I love and appreciate him) should leave. It’s what’s best for the club and for him. Busquets should be playing his last season at Barca at the end of the 21/22 season. Griezmann needs to be shown the fucking door ASAP and Coutinho behind him. We need to rejuvenate this squad!

    I disagree with this. Barca do not need more projects/squad players, particularly in midfield. There's no guarantee Weigl is better than Jandro.
    For me:
    - sign Depay
    - if Messi leaves then swap Griezmann for Dybala (or try the same for Lautaro)
    - sell Firpo, get Bernat on a free
    - and if you have get any money, use it on Upamecano's 40m release clause. I'd sell Lenglet, Umtiti, even Mingueza for this.

  • @daiyaanhasan2235
    @daiyaanhasan2235 Před 3 lety +1

    Barca doesn't need any midfielders. We got enough competition going on. Furthermore, recently Koman seems to trust the Barca 3-man midfield with 1 defensive midfielder rather than his earlier preferred 2 pivots. Barca has great prospects in Center Backs as Minguesa and in particularly Arajuo showed their quality. Barca only lacks a clinical finisher with intelligent movement on the box.

  • @karthiksridhar8463
    @karthiksridhar8463 Před 3 lety

    As a Barcelona fan, in terms of striking options I feel Malen will suit us better. Clean finisher and good at link up plays. People say Ansu as a number 9 because of his finishing, but he likes to dribble and move into the box, playing him 9 will restrict him. Depay is another player who I feel likes to operate in the same space as Griezmann, Messi, Pedri and Coutinho... really cannot afford another one like that.
    In terms of CB, Araujo is a solid unit but needs a player who is ball playing and smart next to him. Eric Garcia fits this profile but of course, he is young and has a lot of time to reach his potential. Mingueza from La Masia is also quite good that way, very aggressive ball progression and good at tackling.
    In the CDM role, 100% I think Jandro Orellana is the first priority from Barca B. He's got a superb passing range, can shoot well and works very hard.
    I was hoping to see you include LB in your video because both our options are currently awful. Alba is only good offensively that to, if Messi plays. He's lost the mentality and loses concentration and poor defensive positioning on the flanks. Firpo is just not good enough, because he prefers playing the LWB role, this position doesn't suit him. Balde from La Masia is a great prospect, but is still only 17 and still needs to develop. Who do you think we should go for? Gaya from Valencia has always been on the radar, but he loves Valencia too much to leave even during crisis. Any suitable options?

    my favorite is definitely ayala. his strengths perfectly fit the aspects barcelona's squad is missing in midfield. However, I'm not sure a defensive midfielder is really a good idea in the long run, considering that koeman likely won't be coach for long, and whoever replaces him is likely not to use two defensive pivots in a 4-2-3-1 like koeman has done. Xavi, for example, has been using a 3-4-3 and 4-3-3 with Al Sadd, formations where more well-rounded players like pjanic, riqui puig, and ilaix moriba are more preferable profiles. If Xavi coaches barcelona in the near future, I would bet on him using the 4-3-3 with de jong or busquets as the main defensive midfielder.

    Finally! I am super happy to see Barcelona, and it was not easy. No buget, and still in need of players. I am suprised to not hear garcia vom City or alaba (wage?) since they are also free to sign.
    Even more surprised about thhe fact that there is no alternative for alba in sight, also not in this video. I think all in all, Barcelona is a highly complex situation even for tifo to complex to break down and have solutions within a 8 Minute Video. I hope for another La Masia generation. Instead of weigl i would try oriol busquets and Moriba. instea of caleta car I hope for garca and la masia products. AS a striker we do need someone external, depay is a good chioce. Interesting tho to choose such a versatille player, since this have not worked well in the past. (coutinho, Griezmann)

    Well, I've officially seen everything. Never thought I'd ever see Daniel González in a Tifo video, specially being suggested for Barcelona of all clubs. Saw the guy play for SW against Huachipato, the club I support, some days ago (battered them 4-0), but if it wasn't for him it would've been a far bigger blowout. Quality young defender, especially for a side that has a terrible defensive record and a very risky style of play with little care for defensive solidity. Surely, he must improve in some areas as he's starting his career, but if Santiago Wanderers aren't in dire straits at the moment, it's in big part due to González emergence as a centre back at the right time.

    I agree that we need a more defensively capable partner for FdJ. I loved Denis Zakaria as a profile that could work as a single pivot or in a double pivot even more advanced as an #8, bringing height, power, athleticism apart from technical quality and tactical astuteness.

The rest of the midfield can be supplied by la Masia with amazing talents like Nico Gonzalez, moriba, and Jandro Orellana all showing good signs for the future.

    You missed the LB Position, Gakpo is not Barca level and Garcia is coming in at CB for sure, Barca already have Mingueza, Araujo, Umtiti and Lenglet and they should be fine. The main problem is replacing Messi if he leaves and getting an Out and Out striker, Depay is also like Griezzman but right footed. Barca don't need another creative forward, they need a finisher. Someone like Haaland or Malen.

    You forgot an important point, i.e. buying a solid lb, as an alba replacement. Not immediately, but after we fix the aforementioned problems.
    1. Alba is getting older. Wc, sure, but getting older.
    2. Alba is too attacking minded to provide stability to the back line. He plays as if he is a wide midfielder, and the only defensive contribution he makes is running back to retrieve long ball. Extremely terrible in 1v1s.
    We need somebody who is also good defensively.
    3. No one knows when Alba might be sent off. Mingueza or Roberto at RB and Dest at LB is a meh situation against mid table clubs and very terrifying situation in more important matches.
    4. Rotation. If Koeman remembers how to, that is.
    But yeah, it is not and it shouldn't be our no. 1 priority.

    Todibo must return, araujo is a beast and mingueza is pretty good too. Although all are very young.
    The defensive frailties are not just a personel issue but a tactical one. Crosses/Corners still haunt us. There must be training to counter that.
