As a kindle owner i found this interesting to watch. Its like ASMR but without the noise. Its a visual ASMR to see electronics be carefully torn open and exposing the internals. 😊 Oddly satisfying

Thank you! My screen went bad after it fell off a table and this convinced me there's no point taking it apart to look for a loose connection. Saved me some pointless frustrating work!
Hi, I'd like to ask if your Kindle did get better? Or you had to buy a new one? My screen went bad as well.
@@riicuenca Hi there - I did a full reset and it came back up good as new. I don't know what had gotten jarred or confused from the impact but it self-repaired in the rebooting process. Good luck with yours, I hope it is as easy!

Thank you for this, I followed your instructions and successfully took apart my Kindle Paperwhite (and put back together) in a last ditch attempt to resolve the boot loop issue (every other option i could think of / find online had been tried to no avail). I thought perhaps removing all ribbon cables and battery and resetting might kick it back to life or give me a way of accessing the storage by connecting to the PC without the battery.... it didn't sadly. But good fun to take apart nonetheless, and went back together fine (so i now have a perfect looking brick of a Kindle, sigh).
Interesting. I wonder if you could load it into Linux and see it's file structure. Even do a simple integrity check of the drive which could potentially fix boot partitions.
I think I should get my hands on one and mess around a little bit. These things are cool and I now have a reason to dabble into the kindle pool.
Thanks for the video. My Kindle Paperwhite 3 (7th gen) touchscreen completely stopped working. Battery charging is normal. Button is normal. Computer can still detect. Tried restarting by holding the button 40 seconds doesnt work. Going to take it apart and let’s see if unplugging the battery would work. It’s my last resort lol. Screen replacement is expensive, its not worth it

Hi, thanks for the video. I read your note about availlable parts and I think in 2023 is almost the same sceneario. When I opened it, a small piece which is used to turn on%off the device was removed. It is seems it was welded to the motherboard. Can I get some replacement for the grey skeleton part? Screen can be bought but the part I am looking for, not quite sure. Thanks
The power button of my kindle has gotten loose/ not working. I have opened the kindle but can't understand how to fix it ?
Please hide the details of your credit/debit card in future videos, at 0:34 it's easy to figure out the card number, with CVV already visible. I suppose it is expired, if not please secure.

Hi Dev i have two kindles 6th edition and one's screen is broken. Other one is functional but a de registered device. I plan to swap the screen from my de registered device to the new one whose screen for broke. Swapping screens will be straight forward as per your video right? I would be able to run a screen from one kindle to another right?
First, check if both models are the same. You can swap the motherboard from the device with the broken screen to the one without a broken screen. Do not attempt to replace the screen, as it is not possible. Only swapping the motherboard is feasible. Good luck!

Certainly! You can apply a cleaning solution and use a brush to clean the charging port

So weird question! My kindle is frozen, non of the troubleshooting worked and if i plug it into a computer it doesn’t acknowledge it.
Anyways to my question, do you thing of i took this b!T@h apart and physically unplugged the battery that would force a restart?

Its happened me, I tried to root and its motherboard dead and screen shows frozen...
U can try to unplugg the battery... Hope it may work👍 good luck

My kindle frozen while doing an update.
When i phoned amazon support they said it was stuck needing that update but because its out of warranty the best they could do was give me 15% off on my next kindle I purchase 🤣🥲
@@amandawagner533 ohhh... Stuck during upadte... Motherboard problem, u have to change thr motherboard... Try to search for broken same model kindle online.

Hi I have a Kindle paperwhite 10th generation it resently started to have some issues. It has started to work on its own as in any function is starting on its own randomly or when I turn one page of a book is automatically skips to 6 or 7 pages ahead. What do you think is the problem here and do you think opening it up will be of any help?
It seems like it's a touchscreen problem, and I don't think opening it up will fix the issue. Sorry...
