It seems this question has come up a few times in the past, so I'll pin it in a comment here.
The battery I bought for this video is no longer listed. I bought it from a random eBay listing a few years back that is no longer available. However, you can find it pretty much anywhere online (Amazon, eBay, etc.). Here's a current active listing for one of these batteries for sale (not an affiliate link):
www.amazon.com/dp/B0B74S8145
I just searched for "Kindle Keyboard" and "Battery", and found one that matched the model (S10-346392-0100).
Hope that helps!
Great video. Does anybody can share link to the battery and the replacement kit?
Thanks for this. I have a Kindle Keyboard that I bought when they were first introduced here in Australia many years ago. The battery is now having trouble holding a charge for more than a couple of days. I didn't realise it was so easy to replace the battery - I imagined it was probably glued in place like so many others. And I can get one from one of the many battery supply stores here. Mine is also the SIM card model as I think the WiFi one was a higher price.
Update ten minutes later. I've just found out that these old Kindles no longer have access to the Kindle Store. I've mostly bought books from the website so didn't know they turned off my device's direct access late in 2022. Maybe I need to update instead of replace the battery.
They are still connected to the web service when you connect via WiFi, they just can't use the store directly. You can still send books you purchased or custom files via the app and website. And of course you can use Calibre to manage ebooks directly over USB no matter how old the Kindle is (I have a Kindle 1!)
Upgraded Kindles are still nice though :)
Yep, my battery only lasts for like hours...new battery ordered! Thanks for the this video!
Thank you!! My paperwhite sat on my nightstand for about 6 months and wouldn't do anything. I let it charge on a wall charger for about 8 hours and nothing. Tried your steps and I was about 15 minutes into my first cycle when it powered on. I will never let it die again!
Great video, super clear. Just replaced mine. It's Alive!!!
there are so many fake batteries out there, mind sharing a link to this 2amp unit?
So, is it working still? Contemplating a new battery, however notice that the grounding cable is broken, not sure if it can or should be replaced.
Thank you! Very easy to follow
You are very welcome!
Where did you buy the battery?
Good reading tastes, lol. Love the Eragon series. Thanks for the video.
where to buy new battery ?
Thanks!
Thanks, great video
Thanks for watching!
Heyy i have this one kindle, just bought it from a secondhand store online, but the big issue is this kindle unfortunately is a managed device, and the wifi is off, i know that this kindle have no support from amazon anymore for it 3g, but i thought the wifi must be can be use, but as i said it is already managed to not to connect to wifi from the previous owner. And i also cant factory reset it, after i ask the issue with Amazon CS it said bcs this kindle already old so the wifi can't be use. But i think, its not bcs of it, its just already managed by the previous owner maybe for their child. And it just dead so they sold it. I really want to make it become can connect to wifi. Sadly i cant do the factory reset
Are you able to connect it to your account and still load current books? My concern is the discontinued support from Amazon for the older devices. I just tried charging my Kindle Keyboard for the first time in about 4 years and I would really love for it to work again if I can get my current reads on it.
You can still connect to wifi on it and sync your purchases
I just put a new battery in
But unfortunately it doesn’t work for mine
Do you know why?
It still stuck in the empty battery
Same here. It will not do the rest.
@@bobs7091 Me too New battery stuck on empty battery, charged it to computer, to wall, will not open
And me
I have the same kindle, it has not been used nor charged for nearly a decade. i have been charging it for a few days now and it won’t still turn on, the charging light is still orange. The display does not even say “battery empty “though, its just the normal display that says slide to turn on.
batteries are very cheap and easy to replace, like 5 minutes if you have both hands tied behind your back.
Where did you buy the battery from
I have the same question!
Amazon or eBay

Did anyone ever say if there is a link to get a new battery? TY
I just pinned a comment with an Amazon link to an active listing for a replacement battery that will work. But, here's a quick link to that listing for you as well:

Hope that helps!
@@TheBrokenPast Thank you so much!!
My battery was so puffed up it forced the back cover to open slightly. I'm fortunate it didn't catch on fire
