Legendary work and craftsmanship! Invisible cabin loft ladder challenge is next. How can you have a ladder there but not take up room? Multifunctional! At the same time you can see it but you don't notice it? As always it is a piece of artwork and you can't stop looking at it in wonder. The only thing you can't forget is a bow tie for the new door somewhere!

I loved watching your door build video! Hard to believe that most people don't like those videos.
Yea, it's more so that it's not a peak interest for them. It's interesting, CZcams recommends videos based on a very small sampling of your regular audience. And if those people choose not to watch, then they suggest the videos to even less people. You'd think their algorithm would be sophisticated enough to suggest my woodworking videos to woodworkers, but it's not. They show it to people interested in off grid cabins, and then close the book on the video if it doesn't do well there.
I guess I'm in the 20 % range. I enjoy watching you make the stuff for your cabin.

The workmanship of your last video of the door was interesting to watch the progress from a slab of wood to a working door. I know what a saw is and a board lol but never would attempt it myself, that'd be a waste of wood ☺ That being said I appreciate the process.
I like the foot and bottom of the door shot in this video, it represented the woodsy feel if that makes sense.

I usually take advice rather than give it but this thought crossed my mind. Taking a few inches square of leftover wood from the door, putting the same finish on it and then taking it down for a computer matched quart of paint so you could make that white door next to the new one, not stick out like it doesn't belong there.

Work Shoes the Best - Your work shoes remind me of the pair I wore for many years. Certainly worn beyond normal but super comfortable. I wore while working for my uncles small diy center (previously known as lumber yard). My toes took a beating as the shoes had no toe protection. Anyway, your hard worn shoes bring me found memories of hard but enjoyable work.

Awesome door looks great. Now just a word of caution. If the temps get low enough to freeze the water jugs in the sink. it will also freeze the can goods and the glass pickle jar. it really makes a mess. Ask me how I know. All that stuff comes home for the winter now.

Get a small plastic tub for the pantry to keep the glass jar food in. If they freeze and break, you’re gonna have a mess.

Looks great Mike! The bracket for your fire extinguisher is mounted upside down! There are 2 small slots on the neck of the bottle that will slide into the bracket. Keep up the good work.

I see all the scrap wood from your floors/finish work stacked up for firewood. Have you considered using it to make bird houses with? Or, make wooden boxes that have nice hardware handles on each end ... great to sit on an end table to stow small items. Love your work. Always look forward to your videos. Thanks.

Nice video Mike. Be careful when burning anything other than cordwood. Heating up the glass too fast could cause it to crack. Also scrap wood gets hotter and can warp your steel stove.
