Ripson Bridge Fall Festivals

A short tribute to the Fall Festival in a remote, Illinois Village called Sorento. The old bridge was built as a crossing of Shoal Creek that winds through Bond County. Villagers needed a way to get their wagons to the County Seat in Greenville for supplies. There was a water wheel mill down stream from the bridge a few miles that eventually was converted to the first electric power source in the area.
