You know it’s a great musical performance when the crowd is going wild.
Underrated.
Lol. Nice
Let's go you should be at 10k 😁😂😂
Perfect.
*awww hahaha!*
Its so cute how he's trying to enjoy it but is super cautious at the same time. The fact that he just sat in front is crazy
@FartSmucker-Crazy like a fox! 😁
Life absolutely loves music: It's crazy how ingrained the love of music is in pretty much every creature with the capacity to listen to it.
I think because it's just such a harmonious form of sound in comparison to the massive amounts of uneven din most of life has to listen to: It really puts the minds of listeners at ease.
That fox isn't there for music lol. He's there for food he's been conditioned to expect 😂
Thank you for not reaching out to touch the Fox! Instead, you’ve touched him with your music. Nicely played!
When your musical talent has got the approval of a wild animal, you know you have got it right!😆
Some folks might think playing banjo for a fox is weird, but to me it makes more sense than 95% of what I see people doing
Found the fox, get 'im boys!
Its weirdly accurate.
And a thousand times better than Rap 🤪
The urge to uproot my life in the city to live in the mountains of Kentucky and teach myself the banjo.

Moments like this make this world less hellish.
I've been thinking about this. About how some people in horrible living conditions manage to find joy and about folks with every conceivable blessing find myriad things to rage about.
And, in the mix, the heart of an empath sees all.

The world is truly hell. We have to find nature, and stay in it, and away from social media…. Maybe check the weather and news once a week, then on to the life we had before smartphones.
There’s so much that we don’t know about animals and how they see the world. They are truly underestimated. This little fox probably had not heard music before and was intrigued and enchanted. I pray everyday that those who are guardians to animals as pets or otherwise will have respect and kind hearts toward them & that abusers will one day answer to He who created the animal kingdom.
I think when your musical audience is a wild fox you must be living right.
Ain’t that the truth!
That's the damn truth right there
There’s no need for any other comments, you said it all.
Amen
You fuckin said it right.
Organized sound and recognizable timbres are things animals can appreciate. Always magical to communicate with our planetary family of wild creatures.
Also encore of Foxy Lady helped!
Do you think the fox was more like "This music fits me and this place perfectly?" or "wow, these rare human sounds!"
I suspect it was like nothing it ever heard before, but yet sounded intriguing and "familiar," well worth stopping for a few and taking a listen. If only he'd have played a different tune for an encore, the fox might've stayed longer.
It's a hillbilly fox
I went camping in the woods for a few months. I started singing and a Raven swooped into my camp and just sat listening to me sing. That Raven imprinted onto me and became part of my camp. It even followed me from campsite to campsite for two months! At night it slept on the roof of my camper. Every morning when I came outside it would caw at me a cheerful "good morning," and I would start singing to it. It was amazing. The universe is beautiful!
You had a groupie! 😃

This guy has it together…. House in the mountains, best view ever! a banjo and a fox who sits front row to hear him play.
This guy gets 2 thumbs up 👍👍
How do you know it’s his house? He might have been lost in the woods and was
kidnapped by a psychopathic rapist who held him in a dungeon for 4 years (the cameraman, who is also pointing a gun at him), and now he’s got a bad case of stockholm syndrome (one of the strongest bonds there is). 5 minutes later he was back in the dungeon. (Please call 911, I want my life back)

What a heavenly meeting! This is how our relations with animals should be. It is our choice: domination and persecution, or equality and respect. A society's level of enlightenment is reflected in its treatment of animals.
We had a wild fox once. They love to snuggle. People think they would bite you but just gain their trust & you can pet them. Remind me a lot of cats. Very intelligent, & sweet... If they are acting like they are crazy & chasing after you to bite you it is probably rabid, because they normally never do this. Very curious, gentle, sweet animals.
We let him go back into the wild & live free on our land. What a wonderful animal.
Fox are wonderful little canines, but their main issue is they like to "mark" their territory. Everywhere. All the time.
Anyone that rehabilitates/befriends them/ keeps them as pets learns this very quickly. Definitely an outdoor animal, regardless of the relationship lol.
Had the same experiences with playing guitar for squirrels. They got up close and personal, laid down and listened for a good 15mins tranced. ✌🇨🇦👍
Cute🥰
Wow, that's special!
I wonder what would happen if the banjo player and you got together to play? Or the flute and the harp?

Music is the universal language. My two cats always come into the room and sit next to me when I play my guitar
Imagine this fox, having never heard music, as he walks around as though he isn’t sure what to do but can’t sit still. Like instinctual movement/dance. And then he looks around at the scenery as if he feels the need to experience that while hearing this. And then must come back round to watch this strange sound this man is making. It is pure innocence and shared experience and is beautiful.
@ Mox Fulder😅🤘🏽
Either that or he's just acting like a fox.
I think he was trying to get behind him, as that is how they feel most comfortable hunting. Not implying he was hunting, just that it was a place that he felt in control of. Beautiful fox listening to beautiful music. It had to be special for him to sit and listen.
Beautiful thought, pure imagination at its best. An X file for sure.
MoxFulder, i so get your imaginative comment. I was thinking of his fine brain going through the exquisite decision tree of forest sounds. Is it this? Nah, maybe that? Uh uh, don't think so. Never heard that metallic vibrato in a bird's throat. ... All that assessing and sorting going on at the same time he wants to dance. Or run. Or maybe not. Music is the best invitation!! This man was so blessed by this experience!!!
The part you didn't see:
The Fox jumped up on a hickory stump nearby and said "I guess you didn't know it, but I'm a fiddle player too."

He’s looking for the opportunity to take a bite out of his leg. Wild animals are driven by food and procreation. They don’t listen to music.
@@Zeus-wl2pl 😎 Hmm... ALL lifeforms are driven by food and procreation. Being that human music is a novelty to them, wild animals WILL listen to it -- if it's pleasing to their ears. Otherwise, they'll just run away from the "noise".

Strangely, I had a fox come and watch me practicing my drumming on a rubber pad while sitting on a park bench one night. I was tapping out a blues shuffle... A tight one. He was walking between two bushes 10 yards ahead and he stopped, looked at me then crept up with his head on the side staring... Like he couldn't work out what I or it was he was looking at/listening to. It was pretty intense, I wondered if he was going to pounce at me for a moment. Curious to see this fox reacting quite similarly... Would seem they are effected by rhythm, or interested by it anyway. Most curious!
Not wild.

My cat used to listen when i play my accoustic guitar, she certainly perceived the vibrations.
One day in the nineties I was playing my Banjo in the forest in Northern Germany and I had the same experience: A fox came out of the bushes. He stood and listened and then sat down. I played non-stop 40!! Minutes. Then I started to sing- that was a mistake - the Fox got up, turned and went away. He Never came back!
And the moral of the story is??? Obviously these foxes are hill billys and love banjos. I think it reminds them of when they were little foxes in their den with their mother fox and she played the banjo she found on the path one day and it reminded the fox of his mother who got her leg snapped off in a trap. Am I reading this right.

The way his ears move to the music is cute. He cant clap but he surely shows his/her appreciation with his moving ears 🥰

They do that naturally because of prey and predators
“Legend tells of a man who lived in the wilds among the trees and the animals. Every evening the man would play his banjo as the sun slipped behind the mountains. He played not for anyone in particular, only for the joy it gave him. But one night as the man was playing he had a visitor: a red Fox. The fox heard the music from afar and wished to hear more. Upon finding the Man with the banjo he sat upon a rock awaiting the next performance. The man, now having an audience, obliged. As the sun crept lower the fox went on his way, and the man went to sleep. The next evening, the man went to play his banjo to the sunset, as was his custom. This time, however, the red fox was waiting patiently upon the rock.”
My brain read that in Pete Seeger's voice and that made me very happy.

It doesn't get any better that that: Beautiful scenery, great playing, good tune, and a coyote. Only thing that would make it even better would be a couple of wolves... some people are never satisfied.😂😂😂
You can tell he/she is really enjoying it by how the ears are moving and perceiving the different tones of the banjo, it's wonderful to watch, simple communication between human and animal✨
I have had the same experience playing my harp. I had a hummingbird who would perch right in front of me and would Bob her head back and forth to the music. She did this everyday I was outside. I also experienced it with robins. They were searching for worms but when I began to play they would literally freeze on the spot, and when I stopped they’d hop across the yard again.
Wow, I’ve not heard of this before. Brings alive wonder… so amazing.
I love the hummingbird part of your story.
That would be so cool to see. The harp sounds other-worldly to me. If I was a little bird, I'd stop and listen to you play too.
Fun fact: Hummingbirds have musical genes. It’s been studied. I learn about it at a conference. Of course we as humans do, but it’s cool to find it in birds. Either it was Hummingbirds or Mocking Birds. Both actually.
That's beautiful! ❤
Unusual….whenever I played the banjo ,the hummingbirds would immediately fall unhurt to the ground. It’s difficult to fly with your wings covering your ears. Perhaps banjo lessons should be in my future?
I’m not American. But I’m trying hard to get over there legally. Been to West Virginia when I was young and it left such an imprint on my soul. The landscape brings tears to my eyes. It’s a wild, untouched wilderness of unmatched beauty. Some day.

This proves that the beauty in music can transcend through different species.
Ive noticed this with my dog as well. When I play guitar he comes and sits real close and looks up at me with happy eyes. Sometimes he even falls asleep to my playing.
My dog is exactly the same, he curls up beside me or at my feet, and falls into the deepest sleep when I play, and I'm very average as a guitarist, and just noodle to switch my brain off. Music is the language of the soul.
Or that the fox is just waiting for food…
Animals do not recognize music a we humans do.
They hear the noises but they can’t identify the connection between them.
It’s a cute thought though but it doesn’t work like that, it’s been proven many times scientifically.
There are but in fact videos of parrots and such birds who recognize a beat and bang their head to it, that’s another cool story.
I've seen music enchant horses and elephants amongst other species (videos on YT). A beautiful fox for sure. And pleasant music 🤝☘🇮🇪🇬🇧

Yes!! Awesome thing to say! Love your sense of humor & your heart, too❣️
You're a fox. You've been traveling days, barely scraping by for food. You come across a good haul and continue your wayward journey before hearing a strange noise. It's coming from one of those human creatures. It appears to be a stick of some kind. Weirdly enough, the noise is rather soothing, almost comforting. You step closer until you lock eyes with the strange giant. His lips curl and bear teeth, but the noise from his stick doesn't stop. You unconsciously inch closer. Surely, if this creature meant you harm, it would've done so by now. You now hear the noise in all its little intricacies. Like a swirl of different emotions gathering into a strange elixir inside your little heart. The noise continues from the strange giant. You feel a vague sense of comfort, perhaps more so than you should. Your vision guides your paw to look over to the cliffside, and you see yet another source of possible food and water. You look back towards the human still with his teeth bared, but no hostile action. You gather your nerves to wander into the woods, but for some reason, you find yourself reluctant to forgo this feeling, given by the human's instrument. You stay but a moment longer. You doubt you will hear anything like this noise again, and you listen one final time before letting the music fade behind you onto your journey...
More please
Love it!

Cows and horses would rush to a fence in groups and listen intently. Quite a thing to behold.
How cool, loved how his ears twitched back and forth as he was listening to your music. Nature can be so wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
Really shows it was paying attention :) It likes it!
Ha, that's exactly what I noticed the second time he came back...as if he was really listening and taking the music in and maybe wondering, "could/should I stay a bit longer..." everything about this was amazing.
Imagine the fox hearing a new sound for the 1st time. Cool
It’s funny how he is listening to the banjo but also listening for predators and prey ..watch his ears shift like crazy...awesome video
It was nervous about whomever is filming, by the looks of it. Beautiful!
exactly what i was thinking. is this something to go after. just what is this? :) 🦊🎶
The biggest predator is right in front of him, we predate every aspect of the world
@@moosky7344 5000 years old kinda guy?
Yeah, that's why the fox circled him. It was trying to figure out where the sounds were coming from and what was making those sounds.
He truely is a Disney princess
Probably the best video I have ever seen on the internet. The fact that he comes back for an encore is just ...........
That was great! Music speaks to everyone!! Music is more than just sound. It hits the senses and emotion's like a freight train. Even that lil guy was intrigued, I bet he comes back to listen again!
Well, maybe not everyone. My cat could care less what music I play, or how loud...
I love your comment, happy new year 💗
Looking good your coment!☺️ But Maybe the foxes detect the sounds of the strings a little bit diferent that the human ear. Anyway, i bet they thinks "...something curious" happend with that human.
Thank you very much for a great way to start the new year, hopefully 2022 will improve individual rights of the American people, to be free like the Fox
Humans made music since dinosaurs age…imagine being human and living with dinosaurs 🦖 which been proven by evidence
Fox is like, “I don’t know what this guy is saying but I respect his message.”
😂🤣
Lol, right on.
Good one 🤣
My little pup Watson reacts to this song in a very positive manner, I play it for him every morning.
He just couldn't leave, he likes the sound of music..
Free concert guys, from a human who is not coming to hunt and kill us. His vibes are mellow and a kind.
Amen to that.
Country people generally don't hunt the foxes. They help keep vermin under control.
This was an incredibly wholesome moment and I'm glad to have shared this experience with you. Happy New Year everyone!!! 🎆
@Miss Understanding
