Slight correction, the threaded barrel adapter is from EWK Arms!
Hey, neither your description for this video nor your about section on your channel have a link to your instagram. I only noticed because I wanted to go check it out. Keep up the good work, love your videos.
@@Foodhat it’s the same name as my channel 👍
I was trying to suggest that maybe it would be a good idea to do so, but in attempting to be polite and not directly telling you how to run your channel I fear I may have miscommunicated. Again, great content man but if you're trying to syndicate and grow your other platform's presence I just think if it were in the description it'd be like two taps away and more people would go there to check it out. Again, thanks for everything you create and do and I hope this helps should you decide to implement it.
Yep.
I knew your gun looked familiar. It took me a minute to find the video but check out Ian McCollum's video on the Smith & Wesson model 1913. Smith & Wesson definitely drew design inspiration from their model 1913 when they designed the 622. The low bore axis, the way the slide reciprocates, the controls on the front of the grip.
Well I can see how you would think that but that's not how they got there. This gun was intended to be a cheap replacement for a model 41 that cost less to manufacture. You look at the model 41 you can see that they took most of its features in terms of ergonomics and the over barrel lug etc. Also this uses model 41 magazines. And model 41 is an extremely nice pistol it's one of those rareified few that the aficionados debate about. as to whether it is the nicest one you can get. Present like is the finest revolver a korth or manhueran...
@@GunFunZS Maybe I didn't explain myself correctly because I was not implying this gun is a replacement or in the lineage of the model 41.
Found your channel off a short. You got good content bro. Appreciate you
Absolutely f'n beautiful.
I want one now!!
Had never seen that one. Thanks for sharing from your collection.
Very rare bought my 2206 when they first came out, never seen another at 100+ gun shows over the yr's. Obviously whoever owns one never parts with them !
I had the 422 blued. One of my all time favorite guns
Cool gun thanks for sharing. Seems like the smith and wesson 22a took a lesson from that as far as the mag release goes.
I picked mine as a future suppressor host, it's a cool unique little blaster.
Don't Tell them about these. This whole family of gun is one of my favorites and they are just ideal suppressor hosts. Internet does not need to know about them or I will never get my little baby version to match my 2206 tgt.
I owned a 2206 and had some 12 rounds mags for it. It was a great range toy.
I'm the winner from the airsoft giveaway you had awhile back! Love seeing the new videos. I've got the 422 in silver.
Heck yeah they are awesome. Surprisingly still very affordable. I love the weird and wacky myself. One of the weirdest .22 pistols I own is a Walther SP22 M1. It's like a semi auto 22 rifle inside a pistol and the charging levers are similar to a Cz Vz61 Scorpion. I really dig your channel. I don't do any 3d printing but have been gunsmithing for a while. I really like your mix. You got my sub!
Looking at one for sale. How much did you pay for your 622.
@@wbwills2 220 with original box.
These come up frequently in the secondary market in northern europe. I quite like the design.
I have a S&W 22a with the same mag release placement. Until I got my TX22, it was my favorite Fun Steel gun.
I have a 422. When I stumbled upon it I had never heard of one before. I purchased it at a gun show and immediately went to the magazine guy to get some spares. I got 2 spare 12 round mags because that is what was available. Mine was not very accurate until I detail stripped it. (The barrel was glued to the frame but only on one side, giving it weird harmonics.) I love the wacky mag release. Mine is a 6 inch barreled model. I've always wanted to inlet a piece of scope rail into it and put a red dot on it. (Too chicken as of yet.)
B-Square had a no-gunsmithing scope mount that clamped onto the flat sides of the barrel shroud part of the frame. With a red dot on it my 422 was a tack driver.
Wow, that looks to be as low as my Hudson H9. Very cool!
Yea, but this gun probably has better aftermarket support lol
@@timrobinson6573 😂 yeah I'd bet on that.
Love my all SS Smitty 2206, 110% reliable. Now very rare.
That the lady smith?
That smoke wagon looks like the 90’s too.
I can't believe people still obsess over low bore axis rather than something that actually affects how a handgun handles, the alignment index.
or the Carbonaro Effect
Unique
It really is an oddball
I have the blued version! Added the thread adapter too. Just waiting for my DA Mask
That’ll be a very slick combo!
@@booliganshootingsports they are particularly accurate little .22s too!
Yep, fixed barrel in a rigid frame is a very good recipe for accuracy.
I shoot the same firearm left handed, know problems what so ever. Ever accurate little firearm.😊
Are there any 3D frames for lefties..Left Handed Shooters ?
Hey man, great vid as always, quick question, what would you need to know in order to get into 3d modelling and make those futuristic compensators and pistol frames that you make?
I just picked up a free copy of Fusion360 and started watching CZcams videos on how it works.
@@booliganshootingsports Great, thanks man, I'll give it a try!
I'm really surprised you don't yet have a Whitney Wolverine (or at least I haven't seen you show one off). Strong space gun vibes.
It’s on my list! I want one bad.
@@booliganshootingsports not the best 22 out there but the walther sp22 is another spacy looking gun. Trigger kinda sucks but mine is a great shooter despite that. The beretta neos has some strong scifi vibes as well
@@aceman1126 The Beretta Neos (especially with the stock kit) looks pretty spacey, too.
It's basically a Frommer Stop
Looks like the "alien" pistol is not as original as most people would have thought. Also has the ridiculously long grip as well, because the lower barrel equals low magazine (or lower capacity magazine if you don't want it to stick out lower/farther).
Is that an AR with a lewis gun like shroud in the background?
Yes, it is. He has a video about that on his channel, but I'm too lazy to go find it for you.
@@cymond thanks for letting me know
There's a new prototype pistol with a low bore axis called the Wildebeest. Search for it you might be interested.
I have one with the three inch or 2 inch barrel
Wait this was in the godfather if I remember correctly
Wait wasn't at the time (with the start of the "assault weapon ban") a magazine for most pistols capped at like 10?
No expert so I'm probably 100% wrong
But I remember during that period in my life, lots of new guns had just 10 round mag capacity even though they could clearly carry more
Again could be an idiot here
They all had threaded barrel’s.
They all had threaded barrel tensioners, not externally threaded muzzle mounts.
Its not quite as good looking as the Whitney Wolverine but no doubt its still good looking.
The Whitney Wolverine is a piece of space aged art. I'll add one to the collection someday.
All 622 & 422 had threaded barrels. It was not an option.
They had tensioned barrels which were retained with a threaded nut. They didn’t have externally threaded barrels for mounting accessories like suppressors as we consider them today. The aftermarket solved that.
That's an interesting little gun 👍👍👍👍 I'd seen the Rhino, but wasn't aware of any semi-automatics with that under-barrel configuration, so this is definitely an interesting one to see 👍👍👍👍 I wonder, if it was chambered in .9mm, if that would eject the casing with enough force that it could have an ejection port on the top of the slide? 🤔🤔🤔🤔 I have to admit, shooting that right handed, I'd still be wary of the spent casing ejecting right across the knuckle of my index finger, and especially so for those who deliberately hold their pistols as high on the grip as possible. While that might not be an issue with a very static grip, as you pointed out with that central magazine release; one's grip would shift with each magazine change, thus, potentially bringing the hand into the path of that ejecting brass... 😳😳😳😳 As a curio, yes, it's got a lovely little character and personality all of its own, but as an actual gun-to-be-used, no thankyou... I'm surprized that this was even in production as long as it was, because to me, it has the vibe of one of those concept prototypes, for something that *seemed* a good idea at the drawing board, but once manufactured, I can see most saying 'no thankyou' to it. It's not that I *don't like it* , more a case of, I don't think I would ever trust it enough to relax around... Kind of like when kids are made to have a play-date with someone who's bullied them, or who they've bullied, and while the kids may get on vaguely well under supervision, there will always be that underlying nervous tension, which will make friendship difficult...
If given the opportunity to redesign this, I'd make sure it was available in larger calibres, move the ejection port to the top of the slide, like most every other pistol ever made, and make the magazine release thumb operated. In short, I'd take away about 80% of what makes this gun 'itself', but, I would definitely keep to the under-barrel configuration, for that reduced recoil 🙏🙏🙏🙏 Thankyou for sharing this with us 👍👍👍👍
It's not really an "under barrel" in the same way as a Rhino, it just has the spring and mass of the side over the barrel instead of under it. There are other old gun designs like this, but I can't have them easily. Go watch Forgotten Weapons to see some weird antique guns.
If you want to see something really amazing, go look at the Mateba 6 Unica.
Also, consider condensing your comments. Be concise. You used a lot of words to communicate very little information. Most people will skip over a long rambling comment.

would you willing give up all your automatic firearms if the new law goes into effect,,, ?
The new law has a grandfathering clause. But also, no.
@@booliganshootingsports our 2A rights should not be grandfathered.
@@scottp7587 correct. Which is why this new law would get slapped down by the Supreme Court if it takes effect. But we need to continue to fight to ensure it doesn’t pass the senate.
"automatic" is the wrong term for these. I'm not sure if you're unaware, or trying to deliberately mislead somebody.
@@cymond yes they are, they are not manual per shot are they ?
