nope - the potted box with the circuit board does not need to be mounted to metal.
Do you have a male adapter?? I have projector headlights but have bought an alpha owl headlight for my RAM R/T 2017 and they have the quad style plugs.
Sorry, we do not make an "inverse" adapter.
Do you make the reverse connections? Tired of replacing oem projectors due to moisture ..

One I just ordered have a connection on a single blue wire. What does it control? Have 2017 projectors going into a 2012
Our V3 (moved to about 4 months ago) of this product does not have the blue wire. Are you sure they are from RetroShop? It will say RetroShop on the box. If its a solid black box.....it would be from another supplier.
I just finished installing projector headlights on my truck but now the leds for the signal lights are flickering on and off while the truck is running, doesn’t happen when the engine is off, the low beam and high beams work normally, what could I have done wrong?
Could this flickering cause damage or does it just look dumb until I can figure out what’s wrong?

Sounds like a competitors harness...... We've updated ours (about a year ago) to include a full harness to provide power for the parking lights / turn signals. Some trucks require that, so we made it for all adapters. If this is our product, please email us and we can review. Where are the wires coming from to plug up I think my dodge 14 is stock with that and I would like to go back to quads
Check eBay, I believe there is a "inverse" adapter to go from projectors back to quads.
Will the projector headlights fit a h13 bulb
No, these take 9012. But.....they will fit any 4th Gen Ram.
The wiring harness I have has three plugs, one for the turn signal, the other for the low/high beam, where does the 12v connector go?
battery positive.
@@RetroShopLights these are the harnesses I purchased it didn’t come with a wire to go to the battery just the 3rd connector, it reminds me of the HID/Xenon bulb connectors

do the daytime running lights work with the new adapter. for Canada
DRLs will remain on the high beam location in Canada........there simply is no way to divert the high beams to the turn signals - and still retain both in their normal functions.
oh ok does that mean I won't have high beams though, if they are hooked to DRL's?
Highs still work, just like you have now.

I got the projectors but does any one know why the pattern of the light looks like stairs
This is due to the projector. All projectors have a step in their cutoff, to keep from blinding oncoming traffic - but step up on the pass side to help illuminate road signs.

Do the adaptors work with projectors from another place other than retroshop?
We have tested on OEM and TYC - and know they work on those brands. DEPO - does not work. Ebay "special" $300 lights.....hit or miss.
So they dont work on the cheap ones?
hit or miss........simply put - I can't guarantee anything other than the OEM and TYC.
