    Great video!! Thank you for taking the time. Was thinking of getting the customtronix mod, but had no clue on how i would install this. After seeing your video, seems a bit more doable. I was wondering if you had a video on how to install the cargo cam, since my truck didn't come with it. If not, no biggie.

      Thanks for watching and glad I could help! My personal truck came with a cargo camera already installed, but I am interested in doing that video, as well. Next video is the Apple TV install from Customtronix!

  • @ajtomon

    When you were installing the updates, I noticed one was "Found new feature Speed Lockout. Disable speed lockouts" and you hit install (the other option was "continue" which i take it means you can skip that update installation). I'm wondering does that mean that if installed, the camera would not come on while driving? If you did not install that update would the software allow you to use the camera at any speed while driving? You did a great job with the video and made it look pretty easy to do!

    • @RAMB0RGHINI
      @RAMB0RGHINI  Před 6 lety +4

      Great question! Yes, speed lockout allows all UConnect functionality at any speed, including any of the cameras, apps, and navigation. Thanks for watching!

    • @RAMB0RGHINI
      @RAMB0RGHINI  Před 7 lety +2

      The camera cable can be run through the firewall or through the front fender, behind the door, into the cab. Each vehicle will be different with a more suitable routing solution between models and years. Thanks for watching!

    Hi, great video except you say a couple times below in the comments there are multiple ways to get it into the cab, we all want to know exactly how you got it into the cab and then how did you get it behind the radio? u take the radio out and its just there for you? the rest of the stuff is all really easy, the hardest part is to get it up into the cab behind the radio and you dont show any of that.. can you pleese update a little and show us how you did that, thanks

    • @RAMB0RGHINI
      @RAMB0RGHINI  Před 6 lety

      Since there are several different engine options, there are just as many routing options. I chose to go through the fender and door just above the hinge where the camera wiring wouldn't be pinched. There are other options on the firewall and some vehicles come equipped with an auxiliary cutout and rubber grommet that be removed easily. This is definitely a viable option, but may not exist on every vehicle.
      This video can also serve as a guide for all vehicles with 8.4" Uconnect systems. Obviously, routing options will vary between a truck and a sedan. The firewall auxiliary entry point, if equipped, is definitely the most secure routing option. Thanks for watching!

    Hey I'm just wondering does the camera automatically activate when your front parking sensors start? Or do you have to select apps > cameras every time you want to use it? Thanks!

    • @RAMB0RGHINI
      @RAMB0RGHINI  Před 6 lety

      There is an option for the camera to come on at a slower speed (5-8mph?). There is no current option for connectivity to the parking sensors, but that would certainly be a great feature for future software modifications. Thanks for watching!
