Back in 2014 I spent close to three months trying to figure this out for my 2013 RAM Sport. Tracking down the switch, finding someone to make that power distribution center, and finding wiring diagrams. I was close to $300 into it when I threw in the towel and sold the whole lot. NOW I find this video.
Before I ordered it, I just happened to stumble across the unit and quickly ordered one when I saw it!!

Whew, glad I bought the ‘18 3500 with those up fitter switches already installed. I could never be trusted taking my dash off even that far. Good job!
It was intimidating at first because I’ve never taken a dash off of a vehicle but luckily everything worked out!!

4th gen ram electronics but unfortunately they aren't in business anymore.
On a diesel engine with the remote start its best to remove the positive first and then the negative I have found that the other way could result in accidentally starting the vehicle
A buddy on here has done what u doing he has lights under the wheel wells aux everything. Love's it. It a 14
I was considering doing rock lights but I think I’ll stick with what I have for now!!

They made that wire alot smaller. I had to drill a hole in the plastic piece and do it that way, otherwise i would went through the boot

Two top screws are 25 mm star screws
If you get the appropriate kit it should tell you how to wire everything at the trucks are set up for from the factory you might have to bring it to the dealer to flash something I’m not 100% sure on that but I know there’s a designated spot to mount that box instead of screwing it to the fuse panel I think it’s on the passenger side firewall were supposed to go
I decided to mount it where I mounted it for easy access. You can pretty much mount it anywhere you want to where there’s room!!
What was the reason for running the additional plug? To power the aux?

Where you ran your wires through that little black cover with the bolts sticking out. If you unscrew that it open up the fire wall where you can run wires through. It looks like you have 2 wires already running through it

next thing is buy wireless phone charger, cut round hole in cubby under those aux switches, fit and secure it in, wire it to USB power and BAM ... wireless charger in 4th gen RAM trucks in perfect spot

Get the bds or something that u can get 5000 aux options u plug in by left leg. Then down load bds i think name. Plug it in it will give u more then codes. But becarfule in there. Down load app. And u can change the ideling of that cummings. Or gaser

That's interesting. I thought the truck was pre-wired under the hood for Aux switches. Maybe I'm confusing the Ram with the Ford.
As far as I understand, the 2018 doesn't come pre-wired. Maybe on the fancier versions but not on my SLT!!

Unfortunately, I believe they have gone out of business. I’ve had quite a few people reach out and I’ve tried to contact them to no avail.
Airdelete.com makes these relay kits. They have the part numbers of the specific panel you need, you can get that from any mopar place. I just ordered last week

I’ve got a 2015 ram but mine has the heat switches as well as the others would I be loosing access to my heated seats and heated steering wheel with this product
You’d have to contact the seller at 4th GEN ram electronics because he basically custom makes each panel for each individual truck.
Where did you get this wire and switch set up is it a package deal?

If I’m not mistaken, it is almost exactly like the factory kit. This part is a Mopar part so I’m assuming it’s a factory kit. My truck didn’t come with any aux buttons but I’ve heard that some of the trucks do.

Can you have these switches work steady on/off for say an LED light bar but also have a switch only give power when depressed for say an air horn or winch in/winch out?
You can have them be momentary or latching, your choice!!

I did get a new panel but I don’t know what the part number is. I contacted 4th GEN ram electronics directly and ordered it that way.

Great video, I am looking to do the same thing but I already have a relay module built. Do you know what the part number for that switch is, I need the exact same one? I do not need this whole system, just the switch module. Did you happen to take a photo of the back side of the switch? How does the existing wiring harness and the new wiring harness work?
I would contact fourth GEN ram electronics for any technical questions as I didn’t build the set up and I have no idea!! All that I know is it works amazingly well and I absolutely love it!

Yes they did!! Took a bit of time but I got the exact panel I needed!!
Do they make this setup for the 1500 models that dont have the diesel exhaust button?
Yes they do!! He custom makes them to your vehicle / your preference.

Are you able to go into settings on the touchscreen and see the Aux switches in there??
After getting the AlfaOBD app and the OBDlink MX, yes I was. It first showed up on my EVIC under the “commercial” setting but after about 2 days, it switched to my touchscreen.

I believe it was provided when I bought the kit and it’s in paper form so I don’t have it anymore. I’m sure you could find it online somewhere though!!

Two years later and I have had zero issues with the panel and absolutely love all of the features!! I would highly recommend them and definitely recommend them to anybody who asks!!

No problem. Just becarfule in there. There is a million things u can do in that truck. U put i think was bds plugs in under dash by left leg. The u can get in to the brain of the truck. U can have it start every minute lol. True million option. But becarfule what u push. KUSTOMBLACK. IS HIS HAND.

Did you need to have the truck flashed to accept to new switches?
Not at all. It was simply plug and play!!
To program the switches other than factory (I wanted switch 1 to be momentary and the rest to be latching), I used the AlfaOBD app to do the programming and didn’t need to flash it either.

If I recall correctly I think it was only around 2 to 3 hours for the complete install.

I think it took around 2 weeks to get it and it is DEFINITELY worth it!! I have a front LED light bar, 2 rear LED light bars, and a train horn on my truck and the buttons are invaluable and look stock!!

You have to have the AlphaOBD programmer (available on Android only) to do it. It’s really easy if you have the right equipment and unfortunately I had to purchase all of it because nobody around me had it!!

Can you not have a switch in the first big double switch right next to the trailer brake controller?
There isn’t an aux switch available for that area. At least that I’m not aware of!!
How did you change out the trailer brake control from the old unit to the new unit?
The old one simply popped out (with a bit of persuasion) and when I put the new panel in, it popped right in!!
