Your sweater is the perfect aesthetic for September fall vibes 💕
readwithcindy yeah like sometime I don’t like a part in a book or I love a part of it sooo much and I really want to hear her opinion and if she noticed it .
Mixed with the tortoise shell earrings too! So fall 🍂🍁
I’m a simple girl. Regan recommends books and I pause everything to go read them.
Same
Same. lol. I openly library app and request them all :)
I've been dying to read Warbreaker and now I want to read it even mooooore. I swear, all i do is watch your TBR's/Wrap Ups and buy every book you recommend
Warbreaker is a solid book. I know some of the characters pop up later in other series, but I'd love to see another proper warbreaker book. Perhaps a prequel? Definitely a must if you are into Stormlight.
This totally motivated me to kick October's reading goal's ass!
I agree with you about The City of Ghosts. I’m glad I’m not the only one. I know it’s MG but my expectations were higher.
Warbraker has my favorite Brandon Sanderson character so far. I love the cynical God, he is hilarious! So glad you like it!
oh my gosh your sweater is everything!
I read Scythe and Thunderhead this month all thanks to you and loved them! ❤️
I feel like the critiques I've been seeing of City of Ghosts was that there wasn't as much depth as people expected or the writing wasn't akin to their other Victoria Schwab novels but I also feel like with these critiques people are forgetting that it's a middle grade novel. Of course the plot and characters are more surface level and the writing is simpler, it's written for young readers
Katelyn Rose right? It's been annoying me that they are rating this book low for simple writing. Wha did you think was gonna happen? It's middle grade. You have to adjust your perspective accordingly.
plus i'm pretty sure it was meant to be a little mysterious so that she could delve deeper in the next books. We as the readers are discovering this world at the same time as Cass
That's what I was thinking, too. Middle Grade books aren't supposed to be too complex because of the target age group.
Love your videos ALWAYS. Just wanted to say that you're one of my favorites out there, girl. And you make me want to pick up ALL THE BOOKS. Also, those are a lot of books. Well done!
i love three dark crowns (i'm reading the second book right now) and i plan on reading the novellas as soon as i finish it!
I read 7 this month. The best since February.
Wow, Warbreaker sounds fascinating! I’ll definitely have to read that. In September I read Daughter of the Pirate King, Daughter of the Siren Queen, My Lady Jane, Every Heart a Doorway, From Twinkle With Love, the Upside of Unrequited, Defy, Ignite, and A Whole New World. I recently got into audiobooks, which is allowing me to read so many more books than before!! 😄
I liked the editing in this video as well as the shirt!!
The Novice series is really enjoyable. I read all 3 books and going to read The Outcast soon. It is great that you found this gem too. Can’t wait to see your review for The Inquisition and The Battlemage
I LOVE your sweater!! And I really want to read And the Ocean Was Our City.
Lightsong though 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I LOVED “The Last Magician!” I read it after your recommendation and it was definitely one of my top books of the year. I have already preordered “The Devil’s Thief” and your review is just getting me even more excited!
Always love watching your videos 😊
Omg I loved the novice you guys should really finish the series it was good
I would like if you do some book reviews and not in the wrap up , with spoilers and in the depth discussion..... because I noticed that you talk about a book in a TBR and then you describe it the same way in a reading vlogs and then say the same thing in a wrap up , and also in your top 5 lists .... don’t get me wrong I enjoy your videos overall ( mostly your vlogs )and specially you’re personality but a book review once in a while would be fun and very enjoyable ( especially rick riordan books and Sarah j Maas ) . ( I wrote this in your last video, though maybe you’ll see it here )
5th time I post this comment and I will keep doing it until you see it or I get bored .
And a lot of people agree
H N Totally agree. She always has something positive to say about a book which is nice but also I no longer trust her ratings. They can’t all be that good..
She does give her personal opinion and rating in the wrap up, which is different to a TBR. I know what you mean about hearing the bio too many times - maybe it doesnt need to be repeated in full in the wrap up. You can search her channel for individual book reviews
Alicia Croft yeah she gives personal opinions but not detailed and spoilery .... and I saw she had book reviews but they were so long ago and I would appreciate one from time to time ... at least in the vlogs she could say skip to this time if you don’t want spoilers and give us her opinion in specific scenes .
@@huda9445 Ok. Maybe they didn't get many views - I never watch full book reviews, I use goodreads for that. I would much rather hear just a normal personal opinion to get a sense if I want to read it. It's her channel at the end of the day. You could search around for more literary or detailed reviews of individual books on other channels for now?
Alicia Croft one a month wouldn’t hurt , and I know it’s her channel I’m just suggesting for her to change a little because it’s getting boring hearing her say the same thing about a book in 3 videos... and I do watch other book CZcamsrs but I like her and I want to hear her opinion about some books too .
I am a new subscriber, and I enjoyed your wrap up. I mentioned below that I read 37 books in September and 33 in August. Obviously, reading is my passion, as is reviewing and my blog. I have just joined BT a month ago, and have about 29 videos, mostly reviews.
Thank you for the video! I love your sweater! A couple books I read this month are, Save the Date by Morgan Matson and The Princess Saves Herself In This One by Amanda Lovelace.
Wrap ups make me want to do a booktube video immediately. Regan is one of the first booktubers I watched since 2016 and I think it's time to join the fun. :)
The Novice sounds so good! I can't wait to read it!
The Viewing List bookoutlet has the whole series for sale right now really cheap ☺️
Regan you are my go to for fantasy recs! I’ve read so many that you’ve enjoyed and I’ve freaking loved all of them😍 thanks for making me pick up The Way of Kings a few months ago! I’m so ready to read Oathbringer now👌🏼
Lightsong 💚
I just finished Warbreaker. My first Brandon Sanderson book. I loved it, it flowed really well and easy.
I finally read Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman this month and oh my gosh I absolutely F L E W through it.
Your sweater is so cute
All of my reading has been for class, but I did read Frankenstein and Dracula, and am a good way through "The Vegetarian" by Han Kang.
Holy Macaroni. Gosh I love that word.
I'm literally in the process of posting my wrap up and we are wearing VERY similar sweaters omg hahahahaha
I started and finished IT(4/5) this month, I feel very accomplished lol I also read The Coldest Girl in Coldtown(4/5), Darker(3.75/5) and The Land of Stories: A Grimm Warning(4/5)
It would be so cool if you could do more in depth reviews of books such as the stormlight archive
I got through 12 books this month! 5,076 pages to be exact 😂 I’ve had waaaayyy too much free time lol
Great video! Love the sweater!!! :)
I actually just posted a reading vlog I filmed of my experience reading The Last Magician! I'm glad to hear you gave the sequel 5 stars. Makes me want to pick it up soon and continue the series.
I just finished the Daughter of the Pirate King duology! Regan - if you need a quick, fun easy fantasy read that really pulls you in then check them out. They are so fast but sooo entertaining - I was pleasantly surprised!
Never clicked on a notification so fast!!!! Can you do a book talk
Hi Regan. I've been binge watching all of your videos and your reading vlog is more like a reminder for me to read. Also.. I see that your vlog is getting better and better in which you don't make us dizzy by turning the camera very suddenly. Lol. I love your vlog! And your videos in general! Anyway.... Have you been away from goodreads? I always miss your reading update :(
I'm sooo earlyyy. It's 12 am here.❤❤
Haven't read anything for the past few months! Hope to pick up lots soon tho!
I don't know how you read so many books every month! You inspire me with every video! Especially your reading vlogs! I'm so proud of myself though I read 5 books this month and loved them all! I read Mr.Pendumbra's 24 hour bookstore which I recommenced! Then I read To all the boys i've loved before after watching them movie twice and loved it just as much as the movie! Then I listened to the Song of Achilles which is one of my all time favorite books now and So amazing you have to read it! And then I read P.S I Still Love You which I also loved and Finally I finished my book club pick of the month Shadow and Bone which I ended up Loving! I'm so happy with the books I read this month!
Charlottes Chapters I think it helps that she’s able to read on her commute. I used to read waaaay more when I had an hour on the train each morning and evening. But I still don’t know how she manages to read so much, especially when some of the books are huge!
Eight books is great, but I read 37 books last month and 33 in August, for example. I am disabled, so reading, reviewing and blogging fills my days. I’ve added YT to my repertoire.
You should do a video just about Brandon Sanderson. I really want to start reading him because of you and I think it would be helpful if you did a video explaining each series and your thoughts. There are just so many you talk about it’s hard to keep track
Lol I've given up on my goodreads goal; I'm about 30 books behind it
I adjusted mine to what I think I could get done by the end of year but still challenge myself and I'm already behind 😂
BOOKS❤❤❤❤❤❤!!!!!!!!!
Your sweater is cute. I'm currently reading The Graveyard Book, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, The Lies of Locke LaMora, The Crown's Game, Malice, Theft of Swords, Crazy Rich Asians, The Well of Ascension, Nevernight, Royal Assassin, and The Luminaries. That's only half of the books I have started. Unless its a library book, I start a lot of books, and don't come back to them for a while.
Same! Nice to know I'm not alone with this. :)
Also currently reading Theft of Swords, and Locke Lamora!
Unfortunately, I have only progressed in one, Theft Swords.
I read 10 books this month, 6 of them were NA books that were enjoyable but objectively not good 😂 i read the Girl Of Fire And Thorns trilogy which i adored !! And i also read The Darkest Minds which i enjoyed tho im not too big on dystopian
I just finished reading Three Dark Crowns, are you supposed to read the novellas before the third novel?
I was beginning to think I was the only one disappointed with City of Ghosts! I'm kind of relieved to hear someone felt the same way, though I'm sorry it didn't live up to your expectations! :/
Also that turtleneck is so beautiful omg
😍📚
I clicked on this video and as I’m watching, I think, “geez, Regan slow down! You’re talking so fast!” -- and then I realized I had my speed on 1.5. Oops haha!!!
Hey! Can u list off the books you'd recommend ftom this video? I really wanna check them out!
I’m currently reading Passenger by Alexandra Bracken and listening to the Audio version of the story and I really am enjoying it! Next I’m reading An Ember In The Ashes I don’t know if that book is good or not so I’m going to listen to that one on audio as well. Those are my goals for October and I Highly recommend listening to the audio version of Passenger it’s really super good!
I hope that Victoria (VE) Schwab continues more in the world of City of Ghosts. I think it is a very interesting world.
I really need to read The Last Magician. It is on my TBR.
And The Ocean Was Our Sky was just ok. I probably won't read it again.
I WANT COTY OF GHOSTS OMGGGG, sad you didn’t like it as much as you wanted to
2:47 i haven’t read City of Ghosts yet but I think it’s “less” than her other books bc it’s a middle grade
I really recommend that you read “The Faithful and the Fallen” series by John Gwynn! It’s a multi perspective fantasy series that follows the course of a God war. It’s so good! The first book is “Malice”
awesome
I read 14 books this month and only loved 3 of them
14? 😮 your username is indeed very accurate!
I was going to change it
How did you read 14 books
My dad wasn’t home for 10 days so I read a book each day
Well what were the good ones! :)
Oh my gosh, where did you get your sweater?! I luv it!!!
Honu grl she normally links all of her outfit details in the description box 🙂
I thought Two Dark Reigns was underwhelming, (which was probably my most anticipated read of the year 😕) there was barely any magic or anything original in it like the other books, just extremely bland typical YA politics and plot. The novella was legit when I read it however.
PS I just started Warbreaker and I’m loving it 😍
I don't know if you read comments or anything, but just a question if you do. Do you ever read Light Novels or any books from other countries that have been translated?
Have you read "Theft of Swords" by Michael Sullivan?
Do you have to read Brandon Sanderson’s other books before warbringer or can you start with that one
Brandon Sanderson wrote them in a way that you can read his series in any order. I however would highly recommend reading Warbreaker before Oathbringer. :)
City of Ghosts is a middle-grade novel, so that might be why you didn't enjoy it as much. Also, I really want to pick up The Last Magician after watching your video!
Amélie Boucher I was just about to comment that
You remind me Tata Estaniecki.
Hi Regan!! I love your videos AND outfits!! Greetings from Argentina, I hope we can meet someday 💛😘
Second!
Apparently, Edinburgh in City of Ghosts isn't very well researched and even the map in the beginning is incorrect. That puts me off.
Too much Sanderson! I cant wait till youve read all his books so I hopefully never hear about those soul suckers again.
You do you. I just cant stand his writing
I picked up the Patrick Ness yesterday :-) looks interesting, thanks for the rec
Have you read the Reckoners series by him? If you are not into the Cosmere books you might like those. TOTALLY different style. I loved it and was surprised he wrote them. They are much shorter/lighter reads. If you are into super heroes/action you should give it a shot! :)
I have never read anything by Lisa Maxwell, but I'm rather bummed listening to this as the MC in my WIP is named Esta.. Now I feel like I have to change that even though I know obviously authors use the same names as there are only so many... It will bug me though. sigh. lol
im the 5th comment
Regan you are my go to for fantasy recs! I’ve read so many that you’ve enjoyed and I’ve freaking loved all of them😍 thanks for making me pick up The Way of Kings a few months ago! I’m so ready to read Oathbringer now👌🏼
