I have been watching your videos for YEARSSS, pretty much at the beginning. You are one of my favorite booktubers of all time and I always look forward to seeing your videos because you're such a wonderful person and it's astonishing to see how much you've grown and changed into an amazing young woman. I hope this year is filled with more amazing stories to share!
Whenever I’m in a mini reading slump, watching your videos make me really excited to read again! ❤️
Same!
Omg same!!
The Crazy Rich Asian series is great! I feel like it gets crazier and even more family drama fun as you go on!
I LOVED The Wicked King!! 👑❤
I've read 10 books in January and I'm so happy ☺️
I REALLY need to pick up a Brandon Sanderson book!
The end to Cruel King knocked me off my feet!
this month i read the six of crows duology by leigh bardugo and the humans by matt haig
keeper of lost cities sounds sooo good omg
OMG there is so much hype with The Cruel Prince, will give it a try using Bookly app just so i can make sure that I will finish it (i'm quite a lazy reader..need to improve on this) since this book seems to be quite amazing..uuuuu can't wait :D
I’m reading The Cruel Prince currently and loving it! I can’t wait to get to The Wicked King! 🙊 So glad you enjoyed it!
Looks like you had a lot of fun reading!
In January I read:
The Martian
Ender's game
Brave new world
Half of a yellow sun
My favourite was Half of a yellow sun. It follows a family during the 60's in Nigeria. It was well-written and intriguing and I learnt a lot more about Nigerian history and geopraphy!
I love that yellowish color paper gets with time, especially the one they use in the US, I suppose they now smell like vanilla
The Wicked King does not take place directly after the end of The Cruel Prince. It takes place five or six months after the end of the first book ☺.
Lol my memory is terrible - how could I have forgotten?!
@@PeruseProject Happens to the best of us! Enjoyed your video, Regan 💕.
i just finished The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson !! My mind is blown!! I'm speechless after reading this book!! Thank you for recommending this series it has become one of my favorite series of all time. I can't wait to read more of brandon sanderson's books!!
Thank you for another great video! I’ve read Neal Shusterman Dry, which I really enjoyed and the first book of the Extinction Trials, again it was really good. 😊
I love the way you review YA, it’s fair to the genre without sugarcoating the perhaps more problematic aspects of the book while also highlighting the enjoyable parts.
Keeper of the Lost Cities is amazing!! It’s so nice to hear someone talk about it!!
So glad you loved CRA!!! The second one is my favorite in the series (China Rich Girlfriend) because we get more of Astrid’s story & I ADORE her!
January Wrap-Up:
- Books 3 + 4 of the Michael Vey series by Richard Paul Evans 4/5 stars
- City of Bones by Cassandra Clare (re-read) 5/5 stars
- The Siren by Kiera Cass 3/5 stars
- Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare 5/5 stars
- Archenemies by Marissa Meyer 5/5 stars

- Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa 4/5 stars
If you want a great ya superhero/villains book get Forging Hephaestus by Drew Hayes! I think it’s only on Audible but it’s incredible and very clever. The different powers and the way society handles these super people is really new.
Honestly one of my favorite books of all time!
I am SOOOO HAPPY that you’re enjoying Keeper of the Lost Cities!!! It’s one of my all time favorite series ever! There are just so many aspects of the story that is just written in such a great way for any reading level to understand💖💖💖
My favorite book I read this month was lady’s guide to petticoats and piracy! So good! 😊
Girl, I'm reading wicked king now you just made me so hype!!! I love your videos thanks for inspiring me to start a channel of my own with books! Such a great community of people !!!
I am currently reading Mistborn, Steelheart, The Assassination of Brangwain Spurge, and The Keeper of the Lost Cities right now and I am really liking them so far!
I love your videos!
I am so excited fo be reading Mistborn for the first time this year!!! You make me want to pick up Crazy Rich Asian’s before i watch the movie!
The Wicked King sounds sooooo good!!! I definitely want to pick that up.
I ended up reading 9 books and was so shocked! Feel a bit burnt out now though, hope I don't plummet lol
Picked up books 1-5 box set of Keepers of the Lost City. Finished book one in 2 days and started exile today. I’m usually not a middle grade book kinda person, but for some reason I took the leap after I saw your video and I’m so happy I did.
I plan on picking up Crazy Rich Asians this month I can’t wait! Especially after hearing how much you loved it! It’s great seeing you read more adult contemporary 👍🏼
I'm so glad you're reading the Keeper of the Lost Cities series 😊
Love waking up to your videos
Omg yessss. I read some of the books mentioned in your video and loved them too!!! I really like how you explain things and express your thoughts on them.
I love your sweater--- so cute!
Who needs to clean anyway? lmao. I dropped everything when I got the notification.😂
Savannah Robinson literally same!
Same! Lol
Sounds like a fun reading month!
I read Archenemies by Marissa Meyer, The Illuminae Files series by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff, and Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. Was a fun filled month of scifi reads!
I read anna karenina in January and I love it
the way you feel about Renegades is kinda the way I felt about The Cruel Prince :Dafter all the amazing things I heard about it, I just expected it to be better than just average
I love your videos! I read 7 books in January. Skyward by Brandon Sanderson (watch out Way of Kings, I’m coming for you next!), Slaughterhouse Five, Slapstick, Lincoln in the Bardo, Promethea Vol. 1, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and Wenjack. This made me really want to read the Mistborn series but I already have The Way of Kings so I think I’ll start there!
Just finished Nevermoor book one and two. So good!
Yesssss agreed! Just read the second one and loved it🤩
I read 9 books in January! I'm so happy!
Ranjan Awesome!! 😄 best of luck for February!
in january i finished the hero of ages for the first time and cried for like an hour
i just read A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer and i really loved it!
I loved renegades ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m not sure if you’ve read it before but for a contemporary book for you - I’d recommend “Goodbye Days”. It’s the perfect combo of that forbidden romance, and the Romeo & Juliet vibe. Families forgiving and coming together and then also pulling apart. If you read it please let me know how you liked it. I gave it a 4 star read.
Also - keeper lost cities exile... recommend?
I just can't stop wondering how could he do that at the end to that person he did it to? Lol. Seriously I was so astonished!
I read 4 books in January. SLEEPING BEAUTIES by Stephen King and Owen King, THE OUTSIDER by Stephen King, GIVE ME A K-I-L-L by R.L. Stine and GWENDY'S BUTTON BOX by Stephen King and Richard Chizmar. I loved them all especially R.L. Stine's book
I read 26 books this month! 5 of them were the Spiderwick Chronicles so those are really short books but I also read the 7th Keeper of the Lost Cities book and am highly anticipating the 8th one that comes out in November!
That's my reading goal for this year 😂
I also read Renegades this month I liked it.I like the kind of comics atmosphere with those superheroes
Love your videos 😍
Read crazy rich Asians this month and I fell in love on the second book now
Can't ever hear enough about Brandon Sanderson!
I started reading Kings of the Wyld. OMG It's so hilarious! I love the book so much that I bought Nicholas Eamen's 2nd book: Bloody Rose.
You should read the architects apprentice
I read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Atomic Habits, Glamorama, The Magician's Land, All Systems Red, Artemis Fowl and Intensity in January 😊
I think The Wicked King takes place like 4 months after The Cruel Prince not right after! But I might be mistaken
Looks like a great reading month! I was intrigued when you picked up that last book in your vlog. Sounds interesting! Love your content! 🌈
In January I read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, A Winter's Promise and its sequel The Missing of Clairdelune, The Nightingale, Big Little Lies, Skyward, Next Year in Havana, Educated, In an Absent Dream, Sing Unburied Sing, Doctor Sleep, The Princess Saves Herself in This One, and finished the latest Saga volumes. Luckily, only a couple reads were disappointments, so I feel like January was a success, haha. 💕
Holy shit, you killed it 👏
I read ten books this month:
1. Shadow and Bone
2. Siege and Storm
3. Ruin and Rising
4. Cruel Prince
5. Caraval
6. The Silence of the Lambs
7. Hannibal
8. Milk and Honey
9. 172 Hours on the Moon
10. This Is Where It Ends
Overall, I think my favorite read was Silence of the Lambs.
Jaycee E. You’re killing it man! Congrats! 😁
Woah, sounds like a great selection!! I read 9 books and overall was really happy with the content ^^
@@grey-vb7ox thank you!! (・∀・)
@@Wolfhailstorm I mostly read the Shadow & Bone trilogy because I want to start reading the 6 of Crows duology, but all the other books were a mix of recommendations between Reagan and some of my reader friends. (^.^)
I know what you mean about Renegades - I wanted it a lot more in depth because it had potential. Omg I've never heard that Crazy Rich Asians is like the modern Pride And Prejudice but it is honestly so true now that I think about it!
Definitely one of my top reads of January was A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir 😍
Loved this video
Finally finished The Name of the Wind and am halfway through Skyward! Not sure if I should read Eleanor and Park or Lady Midnight next.
Loved Crazy Rich Asians too.
Hey, Regan. I've been hesitant to read Crazy Rich Asians because I've known many of such family dramas. And seriously I experience such drama in real life(- the extreme wealth). But anyway I wanted to know if its angsty ?
You should check out the nevernight chronicles by jay kristoff the third one comes out this year it’s a wonderful dark fantasy series super dark I think you would love them
Question: is the “Keeper of Lost Cities” series as good as Harry Potter??? I’m really hoping there’s something else that exists in this world that can compare... 😬😬😬🤞
I'm thinking about rereading a book called michael vey the prisoner of cell 25 by richerd paul evans
Great video!!!
Have you ever read “Feed” by MT Anderson? It’s a YA dystopian before it was really a thing lol. But the social commentary and satire is so on point... it’s kind of eerie with how accurate it is/how much the world can be compared to and mirrors ours today. It’s really funny but also thought provoking and has some really cool/awesome little critiques. He wrote that Branqwain book which is what made me think of it!
Any tips on how to read faster?
To me, Crazy Rich Asians is NOTHING like pride and prejudice! Firstly, it isn't hate to love. Secondly, neither of our main characters even display pride or hold prejudices against one another. Also, in pride and prejudice, Elizabeth knows that Darcy is super rich. The ONLY similarities are the fact that at some of the side characters are that way. BUT that doesn't make the stories, plot, or characters anything alike. Not mad at you, just hate that this is a common comparison when they're really nothing alike at all. I just genuinely don't understand where people have gotten this idea that it is a retelling... or even comparable in any way. I'd love to hear your thoughts as to how they are similar in your opinion, though! Been enjoying finally getting to catch up on all your videos (Been super behind on my booktube watching, finally getting caught back up!)
Have you read the novella Mistborn Secret History? I just read it last month after I finished Era 2 and it is a game changer!!!!
I am almost done with a good book and I will probably cry T_T
ily boo❤️
I only read Queen of air and darkness in January
Nelli QOAAD is a brick!! Congrats on finishing it girl! 😄
You're gonna make Emma cry lol
Have you read The Song of Achilles? It is a beautiful book
Just finished The Song of Achilles!
Renegades is my life.
Fourth?? Good enough for me
Ughhhh I need to get my copy of the wicked king or I might actually die
What do you think of ken follet?
Are you going to read archenemies by marissa meyer?
So I just binge watched most of your videos from January of last year to this year and I noticed a pattern so you make a video on the same books more than once justin the month of January the three videos you have posted are the same books that this videos is about!
the cruel prince was one of my least favorite books in 2018, i feel so bad because everyone else loves it and i’m the odd one out 😅
Emily Lauren I thought the same thing 😂😂, I couldn’t really stand the main character
It wasn't as good as everyone made it seem
I think you should read Nevernight by Jay Kristoff
I couldn't finish Renegades it was very disappointing
I love renegades hahah
Is The Folk of the Air series a trilogy? I don’t think I can handle a third cliffhanger in the third book HAHA
Yes, it is a trilogy. The writer confirmed that there will be other books that take place in the same world in the future. But for now, it's just a trilogy.
Sofia D. thank goodness!
Can someone let me know if it’s Marisa [ MAY-ER] or [MY-ER] ?
It’s Marissa Meyer
Crazy Bookgirl I mean the pronunciation
I say My-er but idk for sure lol
I think it’s My-er but I could be wrong.
