Unpopular opinion but I thought the first Red Rising book was the strongest of the trilogy…

I don't read contemporary romance, unless it is m/m, so Emily Henry doesn't sound like my cup of tea, but I enjoyed this vlog.

I always felt like I was the only person who didn't love Book Lovers and Beach Read. Funny story and Happy Place though though were so good!!

Girl, you are BREATHING romance in this one, whoa. :D Emily Henry is terrific. Also, for the next time the hyperfixation comes, try Carley Fortune. She's excellent at dramatic romance. Also, the "German show" got me too and season 2 is already announced and oh my gosh, the ANGST it's going to deliver is already making me a little insane.

I feel like everyone loves Happy Place but me.

Happy Place was literally my unhappy place, because the entire book wouldn't exist if everyone would just Talk. To. Each. Other. I was so frustrated the whole time and just couldn't enjoy it. However, I love all of her other books. PWMOV is a fave bc I looooove friends to lovers.

The readability of Emily Henry's books is unmatched for me. Even if I don't give a book 5 stars, I love them. I devour them in a day or two and crave more. She is one of the only authors I preorder and read as soon as they come out.

Wow, congratulations on 10 years! I can't quite remember if I began watching booktube videos in 2014 or 2015, but I do know you were the third booktuber I watched consistently, and you have been the go-to channel for fantasy recommendations from the get-go, The Fifth Season being one that, as expected, was absolutely great.

Watching this as I pack for my bookish girls trip. Can't wait to head up to Michigan and read Funny Story this weekend!

I really like Emily Henry but I really didn’t like Happy Place 😬 I liked the romance in it but I got so annoyed at how terrible the friendship group were and the fact that these people who have been friends for like 10 years literally can’t talk to each other about anything and I just couldn’t deal with it

I love Emily Henry. She's one of my favorite authors. My ranking goes Funny Story, Book Lovers, Beach Read, Happy Place, and People We Meet on Vacation. The first three are all 5 stars and the other other two are 4.5 stars, so I honestly love all of them!!

I thought I didn’t like second chance romance until I read Happy Place and Forget Me Not by Julie Soto… i highly recommend that one too if you wanna try more of that subgenre!!!

Miles is top tier! Funny Story is without a doubt my favorite Emily Henry book.

This is off topic, but because of one of your other videos a while back, I read the Grace Draven Fallen Empire series. You have similar taste in romance as me and I'm obsessed with this series... well I was obsessed with the first one, the second one was lovely but not as good as the first, but I'm commenting mostly because I'm reading the third one now (Raven Unveiled) and that one is more on par with the first in terms of tension and drama and I'm loving it. I think you will, too (I don't know if you ever ended up getting to it). Don't know if you wanted more romance, but highly recommend finishing out the Fallen Empire series. It's Siora/Gharek from the second book and it's *chef's kiss*. More on topic, I love your Reading Vlogs even when I have no interest in the books because you're just such a joy to watch. (I generally don't even care for vlogs at all, let alone about books I'm not super interested in), but I still love having you on in the background while I'm cozy gaming. Thanks for the vibes!
